i think it’s insanely hilarious how shitty things just seem to creep up on you all at once, and the second you think you have a moment to breathe and that thing might actually start to be okay you’re proven so incredibly wrong that your body shakes and you can barely breathe. how people who are supposed to love you and support you put you in such a terrible situation that you can’t help but make sure all your doors and windows are locked when no one is home, that your afraid to go outside and smoke a cigarette at night if you’re alone. that family would use your struggle as a way to draw attention to themselves, and that there is just so much pain in each and every person you can’t help but feel for them even when they’ve screwed you so many times. and that as soon as you work up the courage to let someone in -- after they’ve called you out on all your bullshit, after they’ve exposed you for who you really are and still wanted to stick around afterwards they’re ripped from you because of the stupid decision they decided to make and you’re left with nothing but questions you don’t want the answer to. that the songs and stories you start to relate to are those others listen to only when they’re angry, but they become your only way of expressing yourself and they consume you because this is your life now. and what hurts the most is you wake up in the morning and you don’t even know who you are anymore, because the eyes of the person staring back at you are just so tired and sad they almost seem like they don’t exist at all.
