i do think the self alienation mikoto puts themselves thru to function in society directly correlates with all of these displays of deep love and tension they experience between each other but idrk how to word it. in continually burying their actual wants and needs the idea of knowing oneself becomes more and more alluring? knowing oneself becomes such a sacred rarity that it becomes deeply revered, simply indulging in feelings of self care becomes masturbatory? self love is a kind of forbidden love in a corporate world. and they’re so disconnected from what love really is that their displays of affection result in violence and a lot of “self” inflicted pain.

at this point im not sure that muu was "bullied" in the way we might think? i think she just feels like shes being attacked when ppl disapprove of her actions.. to her, its bullying if someone tells her shes wrong, or rather, doesn't tell her shes right. i think in her first mv shes sort of put herself in the shoes of her victim, because to her, /shes/ the pitiable one. its possible that purple haired girl mightve convinced muu's friends that muu was being unfair, and they turned against her, but i'm not entirely sure they took it as far as muu thinks/has shown us they did :?

ok hiiii i listened to her VD and ive polished my thought here a little bit. i've assumed that the "bullying" at play was all the same, but theres a difference between the methods muu and her bullies used. i think to her, the social games she played with people was just a matter of putting them in their place, the natural order of things. what she did wasn't bullying, her victims were simply getting what was coming to them, and kept muu at the top of the foodchain. but the rejection muu faced was bullying. why wouldn't it be? it hurt her, and it was meant to hurt her. uhhh like. the difference between emotional vs instrumental aggression (aggression to inflict harm vs aggression as a means to another end) is a big thing in muus brain as far as how she justifies herself and i think its important to take into account when looking at her case. bullying isnt just bullying, and what do the different methods and motivations mean for our verdict.

i dont really vibe with the "muu got bullied bc she did a murder first" theory because it kinda glosses over the big question of. how would she even get away with it. you could argue her parents are rich so they could handle it but that seems like a stretch given the circumstances and what we know so far

"甘ったるい" means sentimental, sweet (excessively so), and can refer to pampering. i think our innocent verdict has moved him from drowning in sadness (water) in the beginning of the video to drowning in pampering (honey). in the middle of the video when hes covered in blood, he seems to be rising out of the honey and gasping for breath, then hes found by the flashlight - being held accountable for his murder. but at the end of the video the honey rises again, hes been forgiven. and hes back to drowning.
