on this topic but only kind of: the other day i saw someone rant about "the player" in relation to jack and the evil route and. i just. that's not a thing

like as far as i'm aware (which i think is plenty) you play as jack kennedy in a very typical standard rpg way. like you Are jack. there's no player-protag separation here. this isn't deltarune this isn't a theme the game introduces or explores

you can't pin the evil route on "the player". like. ok. Yeah. you make it happen. but in the same way you make every other route happen. you're universally at the wheel. without you playing the game there is no story that unfolds to begin with

it's just so dumb to me sorry Guys no the player made him do it. without us he never would have killed those children! he would have stuck to his promise!
