You are not allow to complain about lack of content if you don't reblog content.
You're part of the problem. I don't care if it doesn't fit your aesthetic or you think that a like is "just as good". Reblogs are way more important than likes.
A like is like a quick almost mindless thing you do as a "neat" before you keep scrolling. At least that's what it feels like they are.
A reblog is telling that creator: Hey, I really like your stuff and want you to make more. I'll help by spreading your content around so more people can see it.
We all appreciate likes but they don't do any good if no one is sharing the content.
Every time I see such a difference in likes and reblogs it discourages me from writing more and I'm sure others feel the same.

Three weeks have gone by with you 'dating,' Ran Haitani, and things have gotten a little easier for you. The sun shining, though it hardly happens considering it's been quite a rainy October so far, seems to be a little brighter than it had been the last two months, and the world seems to have a bit more colour in it. As great as everything is starting to seem, you still couldn't bite back the thoughts gnawing at the front parts of your mind.
Is he just doing this out of pity? Was the very first thing you had thought when you woke up the morning after you let Ran inside your little world. Seeing his peacefully sleeping face in the early morning sunrise that had casted a beautiful golden glow to illuminate his porcelain skin had almost seemed to surreal to you.
It's not secret that he's a player, and one of the most sought out bachelors in all of Tokyo, and probably most of Japan at this point. He was known for his arrogant attitude and sexual attraction that brought a plethora of women to his bed, and you wondered if maybe that had been his goal.
Does he know that I'm quick to attach to people? You wondered the night you two had spent cuddled up in your bed, watching some sappy romance movie that he had picked out for the two of you to watch. It was nice and comforting and it just so happened to be the night you two had shared your first kiss.
It had been sweet, and tender, bringing tears to your eyes that you fought so desperately not to let spill over the edge. You had thought you looked away from him just in time for him to think it was just your embarrassment and nervousness from your close proximity, but he saw your glossy eyes.
Just as he saw everything you did.
From every longing stare of yours, the ones that would end the moment he even began to turn his head towards you, he saw. He saw and felt the way your body would tense up at his touch, knowing full well that you were only reacting like that because of your past. He saw the way you would disassociate when you were caught up in your own mind, and would often be more than willing to gently pull you out of that state, afraid you would go back to being the way you had been for the last two months.
And finally, he saw the way you looked at not only his brother, but Sanzu as well. He knew you had a hard time with maintaining eye contact, but it seemed especially hard for you to even look at their faces. Your body was tense whenever they entered the room and at first, he had thought you were scared of them. He knew you three hadn't been on the best terms before your trip to Okinawa, and he thought maybe that had something to do with it.
It wasn't until he had caught you basically eye fucking his brother, who had come down the stairs one morning without a shirt on, that it finally click in his head that maybe you had some sort of attraction to the other two men, and he sure as hell didn't mind.
In fact, it was an unspoken agreement between the three males that they would be whatever you wanted and needed them to be. Whether it be friends, lovers, or even just a sexual relationship, all three men were ready and waiting for your signal - though you'd never know.
You on the other hand, were still nervous and unsure about everything around you, including yourself. Ran could tell you were insecure, and it broke his heart every time you would frown slightly when you caught sight of your own reflection, before looking away quickly. He could see the way you would tremble when you would fight back tears as you thought about yourself and the life you've lived, and as much as he felt good about helping you break out of his shell, he knew you needed more.
But how does your new boyfriend go about trying to convince you, to let three other men into your relationship?
"Princess, you in here?" Ran's voice echoed from the stairway that led down into your basement where you were currently punching the living shit out of the heavy bag that was chained to the beams in the ceiling. You couldn't hear him over the sound of the music blaring through your headphones, so when he rounded the corner and walked through the doorway, he simply leaned against the frame and watched you with a lazy smirk on his face.
