@katwisx
true. story.
1. What was your main inspiration behind the story you have created?
I originally wrote Admissions as a response to 9/11. When that tragic event occurred, I felt enormous compassion for the family of humanity because I knew we were entering into another cycle of attack and counterattack...
The festival starts this Friday! You can't miss it! :D
Another CyclingForRekko post! Follow us guys and donate!
A little note I wrote for Initiative I am supporting.
You should support it too! It's maddness combined with a lot of good will, so why not?!
Interested in Screenwriting?
Ever wondered what happened to your script when you send it to the BBC?
How they assess your work? What grabs them and what puts them off?
Henry R. Swindell, New Writing Manager for BBC Writersroom North will host a workshop which focuses on championing writers from...

“You have to be precious about your own creative state. Create a network of people who help foster that.”
Kate Kendall, Founder and CEO of The Fetch speaking at CreativeMornings/Melbourne(*watch the talk)
So that happened. Ang Lee stopped off an In-N-Out.
Amazing. Simply amazing.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
How about "Cocaine Blues" as casual lullaby or bed time story?
I just had this vision while listening to Johnny Cash.
Johnny reading/singing "Cocaine Blues" to his kids while putting them to bed. Instead of "They live happily ever after" he would say: "Come on, you gotta' listen unto me, lay off that whisky, and let that cocaine be."
I bet those kids would be the walking angels.
Now, more Johnny Cash and time to sleep. There is long day ahead tomorrow and hopefully I will still manage to clebrate Orange Wednesday at 22.00 screening of "Gangster Squad". Another great example of the bed time story.
Beauty!
A little list of weird customers' cases.
As my autumn-winter seasonal job in that not very nice coffee shop is eventually over (Hallelujah!) I decided to make a special list of the various types of customers. Maybe it will inspire one of you, writer-reader out there! Or maybe you'll identify yourself in that group!
GROUP A/ ACTUAL CUSTOMERS.
- Normal Customers.
- Ignorant Customers: ordering coffee 2 minutes before their train expecting you to make their large cappuccino or hot chocolate with cream (!) and marshmallows (hello diabetes!) in 30 seconds and additionally they're getting annoyed with you because they're gonna "Miss their train"! Ah, living in their own little world, bless.
- Weird Coffee Lovers: ordering coffees according to their own recipe. (making it for their own risk)
- Coffee Beginners: ordering espresso expecting to get latte. It happened, true story.
- Indecisive Customers.
- Loyal Customers: you just know their "usuals" by heart.
- Nice Customers: they're actually aware you are only a human being.
- Customers in a bad mood - acceptable only if they apologize. We're all just people, but there are some limits!
GROUP B./ FAKE CUSTOMERS
- Asking for bins.
- Asking for bus timetable.
- Asking for directions.
- Asking for change.
- Asking for car park.
I will definitely not miss Group B.
Now, bedtime as I'm shuttered.
Btw, I'm helping out on this little initiative that's actually getting bigger and bigger. Check it out:

I took those amazing quality (NOT) pictures!
Presents versus Gifts. Yes, I see the difference!
Eating my breakfast I came to the conclusion that there is a massive difference for me between "presents" and "gifts". I try to explain myself.
Presents are usually the ones given because of the occasion. You just turn eighteen, you graduated, you got new job.
Gifts are given without any particular occasion; they're given, because someone wants us to have that little thing. Sometimes, because that person wants to cheer us up, improve on our life or maybe change a bit.
I still like presents as much as I like gifts, but the truth is that some gifts have changed my life a bit and keep improving it, mostly because they came as a surprise. Behind those gifts there are PEOPLE, who unconsciously are telling you through those innocent objects how well they know you.
My favourite gifts include all sort of things: books, flowers, make up things, notebooks, postcards, chocolates, cakes. I have lately got moka pot delivered to my very own door. Someone knows that I love good coffee and I love to have it especially for breakfast. I don't think that that person realizes that now I love waking up early in the mornings as I can't wait for the little ritual of making coffee and breakfast the same time AND the earlier I wake up, the happier I am and I will get more work done!
I love my little and big gifts. I hope that some of the gifts I gave to my beloved people have made them smile the same way I am smiling while drinking my morning coffee. Yes, it makes me feel cool!
Back to work!
Reality versus Truth(?) in my 100th post!
"Reality versus Truth" is just a little, random quote from some article I came across few days ago, but it made me think (even though it's totally out of context here).
Lately I have found myself reshaping or evaluating like a Pokemon or something. So I went to this employability centre in my old university to dig out more information about the bursaries or scholarships for my postgraduate degree. The polite man in the glasses told me that "unfortunately, there is no magic answer" for my question. Here comes the reality, I cannot afford the course I would like to do and there is no way I can guarantee that I will be able to pay them from my own pocket. Maybe the truth is that not attending this course will give me a chance to get more relevant and infulential experiences for my career? If I use this time properly of course. There is no real battle though in this case - maybe the reality backs up the truth? I'm confused.
I was lucky enough to get a new job and at the same time get on board something fresh and exciting. My head is buzzing with the ideas and I am ready to broaden horizons. I need to become flexible with my creative skills, which I think might be a great step forward for my career and let me get closer to my ultimate goal.
In the meantime I will celebrate my 100th post with little, soya cappuccino. I swear it's turning into my signature drink!
Here are the stills from all the previewed films! Enjoy!
