Best Hockey Romance Series’s

So, I’m pretty picky when it comes to books. while I absolutely love hockey romance novels, I find a majority of them are bit too lighthearted or “fluffy” for my taste. I need the angst, I need the drama, I need the feels, and I find that a bit hard to find.

I’ll start things off with the last book I read

The Rake by LJ Shen

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did I finish this book in less then 12 hours? Yes, yes I did.

I should start by saying I’m not an LJ Shen stan, I liked her Sinners of Saints and All Saints High series’s and the stand-alone Dirty Headline and Midnight Blue. Beyond these I’ve been pretty unimpressed, especially with her Boston Belles series, so I took a chance by reading the last book in the series and was pleasantly surprised that I did not in fact, hate it.

It was an enjoyable read I genuinely enjoyed Emmabelle and Devon and their relationship. While some people may run for the hills when they see a pregnancy in a main part of the book, I am a whore for them and really loved this aspect of the book. This is definitely the first time I haven’t DNFed a planned pregnancy novel.