The way your body moved so quickly, the way the sweat was pouring off your body, and even the way your chest heaved with each deep breath you took, Ran found you so captivating. Without realizing it, the man had began to walk towards you and you didn't notice his presence until his arms wrapped around your waist, making you scream.
"Fuck!" You shouted, making the male laugh at your brash comment. "You scared me." Taking your airpods out, you shoved them into the case before pocketing them. Ran had expected you to look back up at him, but you didn't and it made something flicker in his mind. He knew you came down here to think, and he wanted to know just what it was about.
"Sorry Princess, didn't mean to. Just wanted to see what my pretty girl was doing." He made sure to slip in that little compliment, wanting to see your cheeks redden just for him.
So when your cheeks didn't redden, and when a small frown appeared on your lips for a split second before you covered it with another smile that didn't reach your pretty eyes, Ran was slightly distraught.
"What's on your mind?" He asked, his one hand coming up from your waist to cup your cheek and forcing you to look at him.
"I just... I don't know. A lot, I guess." Your replay wasn't quite what he was looking for, he knew you were hiding something, he could tell by the way you were nervously chewing the inside of your cheeks.
"Lucky for you baby girl, I've got tons of time." He said with a wink, making a soft, barely there smile appear on your lips.
"It's stupid, really." You tried one last time to hopefully deter him from pestering you some more, but you knew it wouldn't work.
Ran Haitani is one persistent man.
"Nothing is stupid when it comes to you. Come on, Princess. Tell me." He pressured, your sad sigh following.
"I guess I- I'm just scared." You admitted, making his browns knit slightly in confusion.
"Of what? I won't hurt you." He replied, thumb stroking your cheek gently as if to further prove his point.
"It's not that I'm scared of you... I'm just scared you're n-not um... that your just doing this with me out of pity." You said, glossy eyes coming up from their gaze on the floor to briefly look in his lavender opals, before looking back down once again when you saw his soft expression.
"Y/n, I'm with you because I like you. A lot, actually." He replied, making you huff out a small puff of air in amusement.
"I-I hope so b-but I know that I'm not really your type andâ"
"Who says you're not my type?" He asked, cutting you off and making you frown.
"I just h-have seen s-some of the girls you've hooked up with and I- I'm not like them." You said, a tear sliding down your cheek. "Ran, I'm ugly. I-I'm full of baggage and I have a lot of mental health issues.. you deserve better."
Before you could say anything else, Ran's hand left your cheek. You wanted to curl up into a ball and cry out of embarrassment as you felt you had made him angry, disgusted with you even, so when his hands were on your hips and spinning you around to face the set of full length mirrors on the wall behind you, you gasped in shock.
"Look at yourself, y/n. Do you really think you're ugly?" He asked in disbelief, not wanting to believe that someone as beautiful as you was seriously doubting yourself.
"Y-yes." You whispered honestly, your gaze quickly leaving the mirror to look at the floor.
"Ah-ah, Princess. Look." He said, his voice had grown a little husky and his demanding tone was followed up with one hand coming back up to grasp your chin in his fingers, gently forcing you to look at yourself in the mirror.
"P-please Ran, don't. I h-hate myself!" You cried out, a sob falling out of your lips afterwards, breaking the poor man's heart behind you.
"Love, you're the most beautiful fucking person on this planet." Ran's voice was a hearty whisper that was directly in your ear, his hot breath fanning over the shell of it and cascading down your neck.
"Do you know how hard it is for me to control myself around you? I'm fucking my fist every night to the mere thought of you. I haven't been with another woman since the night you saved Rindou's night - almost three, four months now. You're captivating, I'm enamoured by your beauty." He rasped, his hand coming own from your chin to trail his long, lithe fingers down the column of your neck, making you shiver.
He hasn't been with anybody in that long? You thought.
"I'm gonna show you just how fucking beautiful you are, okay princess? Please, let me show you the way that I see you." He all but whined the last part, making your thighs squeeze together subconsciously and before you knew it, you were nodding.
