I have played paralives for several hours now:
The amount of customization is amazing! Sliders are a little confusing when you first hop into it and def need some rework on some of them but otherwise, its amazing
I do hope they add more accessibility tools and devices for disabled paras! They currently only have a hearing aid, mask, and prosthetic leg (that doesn’t work currently when applying, at least for me)
THE BLACK HAIR SELECTION IS AMAZING! I do hope they add way more in the future but there was definitely more than 6 of them! (They even included them damn kilmongers)
You can tuck in SOME shirts and layer them with different tops. However, you can’t tuck in pants to boots currently and there is some major clipping.
Patterns are not added with the clothes so if I wanted a funky texture, not possible but THERES A COLOR WHEEL
Tattoo choices are shitty booty right now but with future updates ( and mods), it works perfectly with free placements.
The UI is clear but its also way too big and takes up some of the screen, I would prefer a more minimalist look to the UI.
There are bugs in gameplay, thats to be expected, it just came out.
The FPS rate is pisspoor and laggy in some aspects and def needs work but I am sure devs will get it!
The way relationships work in the game is an amazing concept as well as leveling up in a career! It makes things way more complex and you are not guaranteed a negative or positive relationship! Plus the fact that your para may like another one, but that para may not like yours. Vice versa and etc
I appreciate being able to edit the story telling settings! Being able to slow down time gives space for so much more work to be done!
No traditional loading screens! There is a pop up that says “loading lot” but it opens up immediately
YOU CAN GO SHOPPING AND BUY STUFF IN PERSON
There is a hospital if your para gets sick!
Build/Buy mode is CHEFS kiss! The customization of everything is absolutely beautiful and wonderful! The free placement, resizing! Only downside is there dan be clipping within interactions (like placing a pillow on the bed)
There are 8 life stages: Newborn, toddler, child, pre-teen, teenager, young adult, adult, and elder. AND there is gradual growth so your newborns-teen gets taller as they get closer to the next life stage.
Caring for the newborn paras is HARD and glitchy in alot of ways
If you are thinking about getting paralives, I say get it now while its $35-$39.
Because the price will go up in the future!
For a brand new simulaton game from a small indie team: 10/10
But with actual critiques to what it is currently 6-7/10
(Reminder the game just dropped and its to be expected to have issues!)
