*quietly peers from around a corner, seeming to hide, but also faintly smirking with the knowledge she cannot hide from the older nin*
She just continues on with her task. Quietly slicing lemons. She was fully aware that her cousin was approaching, but she would wait untill she was addressed.
“What are they for?” Katt asked, nodding to the lemons as she slowly came around the corner to lean against the wall. This isn’t the topic she came for, but it’ll due to start things off as she fiddles with her necklace. The necklace is new, a miniature headband on a black cord, however, the village symbol is hidden by her thumb.
“I’m going to put them in my water jug. For taste.” She responds easily, not looking up from the task. As with most things she did, her slicing technique was uniform and neat.
She nodded, watching the slicing. It was almost calming to watch such a smooth and repetitive task for some reason, but the idea of lemon water caused her to wrinkle her nose slightly for a moment. ‘To each, their own’ was the only way to describe the look that passed over her face for a moment before she remembered her reason for coming here. “What do you think of clan loyalty?” She asked, keeping her eyes trained on the older Uchiha’s hands and the lemons.
She pauses briefly in her slicing before she resumed it. “Do you want the opinion of Itachi Uchiha, Daughter of the Uchiha clan head. Or do you want the opinion of just Itachi?”
Katt hesitated for a moment, rubbing her thumb over the necklace’s charm absentmindedly as she considered that question. For a very brief moment, the symbol of the sand village was visible as she fiddled with it. “Both? If you don’t mind.” She asked softly, her usually hyperactive personality lost in a deep sense of confliction over some untold issue.
“Itachi Uchiha would tell you that loyalty for your clan, and to a further extent your villiage, are of the utmost importance and should come before all else. Your life included.” She rinsed of her knife and put it away.
“And…Just Itachi?” She asked quietly, her eyes almost seeming to plead for a contradictory response as they moved from the knife to her cousin’s face as the object was put away.
“Fuck ‘em.”
Katt blushed fiercely, and closed her hand around the necklace’s charm, at that remark before her brain processed it past the initial insinuations it could carry, visibly relaxing when she realized that the ‘fuck’ was not meant literally. However, the blush persisted. “I see…Thank you.” She said softly, stepping back to leave…unless the other had grown curious over what brought on this line of questioning in the first place.
She sets up the water pitcher and starts placing the lemon slices inside. “Is there any particular reason why you asked?”
She froze in place for a moment, biting her lower lip lightly as she considered if she should tell her before deciding that it couldn’t hurt anything. “I…I’m kind of dating a Sand nin.” She admitted softly, both to dating outside of the clan…and the entire village.
She stops what she’s doing and turns around. “For your sake I suggest you either keep it secret or break it off. ”
Katt looked surprised by the sudden shift in demeanor, shifting a bit herself as she stepped back. She looked around for a moment, though it was unclear if she was doing so to make sure they were alone or to simply avoid eye contact. “I couldn’t break it off…and I’m not sure how long I could keep it a secret.” She admitted after a silence.
“How serious is this relationship?” She turns back around to return to her task.
Katt became very interested in a spot on the floor and prodded at it with her foot. “Perhaps more serious that it should be...It’s been going since the chunin exams” She said softly, referring to the exams in which she participated with Sasuke’s generation, about 7 years ago when she was around 13.

I always knew Sasuke danced like a white dad
He only dances like that to hide his true power.
Send 🕯 to hear what I think your muse would smell like as a candle
alternatively send 🕯+ reverse to see what I think my muse would smell like.
if someone is feeling upset, depressed or suicidal, can they talk to you? if yes, please reblog this so they know they can message you.
Yes. I really want to offer emotional support but I’m worried I’m bad at it. But I’m willing to listen.
@lord-orochimaru-sama Can I have a snek in the base?
“Serpents of all types are always welcome in Otogakure. You will see them everywhere here.”
I see you on a daily basis, does that count, Orochimaru?
“It could easily be arranged for you to also have your own snake companion. Just make sure they don’t slither into the bathrooms, both of you. It doesn’t bother me, but Sasuke-kun was quite disturbed when one of them somehow slithered into the medicine cabinet.”
Soooo Leave a snek on my brother’s pillow?! Got it!!!! *runs to fill Sasuke’s bed with various snakes.*
@lord-orochimaru-sama Can I have a snek in the base?
He gets mad when people don’t appreciate his plants
@kattomie
What if he sent this to Katt lmao?
“It’s beautiful, but I’m kind of on a mission right now babe” was the first thing through my head XD