"Use your words." He ordered, his head bending down to pace his mouth at your neck, nipping at the juncture between your collarbone and making you suck in a breath.
Do I really want this? You thought, you find focusing on the way his lips nipped and sucked at your skin, each pull and lick had your mind whirling.
"Y-yes." You stuttered out, making Rans lips smile against your skin.
"Such a good girl. Do you always listen this good?" He cooed, the praise going straight to your core and making you shiver slightly. "Or is it only for me?"
"O-only for you - oh god." You rasped out when Ran's hands travelled down your neck, to wrap his fingers around the base of it gently while his teeth nipped at your ear.
To him, you were a mystery to be solved when it came to anything sexual. He wanted to bet his entire salary that you hadn't been fucked properly in your entire lifetime considering the way your husband had treated you, and he decided that he was going to take his sweet time to map out each and every spot that has you mewling and careening into his touch.
His one hand left your waist to trail upwards, fingers lazy dragging the fabric of your tank top upwards with them, before he teasing lifted his fingers an inc, making the shirt fall back down over your exposed skin, making you whine so quietly.
"Cute, so, so cute." He mused, briefly looking up from the crook of your neck that he was gently marking up to see your big, doe like eyes fixated on his own. Your lips were parted slightly, and your body was trembling in his hold, further spurring him on.
"Gonna let me touch your pretty tits?" He asked, and you nodded quickly whilst swallowing nervously, he smirked. "What did I tell you 'bout using your words, Princess?"
"Y-yes Ran! P-please!" You begged softly, cheeks aflame with embarrassment at just how easy you were giving into him.
"Fuck." He groaned when his name left your lips, and that was all it took for him to make quick work of your shirt, fingernails gently tracing over your skin before he fully discarded it, tossing onto the ground behind him.
"You're. So. Fucking. Beautiful." He said, each word accentuated with a kiss trailing down your neck as his fingers lightly traced over the scar you had stared at. He could see a sad look starting to form on your face when you saw it, and he had to make sure that you knew that it didn't make you any less perfect than you already were.
Before you could say anything, his hands came up to cup your breasts in his hands. He wanted to make a comment about your lack of bra, but he knew that you were already way beyond flustered so he decided to let it go. Just as his fingers tweaked your nipples in sync, you let out an airy moan, making his hard cock twitch in his sweatpants.
"You're not looking, y/n." He teased, making your eyes immediately shoot back up to meet your reflection in the mirror, your eyes widened as you didn't even recognize the person staring back at you.
"Atta girl, so obedient for me. Hmm... I should give you a reward." Ran cooed, making your eyes widen slightly at his words, and you found yourself nodding slightly in agreement.
Oh god this is so hot... I don't deserve this but - I don't want him to stop!
"On your knees." He ordered, and you shivered slightly, but silently obeyed. Your legs almost buckled underneath of you as your muscles were still on fire from your work out, but you managed to drop onto the mats gently, your back still facing the male behind you.
You could see him dropping down onto his knees, though it was clear he still towered above you as your body looked so small compared to his. Eyes trained on the mirror to watch his every movement as the excitement was bubbling up within you, and when his hand came up and gently cupped your sex through your shorts, another feeling was beginning to rise within you.
The last person to touch you like this, was were the men that raped you, before leaving you to perish in the fire. You knew that Ran wasn't them, so why were you beginning to panic? You wanted what Ran was trying to give you, so why were your eyes welling up with tears again?
"Hey, get out of your head, Princess. You're safe here, you're safe with me." Ran said, stopping his messaging movements and making you snap back to reality.
"M'sorry." You whispered, trying your hardest not to cry. You were worried he was going to just up and leave, annoyed by your actions, so when you felt his back press against yours as he leaned over you, you were shocked.
"Don't be sorry, we can stop this at any time. I just wanna make you feel good, regardless of what it entails." He said, placing a reassuring kiss on your cheek.
