kawashima-ami-chan:
"I see." He picked up the last few books to be shelved in that section, returning them to their proper places. "Well, it’s not hard to find your way around Newstark; Rosedale, on the other hand, is mostly open fields so you can get turned around when you venture past the town itself." He spoke from experience, a childhood incident where he’d gotten lost himself while exploring. "The library stands out among the other buildings, though."
He was about to wheel the cart away when he remembered - the head librarian would either be taking a short break, or was busy with something else other than book returns. He’d started out with the simple tasks, but by now, Riku could be asked to handle everything should the need arise. “Is there anything I can help you with?” Better to ask while he was still here; that way, he could help her take care of it, and if he rushed to return the books now, the wait for his shift to end would likely become boring.
"I'll be fine by myself," She answered curtly. Ami had actually found it rather soothing, just to be wandering around in the countryside, without a bunch of media people beside her. If she got lost, well she'd find her way back eventually, or just call someone to pick her up. "It's the only library in these towns, of course it would."
The bluenette was about to say no when she realized he was probably a library assistance. Might as well ask him instead of looking around for the actual librarian. "Yea actually I wanted to get a library card." She picked up her bag, making sure to check if her phone and money was inside.

kawashima-ami-chan:
Finally giving in, he gave a nod of defeat; it was fair after all, though Misaki probably wouldn’t even eat anything anyways…just because he didn’t want her to spend her money. He hated any time when he felt like a charity case, and despite paying for the skate rental, his mentality stayed strong. So he’d just tell her he agreed even when he had no intention of taking her dough.
The red walked after her; hobbling a little himself because really, who wouldn’t while wearing these things; thankful she couldn’t see him being all stumbly. There was a burst of wind that made him shiver for a moment before he got adjusted, stepping onto the ice and sliding both feet on it. “Thanks." He gruffed at her holding the door open. There were children all around and other teens, all smiling and laughing and sliding around the rink. “Alright…let’s go then, I g-guess."
Glancing around the rink, Ami saw that it was mostly teens and children skating. All the parents were sitting on the bleachers surrounding it, chatting and drinking coffee and tea. It wasn't as crowded as she had expected though which was good since it was a pain to skate in crowds of people who couldn't skate at all.
"Mmm," She nodded, walking over to the ice. Gripping the railings surrounding the perimeter, she lifted her foot onto the ice quickly followed by the other. The motion made her slip slightly, her hand on the railing steadying her.
It had been almost a year since she had last went skating, but it seemed she still had the hang of it as she began skating around people. The bluenette looked behind her, realizing she had forgotten to wait for Misaki.

kawashima-ami-chan:
"It’s fine, it’s fine.." He insisted with a nervous chuckle, letting go of the skates once she had firmly grasped them. Her’s were more pretty and white while his…looked all battered and black. It was easy to tell which skates were meant for males and which for females.
Misaki’s face widened and his blush grew to the point where he could feel his ears get hot; was she…flirting with him?! He didn’t know what to do in this situation so he cleared his throat and sat at the bench to put on his skate, feeling flustered. This wasn’t a date, right? Because it was sort of seeming like a date, and she was acting all cutesy…but Misaki hadn’t intended it to be a date. He was just showing her a good time in the new city…and he hoped she understood that.
He was just not ready for the whole ‘dating’ thing yet…or probably ever, really. That wasn’t his style, or who he was.
Finishing lacing himself up he looked back up at Ami, feeling extremely nervous, He hoped she knew how to skate…he didn’t think he could handle holding hands with her or any of that sappy stuff. He’d probably faint on the spot.
Women. Misaki was not made to interact with women.
"You don’t have to, I can pay for myself." He responded; he still had enough money for a small soda or something, though nothing more. He stood up, and though for a few seconds it felt weird, he got adjusted. Skateboarding really helped him with his balance. “Okay…are ya ready to go in?"
Ami couldn't help but laugh at is blushing face, though she turned away to cover it. He was actually pretty cute when he was acting all embarrassed......as in cute like a little kid way. She shook her head of the thought.
Honestly she was just glad that she had someone to hang out with, who she could be more natural around. The bluenette didn't know if she could actually show her true self around the people in this town. She had moved away from the ones who didn't care about her actual attitude or the fact that she was a model. It would probably only be a matter of time too, before people started hanging around her for that.
"No, don't argue. You paid for the skates, so I'll pay for the food." She pointed out bluntly, finally managing to steady herself. "Let's go inside now." She tilted her head towards the rink and hobbled over to the door.
As Ami pulled opened the door, a blast of freezing air immediately tugged at her shirt. She should have brought a jacket. Oh well, the cold would go away once she actually started skating. Holding the door open, she waited for Misaki to come in.

