I thought this blog was spared, but I scrolled far enough and NOPE LMAO. Connie Maheswaran and horses are deemed too lewd for tumblr.

That being said, I’m sure you all are familiar enough with what’s going on. As you’ve probably guessed, I’ve been a bit more active on twitter and instagram lately, so I’ll more than likely keep using those as my main art platforms. I’ll keep this blog and update it too, but it’s on the backburner, really. I’m also looking at joining Pillowfort.

I wanted to practice with my watercolors a bit, so I painted a little Connie. Hi! Just wanna tell you that you were (and still are!) a huge inspiration to me. You got me into Steven Universe but I also appreciate your variety and how open and transparent you are about things. You show us your best but also the messy, less perfect stuff that a lot of artists put aside - and you build your world(s) so well! I’ve improved in my own artwork because of you and I’m sorry it’s been a hard year, but I’ll be waiting for you when you come back 💙 even so, thank you for everything!

What are you using to color your chickens?

A cheap pack of markers from Michael’s (Artist’s Loft is the brand), and a black pen!

Also doodled a quick Steeb, since it feels like it’s been a billion years since I’ve drawn him!! 😭

Also want to take a moment to touch base with you all, since I’ve been more or less ghosting this account for a while now....

2018′s just.....not been a great year. Like, even looking at my art folders, comparing this point in 2017 to now, there was SO much more art. Life’s just been pulling lots of punches this year, between family things, mental things, and other things, I’ve been terribly lacking in any sort of motivation and inspiration. Add that on top of being sort of nervous about coming back??? Like, I’ve been gone so long I feel like everyone here has probably moved on, or is annoyed at me for just...disappearing like I usually do, haha.... 

I want to finally hop back in the saddle and be more active here again, though. I’m starting to feel better, mentally (just got over a rough patch of depression, yikes....) and I’m learning more and more ways to manage my time and stay focused! I still want to open commissions, eventually, but I feel like I should post a bit more before asking for anyone’s money haha.... 

So, all that being said, I’m still sort of at a loss for how to come back to tumblr. SU’s been in hiatus hell, so I’ve not had much inspiration there, though I do miss it, and I miss Connverse. :”( I want to draw them more!!  Anyway, please let me know what you’d like to see more of, going forward! I want to do my best and try to get back in my old rhythm of things <3

Trying to make more of an effort to doodle more! I tend to try too hard with all of my art, that I burn out frequently...which is probably why this year hasn't been great for art, oof.... So, to combat that, I'm going to try just mindlessly doodling in my sketchbook, at least 15 mins. a day! No worrying about quality, or how well it'll be received, just to doodle! Today I doodled some of my witchsona!
