I actually recommend everyone write for a rarepair once because it completely changes your relationship with fandom. Engagement stops being numbers and starts being names. PARAM: There’s no science out there on how we exist, man! And, believe me, I’ve searched. I love Navita, and I would do it again, but we were both thrust into this thing with no preparation. Aren’t you curious
ARGUS: Of course! But to give up medicine…
PARAM: Today, I got offered a job in the carnivorous plant lab. They’re going to let me continue my research on the side. I’m not asking you to leave neurosurgery, but if you ever happen to wander over… you’re welcome to whatever information I find.
ARGUS: Thanks, buddy. Sorry this got blown out of proportion.
PARAM: Just tell your friends to stop peeping in my windows.

Anders grins, finally meeting Nathaniel’s eyes now that he has a light-hearted jab in mind. “You'd better not be calling reading letters from your fiancée a vice.”
“Sometimes it feels like a guilty pleasure,” Nathaniel chuckles, shaking his head. “But no, I’m certain Miss Cousland would not appreciate being referred to as a ‘vice.’”
Anders’ jaw drops, stumbling over his own feet as the realization fully sets in. He knows that name, knows of the family it belongs to. “Wait, Corinne Cousland? Of the Couslands? You’re marrying a general’s daughter?”
Nathaniel’s warm smile grows slightly as he slows his pace, allowing for Anders to catch his footing. “The very one.”