Ran wasn't going to push you into doing something that you didn't want to do, but he also wasn't going to let you sit here and be consumed by your thoughts. His hand never left your sex, but his kind words and gentle kisses on your cheek were enough to coax you into wanting him to continue.
"N-no, p-please keep going." You whispered, making Ran smile softly. He turned your head to the side with the hand that wasn't cupping you, and placed a tender kiss on your lips.
"Anything for you, Princess. Now come on, sit up." He ordered, sitting back on the mat and helping you up so that you were now sitting with your back pressed against his chest. "M'gonna take these off, Kay?"
"O-okay." You agreed, finding his need to ask for your consent endearing.
See? He's nice, he's not THEM. He never will be, you told yourself.
Ran was quick to lift your hips up and take your back end off the floor, all while grabbing the hem of your shorts and your panties and tugging them down your legs, before adding them to the pile beside your shirt on the floor. In the mirror, you could see his amethyst gaze fixated on your sopping wet cunt and you quickly tried to snap your legs shut.
"I don't think so, baby. Let me see this pretty pussy." Ran breathed in your ear, his fingers digging into the skin on your thighs before easily prying your legs apart, leaving your bare cunt on full display in the mirror and causing a guttural groan to leave the man's throat.
"S-so embarrassing." You muttered, looking away from the mirror yet again, making Ran scoff. He wondered just how many times he was going to have to force your face back to the mirror to look at yourself.
"It won't be as embarrassing as it can be if you don't look at yourself." He warned, making your eyes snap back to the mirror almost instantly, and he wanted to chuckle at your obedience yet again. He knew you weren't purposely trying to defy him, though it was weird for him to go against his entire being and not fuck you senseless as a punishment.
But, he knew he had to be gentle and rather attentive with you. If you were anybody else, he wouldn't have even gave half a shit, but it just goes to show that he wasn't lying to you when he said that he was enamoured by you.
"Ohhh..." you breathed out quietly once your felt his index finger slide press against your clit, before sliding down the length of your cunt and teasing your slick covered entrance. Ran wasn't even sure if he needed to prep you for him considering how your juices were trailing down the curve of your supple ass cheeks and onto the mats below, but he was almost positive that he wanted to make you cum on his fingers before anything.
When his finger travelled back up to circle your clit, you let out a small moan that made his cock twitch yet again. He could feel his pre cum oozing out of his slit, making it slightly uncomfortable, but he was too distracted by the way your back arched into him as he played with your cute little clit, your head falling backwards on his shoulder.
"Fuck, you're soaked." He commented, making you whine lowly. He could see you looking down the bridge of your nose to look in the mirror and he was happy that your genuine curiosity to watch his movements was outweighing your embarrassment.
His fingers travelled downwards again, making you jerk your hips upwards as if to show how badly you wanted him in your pussy. Once he collected enough of your slick, you watched with wide eyes as he brought his digit up to his mouth, before popping in between his lips and sucking your nectar off his finger, a low groan reversing in his chest at you sweet taste.
Did he just-? Fuck that was so hot.
"You taste so good baby. Cant decide if I want you to cum on my tongue or my cock next." His low voice and lewd words made you whimper, and before you could register what was happening, he was pushing his index finger into your core slowly, savouring the way you clenched around him.
"Holy shit, so tight." He commented, as you gasped out loud at the sudden intrusion of his finger within your warm, gummy walls. You felt odd as your body wasn't used to the foreign feeling, and your hand shot out to wrap around his wrist.
Ran was in awe at how your pussy fluttered and contracted around him, how your nails dug into the flesh on his wrist. You weren't trying to stop him, you just needed something to hold on to to keep you grounded and in the moment.
He started a languid pace, pulling his finger almost all the way out just to slide it all the way back in slowly, teasingly almost. It was overwhelming for you, even more so when he added a second finger and your cunt felt the delicious, familiar burn that you hadn't even thought about in over three years.