kawashima-ami-chan:
Well at least he wouldn’t mess up with this option (hopefully). Misaki was a balanced kid, skateboarding helped him a lot with coordination. Most sports that involved those two aspects were easy for him to pick up on; it just came naturally. So if he had confidence in anything today, it was that he knew he wouldn’t face plant in the ice rink.
Thank the heavens.
He was startled once again when she touched him for a second time, dragging him to the rental desk. He had dug up some extra money; he couldn’t spare much, in his poor state; so he at least had enough to pay for the skates and admission. Nothing else though…maybe a soda but that’s all. Oh well.
"Eh? I’m a 9." He responded and the shoes were given to them. He paid for the both of them since that was what gentlemen did, and handed her her shoes. “H-here."
"You didn't have to pay for those," She gratefully accepted the skates. "But thank you for being such a gentlemen to Ami," She batted her eyelashes and turned to sit on a bench. Argghh....she grumbled underneath her breath. She had told herself she'd try to change her behavior. It had almost became second nature in the past few years though.
Lacing on the laces, the model thought about her skating experiences. She definitely wasn't pro at the sport, but she could probably manage to skate around without making a complete embarrassment out of herself.
"I'll pay for the concessions when we take a break," Ami stated. It didn't feel right to her to have someone pay for everything. She hadn't actually expected Misaki to pay either. Standing up, the bluenette tried to keep her balance on the ground, wobbling slightly.

kawashima-ami-chan:
He cringed as several of the books on the cart hit the floor; as the teen knelt to pick them up, he noticed the blue-haired female stirring - rather, stretching.
"Sorry ‘bout that; didn’t realize how close I actually was to this thing," Riku said, faintly apologetic, a hand resting lightly on one end of the book cart. He moved it away, quickly to a position that didn’t block the way as much; resting against the table as it was, it left only a space of about three feet where one could pass. He used his actions to hide his closer inspection of the other teen; he found earlier assumption to be true - this girl wasn’t all that familiar to him, so likely she’d just transferred in. But it couldn’t hurt to ask.
"…by the way…are you new here?"
"Its fine," She smiled, picking up two books that had fallen closer to her. Standing up, she gently placed them on top of the book shelf, taking in the newcomer. His hair was an rather interesting color, silverish blue. He also didn't seem that much older than her.
Nodding, Ami answered his question. "Yea, my family moved to Newstark Town about two weeks ago. I only came to Rosedale today since I have a small break." A break from shooting that was. She had decided to look around Rosedale, having seen the majority of Newstark in the past week. She had to do it now too, before school started.

kawashima-ami-chan:
"O-of course I came…" His fingers moved all the way through his red locks to scratch the back of his neck, one nervous movement replaced by another. He gave a shaky grin, not knowing what to do with himself, or how to act. He had never really talk to a girl before; let alone hung out with one; so this was all so new and weird.
They were like a foreign species to him.
Suddenly Misaki was rushed inside the building and his face broke out in a red blush because fuck, a female was touching him. Nobody touched him unless they were trying to beat him up, and the only girl who ever had before had been his mother. And that was a long time ago.
"W-we could go ice s-skating…or…watch a play…" The skater had never had a preference for what they were to do here, he just hoped it wasn’t incredibly embarrassing. “You’re new, so you p-pick."
"A play......." Ami mused looking at the current available ones. One was a tragedy, the other a comedy, and the last option was historical. None of the plots appealed to the model much, and they'd have to be sitting next to each other for over an hour though, too much like a date. The last thing she needed was someone misunderstanding and catching them on camera. Yata would probably be a nervous wreck during that time period too.
"Let's go ice-skating then," She glanced over at him. Misaki's face was still tinged a slight red. Chuckling inwardly, she grabbed his arm and pulled him over to the shoe rental desk. "One size six, and um what size are you, Yata-kun?"

