Kaveh Ertefai serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Activ Solar, which develops utility-scale, solar photovoltaic power stations and provides engineering, procurement, and construction services. Since its inception, Kaveh Ertefai’s company has developed a number of sizable stations in Europe, including Perovo Solar Park, one of the world’s largest and most impressive solar power installations. Activ Solar works with Diamond Aircraft Industries to continually research and develop new photovoltaic technologies for producing environmentally friendly energy and delivering it at an affordable price. Last year, the two companies unveiled a solar aircraft wing that could revolutionize the aircraft industry. Ultimately, the company hopes to discourage reliance on traditional forms of energy, such as natural gas and oil, and has lobbied to encourage industry growth. Through Activ Solar, Kaveh Ertefai also markets high-purity polysilicon, which it manufactures through a plant located in Zaporizhia, Ukraine. A graduate of the New York University Stern School of Business, Kaveh Ertefai holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. He also has a TRIUM MBA having also studied at the London School of Economics and Hautes Études Commercials (HEC) in Paris. Before founding Activ Solar, he worked extensively in the finance industry, specializing in the structuring of international bond issues for governments, corporations, and large banks. He has worked at UBS Investment Bank in London, functioning as the head of Middle East and Africa Debt Capital Markets. In addition, he worked in the bank’s Central and Eastern Europe Debt Capital Markets division. In his spare time, Kaveh Ertefai remains active by mountain biking, playing squash, and skiing. He also enjoys sailing.