"You're squeezing me so tight Princess, fuckk. Come on baby, I know your close. Cum for me." Ran breathed into your ear, teeth reaching out to nip your lobe, sending you over the edge.
Your orgasm hit you like a wave crashing over you, pulling you under and consuming you whole. Your back arched, your eyes rolled into the back of toe your head. You wanted to look away from the mirror, but you couldnât. You didnât once you saw the way Ranâs jaw hung slightly slack, his lust blown pupils boring into the mirror as he watched you come undone on his fingers.
âSo fucking perfect.â He muttered, leaning down and kissing your cheek as you chest heaved up and down as you relished in the afterglow of your orgasm.
âDo you see it now? Look at how fucking beautiful you are, love.â He asked, and even if you had the energy to shake your head no, there was no denying the way that the stranger looking back at you in the mirror was almost too much to bear with her flushed face and naked body so proudly on display as the attractive man behind her caressed her sides so gently. Wide eyes, soft smile and the small glow upon your skin made you slightly aware of just how Ran saw you.
âR-ranâŚâ you asked after a few minutes of silence as the two of you basked together in your warmth.
âHm?â He hummed, making you even more nervous for the question you were about to ask.
âC-can i um⌠can I make you feel good?â You asked quietly, and as much as Ran wanted to hear you asking to please him at a much higher octave, he wasnât going to tease you or wind you up in such a soft moment like this.
âYour pleasure has made me feel so good, love.â He said, reaching up to tuck a strand of stray hair behind your ear, making you blush.
âB-but you didnât um⌠yâknow..â you mumbled, hoping he would catch on.
What you didnât know was that he was fully aware of what you were insinuating, but he knew he couldnât act on his own selfish impulses at the moment. He, his brother and Sanzu agreed that they would all take their turns with you respectively, but to make things fair, not one of them could fuck you alone before they all had the chance to see you coming undone on their cocks altogether.
Clearly foreplay was very much on the table at this point in time.
As if on cue, your stomach rumbled lowly, making you giggle nervously, and Ran chuckled, a little grateful for the distraction. Seeing your big pleading eyes staring at him in the mirror while youâre basically asking for him to fuck you was nearly too impossible to resist.
âHere,â Ran said, reaching over and grabbing your sweatpants an tank top, before gently helping you put them back over your naked body. âLetâs go upstairs and Iâll get Rindou to cook us something nice, okay?â
Forgetting all about the question you had just asked him, you smiled and gave him an exciting nod, allowing him to take your hand and guide you up the stairs and past the living room where the two men were barely holding it together after hearing your moaning and whines filtering up from the basement
They knew they had to make a move soon, but it was just a matter of when, and how. Neither of the two men had ever had to chase after anybody before as they had women, and men, falling at their feet and begging for just ten minutes of their time, but with you, itâs different.
With you, it would always be different.

The soft pitter patter of rain drops tapped against the windows of the solarium, the gentle sounds creating a soft lullaby that would have been sleep inducing had you not been silently crying yet again.
It's been two months since your trip to Okinawa ended horribly thanks to your husband, or ex now rather, and you haven't been out of your house since. You haven't been okay since then either, as if the fetal position you were currently sitting in wasn't proof of that enough.
You had tried and failed miserably not once, but four times at trying to take your own life since being back in your home - the home you had once loved to be in because it connected you to Ren, now felt like your own personal prison that you weren't able to escape.
Today was just like any other day. You were sitting on the bench just beneath one of the large windows. You knees had been pushed up to your chest and your arms were wrapped around them as you held yourself tight, afraid that if you let go that you would take up too much space to deem necessary although there was plenty around you.
But still, you felt worthless and insignificant. You felt that if you so much as breathed too much that you would be taking up more than what was deemed acceptable for a lowlife piece of trash like yourself. The horrible thoughts and self insults came and went almost constantly and they consumed your mind making it harder and harder to justify why you were still here.