kawashima-ami-chan:
Before she passed away, his mother taught him that etiquette was the way to go when going somewhere with a lady. Being polite, no cussing, no scaring them off…Misaki was well aware of all of those, and he tried his best to follow all the rules. And he remembered one thing.
Always be 15 minutes early for any outing.
He hadn’t brought his skateboard for once and was feeling sort of naked without it, but he wore his best clothes…which weren’t even that great. A button down green shirt and jeans…and his usual sneakers. And for once he went without his beanie; which made him feel even more exposed. The skater shifted awkwardly in place in front of the building he was supposed to meet Ami at, already blushing a little.
How the hell had he gotten himself into this?
Looking up suddenly, he eyes spotter her and he took a deep breath. Alright…he could do this. He could do this.
Maybe.
"H-hello!" He waved, then ran his fingers through his hair in embarrassment.
Hearing a greeting, Ami turned in the direction of the voice. "Yata-kun!" She waved, running towards him. "You actually came." She gave a genuine smile.
The model turned around to see two pedestrians whispering and pointing at her. Giving out a nervous laugh, she quickly pushed Misaki towards the community center entrance. "Ah, let's go inside."
A cool blast of air greeted them as they stepped inside the doors of the building. Around them were already other group, old and young going to the various facilities. "What do you want to do?"

kawashima-ami-chan:
That night, he was walking home from his long shift he had worked at Bentley’s. He almost always worked long shifts…it wasn’t like he had anything else to do anyways. He needed the money and he wanted to stay away from his run down home as much as possible…the abandoned shack he had claimed for his own in one of the ghettos of the city. It wasn’t much, but at least he wasn’t living with his father anymore. So despite it’s shittyness, he took it.
His phone beeped and he wondered who it could be; no one ever textured him, and surely it wasn’t the girl, she had probably just been messing with him. That’s what he had came up with after a while…this couldn’t be real. He had no friends so he didn’t know why someone was interested all of a sudden.
But when he got the message he knew it was her and was shocked, despite her telling him she’d text him. There was no way out of it.
[Time:]10:03[Message:] Sure, I’ll be there.~Yata
Misaki slipped his phone back in his pocket, heart pounding from anxiety.
The lighted up screen told her that it was only 4:30 PM. Perfect....Ami thought as she stepped out of the car, waving to her driver and walking back into her house. They had filmed outside of Rosedale today, more towards the natural forests and scenery, but they had finished early, which suited the bluenette just fine.
Kicking off the tall wedges once she was inside the house, the model went upstairs and begin removing her makeup and accessories. She slipped on a yellow shirt and some jeans and went downstairs for a quick snack. When the clock hit five ten, Ami grabbed a pair of sun glasses and proceeded towards the meeting place at a leisurely stroll. I bet that Misaki is going to be all flustered up and nervous again. She smirked, checking her pockets for her phone and wallet. What should we even do at the community center though?
After arriving, the bluenette looked around, trying to see if he was already there.

