#today is my first day of taking lexapro #my anxiety has been so bad lately and I’m going to start meeting with a therapist next week #but I also talked to my pcp about adjusting my medication and that’s what she recommended #I’m gonna take it for a month and then have a follow up with her to see how things are going #all very straightforward and normal #but to my mother it is a VERY big deal #she is all onboard with having a mental health journey and pursuing both emotional and physical solutions #but she’s learned that a) lexapro is also for depression (which I don’t have an issue with)#and b) one of the common side effects is increased suicidal thoughts #she’s checked in twice today to see how I’m feeling #which I really do appreciate and know that it’s coming from love #but I am not looking forward to fielding all her emotions for the next month #god tag novel what is this 2010?