You couldn't help but think of all the 'I love you's,' and intimate moments that you and Ren had shared over the years. Now knowing that each gentle touch, each lingering stare and proclamation of love was fake, you didn't seem to know left from right. Everything was confusing, everything was painful.
"Y/n." Sanzu called out to you from his spot in the doorway of the solarium. He had been here for the last two hours after switching off with Rindou, who you knew was growing frustrating by your one word answers. He had been trying to converse with you, but you just didn't have it in you to keep up with him.
After all, what's someone like him doing talking to scum like you?
"Y/n, you need to eat, honey." Sanzu spoke again, striding towards you silently. He hated admitting it, but seeing you so empty and lifeless had made something shift within him. He should be used to it considering how Mikey was, but not seeing you bite back at him for calling you ridiculous pet names unsettled him.
He had tried everything to get a reaction out of you, hell he even tried scaring you into speaking to him, but it only resulted in you grabbing onto the end of his katana, slicing your palm open and pleading for him to kill you. Sanzu left in a frenzy after that, feeling guilt for the first time in a long time. He had never wanted to hurt you, as much as his mind tried to convince him otherwise and he took his frustrations out with multiple women, though the whole time he couldn't help but wonder how you would feel underneath him instead of a hooker.
"Sweetheart." Sanzu said, reaching down and brushing his fingers over the back of your exposed neck and revelling in the way you shivered from his touch, though you only hugged your knees closer to your chest as you began to cry once again.
Why is he touching me? I don't DESERVE a gentle touch like this. You thought to yourself, and even the voice inside your head was beginning to sound hollow.
Wrap them around my throat and choke the life out of me, please. I don't want to be here anymore, the silent plea had rang out loudly in your mind when you felt Sanzu's fingers trailing down the side of your neck, gentle scratching and leaving small red marks in their wake.
"Please, it's been three days and you haven't eaten anything Rindou made for you." It was odd for the pink haired male to ask anybody to do anything as he usually only knew how to command, but at this point he was growing desperate as he was beginning to watch you wilt away into nothing.
"M'not hungry." Your voice made his breath hitch in his throat. It was the first time in weeks you had spoken to him and your voice was almost beyond recognition because of how hoarse it was.
"Ran and Rindou are out in the kitchen, I can get them to make you something." He offered, just thankful that you had finally acknowledged his presence.
You didn't say anything to that, you only sighed softly and watched out the window as the rain picked up. The silent wish to stand out there and let the cold water wash over you in hopes you'd catch and a wicked cold and die, sighed heavy in your mind, but you knew that it wouldn't be an option.
Sanzu sighed in frustration before turning on his heels and all but stomping out of the room. When the echo of his heavy footfalls got further and further away, your eyes were quick to scan the room for anything you could use to hopefully take your own life.
Weapons had been stashed all around this house, courtesy of your trauma and the old fear of Wantanabe coming to finish you off over the years. You knew that the Haitani's had nearly flipped your house upside down looking for all of them, but surely they had missed at least one, right?
"Looking for this?" Ran's voice echoed through the room, making you jump as he had startled you, and you spun around to face him to see a switchblade being twirled around in his lithe fingers, making your heart fall into your stomach at being caught, and the moment your eyes met you quickly looked away.
"Were you really going to try taking your own life again?" He asked, and although his tone may have sounded teasing to someone who didn't know the tall man, you knew full well that he was pissed.
"Hm? Tell me, y/n." He ordered, taking another step towards you.
"N-no I wasn't g-"
"Fucking liar." He spat, and the sound of something clamouring loudly onto the ground behind him made you jump yet again, and you quickly looked up to see that he had whipped the knife behind him before taking another menacing stride towards you.
He's angry - he'll kill me, you hoped silently.
"You're not running, and you should be, Princess." He warned, his eyes were narrowed as he stared down at you, yet you couldn't be bothered to look at him.