kawashima-ami-chan:
That last comment made his face go even brighter than before. For one, she called him be his first name; which he was too scared to correct her on but he still hated. Two, he was horrified she noticed his nervousness and fidgeting, it was embarrassing enough that he knew it was there. And lastly he didn’t know how to stop; it was his nature. Yata Misaki as just afraid of women and there was practically nothing anybody could do to change that.
The skater rushed to his next table and served them, and then the next and the next. Soon enough he was done with the whole day…though he couldn’t get the girl out of his mind.
Who would want to talk to him that much? Especially that pretty?
He went home to repeat the day tomorrow…the anxiety of the next day’s events never leaving him.
The moon was just a small strip of silver tonight, against the dark sky. Sighing, Ami drew the curtains and flopped down onto her bed. Taking out her phone, she flipped it open and stared at the number that she had just gotten today. What had even compelled her to suggesting hanging out with him? In her old school, she had mostly stayed to herself, though to outsiders she seemed like a popular girl. Most of her so called "friends" had only hung out with her because she was a famous model.
Flipping on her side, her thumbs quickly tapped out a message.
[Time:] 9:57 [Message:]- Let's meet up in front of the Community Center tomorrow @5:30? ~Ami
The model's thumb's hovered over the button for a few seconds, before hitting the send button and shutting her phone.

It was a rare day when he was the only library assistant available - not that Riku minded very much. With the laid-back pace of the job, handling things on his own wasn’t stressful. Besides, the head librarian was there, so it wasn’t as though he was completely on his own.
He was attaching tags on the new acquisitions, so they could be borrowed in a few days’ time, and making notes on which ones were already in the electronic catalog and which ones weren’t - one of the new tasks he’d taken over from a library assistant who was on leave due to her graduate studies. When he next glanced up at the returns desk, he noticed the cart for returned books was close to getting full. He replaced it with an empty cart, wheeling it over to the desk he was using to properly sort the books, earning a small grin from the librarian.
It was getting to be routine, but one the silver-haired teen didn’t mind at all - in fact, it was safe to say he liked it.
The silver-haired teen set off to return the books to the proper shelves once he’d sorted them, starting from the back of the library. He got to one of several nooks that were well-hidden, spotted a blue-haired teen nodding off over her book. A student? Riku wasn’t sure; perhaps a recent transfer.
He took a few books from the cart, careful to muffle the thumps of the bound tomes being slid into place. A step back to search for the proper shelf where the last volume in hand belonged, and his leg bumped the cart; he made to grab at it, but this did little to change the outcome - it still collided with the table. The resulting sound wasn’t particularly loud, but the impact, while relatively low…well, that was another story.
Ami woke up with a jump as a few books thumped onto the ground, next to the area where she had dozed off. A quick look around showed that a book cart had collided with the table, causing the books on the side of it to fall off.
Stretching out her back, the bluenette decided to get up. The nap had been rather refreshing to her, and she should probably go get that library card right about now.

kawashima-ami-chan:
"Ami. That’s a…p-pretty name…" He smiled weakly; he wasn’t used to giving compliments, especially not to girls. He was so scared of her thinking he was a jerk or scum or something that everyone else thought when they first saw him, making him twice as nervous as when it was just some normal girl.
Seriously, why was she this pretty?!
"W-we can…um…go wherever." Misaki ended with, having starting the thought more confident but then realizing he didn’t know where to go with it. Because honestly, he didn’t know what this girl would be into. And it was her being escorted around the city…she should get to chose the activities she wanted to do.
"You pick and…text me, alright? I gotta go…" HE jerked his thumb at his other customers that he had to serve. “Nice to m-meet ya."
"Thanks," She waved off the comment. Recently her guard had been dropping lower and lower. With no one knowing about her model status, she hadn't found it necessary to put on the 'innocent girl' act that she did with almost everybody. Her friends at her last school had changed it so that she could express herself (almost) normally, but to strangers and fans, she'd still act the same.
"Put your number here," Ami handed her his phone, with a contacts screen on the page. After he returned it, she stood and began walking out. "I'll text you later today,"
"And really, Misaki," She turned around before she reached the door. "Stop acting so fidgety and nervous." With that, she left, the bell tinkling above her.

