Welcome to The Midnight Hour - a time when mysterious creatures of the night revel beneath the darkened skies and pearly moonlight. This Sims 4 legacy challenge will take you through 10 generations of storybook-esque occult gameplay!
General Rules:
Max the skills listed and complete all the gameplay goals.
Reach the top of your career.
Each generation has two aspirations. Switch between them during gameplay in order to complete both unless otherwise specified.
Normal lifespan is recommended, but you can play on any lifespan you want.
Cheating for money is allowed (although not recommended).
Do not cheat for skills or goals (unless you encounter glitches/bugs in which case please be my guest and cheat).
Use the hashtag #midnighthourlegacy to share your gameplay.
Notes:
Each generation has a CAS, build, and gameplay specific challenge.
Most packs are needed to play this challenge in its entirety. I urge you to change up any rules or goals to suit your own gameplay and whatever packs you have.
As occult gameplay is often lacking, I highly recommend playing with mods/cc to enhance your gameplay. Always download and add mods/cc to your game with caution.
Disclaimer:
There may be some issues with completing certain goals in this challenge due to the already existing lore in The Sims 4 where certain occults do not get along with one another (werewolves and vampires hating each other upon meeting, also fairies disliking spellcasters and vampires). 11 - Do your protagonists approve of each other's major decisions? What do they think they would have done differently?
Irene Amell vs Ann Hawke and Ma'ven Lavellan - As Warden Irene died alongside the Archdemon to end the Fifth Blight, she hoped her sacrifice would do right by mages, proving their worth and integrity to Thedas by saving the world. So she'd really not have approved of ever-vocal "Anders Was Right" cheerleader Ann Hawke, or ex-Inquisitor Lavellan's platform of We Have to Save Solas, Guyssss. These two mages lost the plot by getting wrapped up in the machinations of even worse mages, and Irene would not approve of one dang decision made by them.
Rafaela de Riva vs Lennie Laidir - Rafaela is going to kill Lennie eventually :] Lennie directed the Veilguard to protect Minrathos over Treviso, and she also went very public with their findings regarding Andrastrian lore/history, sending the Chantry into a spiral during an incredibly delicate time. Laidir and de Riva's motives often clash, and although these contradictory decisions support the rumors that there are many Rooks (thus safeguarding their anonymity and ability to act), it makes for a very heated dinner at the Lighthouse.
Rafaela de Riva and Lennie Laidir vs Ma'ven Lavellan - They both think she's an idiot. They couldn't care less about what was going on in the south during 'Inquisitor Times', but like... the Solas thing is ridiculous .
26 - How do they each handle loss?
Ma'ven - Bury herself in work. Act like everything is fine. Eventual meltdown.
Vinya Lavellan - Hit things but talk it out with someone (almost anyone, really, if they'll share a tankard with her).
Irene - A lot of crying before quiet self-reflection.
Augustine Cousland - Shrug it off.
Ann - Hit things. Smash things. Light things on fire.
Mary Hawke - Turn to Andraste, read the Chant, and/or talk to the local Chantry mother.
Lennie - D r i n k.
Rafaela - Eat, pray, love in that order.
27 - What is their favourite location in their own game, and what would be their favourite in each other's?
Ma'ven - Loves Skyhold's rotunda and ends up spending a lot of time in the Lighthouse's secret rooms.
Irene - She has a little closet she likes to hide in, but she would have preferred Leliana's aviary if she lived to see it. For smoochy reasons :)
Ann - Feels most at peace visiting Merrill's home, and enjoyed Skyhold's mage tower a lot. Never thought she'd like something like that, but the mages were given a lot of respect and freedom.
Lennie - Fave place in Lighthouse: perched upon Emmrich's desk, wine bottle in hand, smirk upon face. Fave place otherwise: she'd have loved to see the Temple of Sacred Ashes. Lots of secrets, artifacts, and loot to explore!
Rafaela - The Lighthouse kitchen table with all her paperwork in front of her (scheduling and organizing = soothing) while the smells of freshly brewed coffee surround her. But my-oh-my what she wouldn't have given to take a peak into Josephine Montilyet's office.
having Guss around was great. he did everything Chris hated, namely household repairs and cooking, plus he was an astronaut, so his paycheque was delish!
Can a smudged plate recast the course of a budding relationship? In the case of Chris Packet and Guss Dairy, the answer is yes :) As soon as Chris had finished snacking upon a most sumptuous light lunch (Chobani) placed upon gleaming porcelain, Guss whisked in to wash said plate, and Chris, with the low standards befitting a pixel person persisting within a world of simulation, decided yeah... yeah, that's the guy for me.
Things eventually fizzled out with the commitment-averse Miss Lucille Spenster (from TS3!), but for one magical afternoon... they danced the dance of lurv.