Ran had been the first of the three to come to terms with the weird feelings gnawing at his mind every time you came into the same room as him. He didn't know why, or how, but somewhere along the line in between teasing you and working closely with you over the last couple months, he had developed a very small, crush on you. Of course, he still believes it's just because of the fact that the first night he had met you you had saved his brothers life, but it was much more at this point.
He was livid that you couldn't look at him anymore. He was even more livid at the fact that you had tried to take your life time and time again after the night you had finally crashed into his arms, weeping and holding onto him like a damn koala. He thought that maybe it would be the beginning of something beautiful between the both of you, but after you had all returned to Tokyo, it became apparent that it wouldn't work out the way he silently hoped it would.
Ran Haitani, the man who couldn't be bothered to stay with a woman more than one night, was hoping that you would let him in. The man who was infamously known for being a ruthless and merciless killer was here and willing to put up with your outburst when the mere thought of someone even back talking him would make him blood boil. The man who only had a soft spot for his baby brother, had somehow been able to allow that spot grow big enough for two.
For you.
His hands gripped your shoulders roughly, and he felt you tense beneath him. You wanted to look up at him, to beg him to just hold you close like he did that night in Okinawa, but you know that you didn't deserve it. In fact, you knew that you deserved nothing good in life, and you continued to look at the floor.
"Look at me." He ordered, his voice dangerously low. Instead of obeying, you merely shook your head slightly, and Ran took in a deep, frustrated breath.
"FUCKING. LOOK. AT. ME!" He yelled, making your head quickly snap up to look at him. You eyes were wide with fear - an emotion that Ran loved to see on everyone.
Everyone but you.
"When are you going to get it through your thick skull that I am NOT going to let you fucking die!?" He was still shouting, still holding onto you harshly, making you wince.
You eyes were fixated on his opals, his pupils were almost non-existent. You had never seen Ran snap, not even at the men he had killed so easily and without a second thought during the few mission Mikey had sent you on with the trio.
"Look at you! You're a fucking mess, y/n. Your hair is almost matted to your fucking head and I can see your clothes hanging off your body! You've lost so much weight because you won't eat! When was the last time you even drank anything!?" Ran continued to yell while shaking your shoulders, desperately trying to get it through your head that he really did just really care about your well being.
"Why are you letting some lowlife who clearly didn't give a shit about you, ruin your life like this!?" That question, that one fucking question wracked your entire being.
"BECAUSE HE'S ALL I FUCKING HAD!" You screamed back, making Ran's eyes widen the slightest bit. He hadn't expected such a reaction out of you as you were usually emotionless with him and the others over the course of the last few weeks.
"Ren was all I fucking had and It was all fucking fake." You said, your voice cracking on the word.
"I haven't had the greatest fucking life! My parents were abusive. I had no friends, I was bullied. Nobody had showed me even a fucking glimpse of kindness until I met Ren at fifteen! Fifteen long fucking years of feeling worthless, of being treated like trash by everybody around me!"
"I met Manjiro around the same time too, but he was too busy with his gang to be by my side and â and Ren was! Ren was always there to wipe my tears away, to treat my wounds no matter who had given them to me! It didn't matter to me, that he would add his own bruises and cuts along my already battered body, because at least he would try and clean up the mess afterwards!"
"But now, I AM the fucking mess and there's nobody in this godforsaken world who is going to fucking clean it up!"
Ran didn't care that you were practically an inch or two from his face, he didn't care that you were seething and screeching loudly, he was just thankful that you had finally voiced your emotions â and in this moment, he silently made a promise that he would always be around to listen to you the way you needed him to, the way that he was right now.
"Wh-what are you doing? N-no, stop!" You shouted when Ran's arms began to wrap around you, and your pleas fell on deaf ears as he hooked his chin over your head before hugging your trembling body tightly against him.
"Y/n, I will always be here to clean up your messes." He said, all trace of anger in his voice was long gone and replaced by his warm, velvety tone and you sucked in a breath at his words.