Ami took off her sunglasses as the whoosh of air conditioning greeted her at the sliding doors. Glancing at the shelves after shelves of books, she began walking around, looking at the different sections.
"I should probably get a library card," She murmured, flipping through the pages of a random book. When she arrived at the next row, a book caught her eyes. "Hey this was only released a while back. They already have it?"
Taking the book, the bluenette wandered around till she found a corner towards the back of the library. It was hidden relatively well behind two bookcases. Ami covered a yawn before sitting down, her back against the wall as she began reading. She had hardly gotten past the first ten pages though, when she felt her eyes drooping.
Between her different photo shoots and driving to visit her parents at the places for their movie shoots, the model had gotten barely any sleep for the past week. The calm atmosphere of the library was very alluring, and soon she had drifted off.

kawashima-ami-chan:
"U-um…w-whenever..whenever after 5…work, ya know?" The ginger chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck. She seemed nice but…she was so fucking pretty. Beautiful. One of the most gorgeous girls he’d ever seen. So why would she want to hang out with him? He was just a measly waiter…poor, couldn’t talk to girls, lived in a rough part of town, the list could go on…
Not that he was a bad person. He wasn’t. He just had had an unfortunate life.
"Ah…’M Yata…Yata Misaki…but j-just call me Yata!" Misaki never went by his first name…what man would? It was a fucking girls name, after all! How embarrassing.
"Y-you?"
"After 5 works for me too," She nodded, after taking a look at her phone. It somehow seemed weird, but no one in this town seemed to know who she was. Before, wherever she went, there'd always be fans chasing after her, asking for the model's autograph. Here, nothing had happened for two weeks. On the other hand though, most of her shootings were in Rosedale, where all the citizens just seemed to mind their own business. "Where do you want to meet up?"
"Misaki?" Ami's eyebrows raised slightly at his embarrassment. "All right, Yata-," She put an emphasis on the name, "kun."
"Ami. Kawashima Ami."

kawashima-ami-chan:
Face turning even redder than it already was, he began to splutter awkwardly. Hang out with her?! Holy jesus…how the hell could he ever do that? Wait…was she asking him on a date?! Fuck, he didn’t know..he didn’t know anything about women. How could he agree?
But her hopeful face…how could he say no? Misaki was no jerk, just awkward and embarrassed; and he was confused to why this beautiful girl was picking him of all people to ask to hang out with. He was just her waiter…her waiter who clearly could not talk to women.
"O-okay.." He found himself saying before he could stop to think it through more. He almost face palmed himself…now he was in it for good. “U-um…I’ll go with ya…er…I don’t have anyone to invite…"
The downside of having no friends.
Ami giggled softly. Oh this was going to be fun. Who knows, in the end he might actually turn out to be someone she hanged out with more in this town. He didn't seem like a bad person either, just socially awkward?
"That's great. I have things to do in the morning, so what time would you want to meet up?"
"Ah wait," The model turned to face the boy, "What's your name?"
Facing The New || Open
kawashima-ami-chan:
He had crossed his fingers behind his back and was hoping that she’d say no, she was all good, but of course the fates were not on his side today. When were they ever?
Misaki cleared his throat, trying to think as fast as he could so he could just tell her and then scurry out of there quickly. But she was looking at him and she was so pretty and fuck girls freaked him out so much…
"W-well…um..there’s Galaxy Cinema’s…ya can watch movies there…and er..the mall? Masonville? For shopping and that stuff..There’s a karaoke place nearby…and a nightclub if you’re over 19…and there’s always stuff to do at the community center."
There, he said it, he was done.
Well, she had to dismiss him first.
Over 19........Ami shrugged slightly. Nope, she'd have to wait to go to those. She began weighing the decision she had in her mind before deciding just to go along with it. She needed to loosen up sometimes herself.
"Do you want to hang out somewhere tomorrow afternoon then?" She questioned looking up expectantly at the boy. "I haven't met anybody close to my age yet, and it's boring going places by myself. Of course, you can invite some of your other friends if you want," The model quickly added, laughing inwardly at the boy's discomfort.
