ΰͺββ΄β‘ Questions for other yumes with a smoker f/o !
I was wondering, how do y'all feel about your f/o smoking ?
I've been thinking about it lately.
Honestly, for me, it's hard to say. I don't really like the smell, and I'm asthmatic, so it's probably better for me not to date someone who smokes.
I always told myself I would never date a smoker, but then I fell in love with my f/o without even thinking about it. I love his personality, his little quirks, his struggles...
I love everything about him (though I do wish he'd take better care of himself but that's what I'm here for β‘) and of course, that includes his flaws too.
To be honest, I'm kind of "lucky" because he mainly smokes as a way to cope with stress, and he's switched (or is trying to switch) to vaping. It's not perfect, of course, but at least the smell doesn't bother me haha
At the end of the day, I love him, so I don't really mind, I guess (well except for the impact it has on his health (but that's only one of the many bad habits he has, and I have my own, so who am I to judge ?))
What about y'all ? How do you feel about having a smoker f/o ?
a place where we take care of each other through sickness
I'm sick so here's a few headcanons/a small imagine of Mikoto with a sick partner because I was wondering how he'd act ! Definitely needed some comfort while sick and thinking a loooot about Mikoto β it was just some headcanons first before I wrote more and tried to make it better (english isn't my first language) sooo yeah !
ΰͺββ΄β‘ Mikoto when his partner is sick
You're sick. Sick enough that you can't go to work today.
Sadly, it's a workday for Mikoto.
He can't take a day off, or his superiors would scold him. His work life is already hard enough as it is.
When his alarm goes off, he wakes up to get ready, just like usual. But before he's even fully awake, he notices two unusual things.
The cold, empty place beside him.
And the light in the living room.
His heart starting to pound in his chest, he gets out of bed and slowly walks toward the living room. Worry already creeps in, as he's unsure of what he's about to see.
A cough breaks the silence.
And there you are. Curled up under a few blankets, coughing until your body is completely exhausted, while he's standing at the door.
A few words are exchanged.
You're even too sick to work.
Mikoto immediately hates that thought. Even if he really wants to, he can't stay home to take care of you. The thought of leaving his sick partner alone makes his heart ache.
But you tell him it's fine. You reassure him. You just got up to take some medicine, and you're now going back to bed.
But as you try to stand up from the chair, Mikoto doesn't miss the way you waver. Not hesitating for one second, he runs to you.
One arm wraps firmly around your waist, the other finding its way to your hand, as he's helping you walk. He carefully brings you back to bed, and he makes sure you're tucked in properly.
Then, he quickly checks the time : he doesn't have much left before he has to leave.
Still, he uses that time for you. He presses his hand gently against your forehead, checking your temperature. Too warm. You even shiver under the coldness of his hand. He frowns, his worry only intensifying.
In those few minutes he has left, he takes care of everything he can.
Medicine on the bedside table ? Check.
A glass of water within reach ? Check.
A box of tissues close to you ? Check.
Everything you might need.
You're far too sick and exhausted to really notice. All you want is to sleep. You keep drifting in and out of sleep, while he moves as quietly as possible around the room.
Eventually, he has to go.
With a quiet, resigned sigh, he presses a last, gentle kiss to your forehead. You're already asleep. It's such a soft sight, it makes him smile.
He loves you so much.
What a shame he has to leave.
The day passes slowly for you. You're mostly sleeping, waking up to take some medicine or water, but unable to eat.
At work, Mikoto is so worried about you. He can't stop thinking about you. Are you okay ? Do you need help ? How's your fever ? What if it gets worse ?
All he can do is wait it out.
At night, Mikoto comes back very late, completely exhausted from work, just like everytime. But he doesn't waste any second to get home.
You need him, after all.
When he gets home, the first thing he does is check on you. He verifies the temperature, if you took the medicine. And if you're awake, he talks with you for a bit. Hearing your voice, even hoarse with sickness, warms his heart.
Then, he cleans up for you. He throws away all the tissues, tidies the room a bit. If you want to, he helps you freshen up, change your pajamas. Of course, he's tired, but he wants to take care of the person he loves the most.
If you're awake and inform him you haven't eaten, he makes something quick, like a light soup or a small broth, while he just eats some instant ramen. Habits don't change overnight, after all...
Finally, he allows himself to rest. He lies down beside you, like every night. You're still coughing, even in your sleep, but he doesn't move away. His hand loosely holds yours during the whole night.
Almost as if being far from you would be inimaginable for him. β‘