"People pick flowers because they think they are beautiful, but what happens to those flowers after they've been plucked from their only source of nutrients? They wilt away into nothing and die if they are not properly taken care of." He explained, and the comparison of flowers to the heavy topic you had just screamed about seemed to have no relation until he breathed deeply before speaking again.
"You, y/n, you are the most beautiful flower that I have ever laid my eyes on. You may be wilting away right now because of somebody else's carelessness and neglect, but I promise, I fucking promise you, that I will give you the proper things you need to flourish once again." He concluded, and the sounds of your sniffles along with the shaking of your body as you cried were the only things he could focus on.
"Y/n ... Princess, let me take care of you." He pleaded, his voice was so soft that he didn't even recognize it.
As much as you wanted to say no because you knew that you were undeserving of something, someone, so kind, you couldn't help but nod and whisper out a small 'yes,' that made all of Ran's resolve snap. A wide grin spread across his lips and he pulled back to look at you adoringly, while bringing a hand up tp wipe the tears off your cheeks.
"Yeah? Gonna let me take care of my pretty little flower?" He asked sweetly, his words making your face beet red and all the air leave your lungs leaving you to only be able to nod in response to him.
"Come on then, let's get you cleaned up." He said, reaching down to grab your freezing cold hand.
He pulled you through the solarium and kitchen, passing the living room where both Rindou and Sanzu were looking at the both of you with wide eyes as you strolled by before making your way up the stairs, not even sparing them so much as once glance, and Ran could have sworn he felt their glares burning holes into the side of his head.
But he didn't care about them right now, all he wanted was to take care of the person nuzzling into him for warmth as you both made your way up to your bedroom. Even though you weren't sure what his plans were, a small part of you was instilling a tiny bit of trust in him.
âStay here, Iâm gonna go turn the water on for you so it heats up by the time youâre ready.â Ran said, trying to walk away though your hand tightened around his, stopping him in his tracks and causing him to look back at you with furrowed brows.
âTh-the water doesnât have to be warm.â You said quickly and quietly, and Ran was sure he heard you wrong.
âHuh?â
âI-I said the water doesnât have to be warm.â You said, embarrassment washing over you as confusion washed over him.
Why didnât you want a warm shower? Were you trying to make yourself sick after he just told you he wanted to take care of you?
âWhy not?â He questioned, trying his hardest not to let his irritation show. Honestly, he was just upset that you seemed to still be planning a way to hurt yourself.
âIâm s-scared of warm things.â You admitted, making his brows furrow even more.
He thought back to the day when you came into the kitchen and saw Rindou cooking something on the stove. You lost your mind, walking towards him while biting his head off for using your house without asking, and he remembered watching as you visibly shook with fear as your trembling had reached up and shut off the burner before retreating back to your room that you didnât come out of for the rest of the night.
Or all the times you would come out of the shower, dressed in baggy clothing and wrapped in a large fluffy blanket while you shivered uncontrollably. He had teased you once or twice about needing a cold shower after the trio had teased you with lewd jokes, but he thought nothing of it.
Your file, he thought to himself. He knew that you nearly died in a fire overseas⌠but he didnât realize how much that could have traumatized somebody until this very moment, with you holding onto him for dear life as you stared up at him, silently pleading for him to listen.
âHow about we shower together.â He suggested, making your face flush a deep red. He hadnât realized how blunt he had sounded until he saw your reaction, and he chuckled lowly.
âWe can keep our underwear on, Princess. Trust me when I say, Iâm not about to force you to do something you wouldnât want to do. Pretty flowers need time to grow and be what theyâre supposed to, so I intend to go as slow as possible with you. I just want to show you, that as long as Iâm around, you have nothing to be afraid of.â He explained, reaching up and tucking a strand of hair behind your red tipped ear, his eyes searching yours for any hint of hesitation.
However, you surprised him by nodding slowly, even more shocked when you reached up and unzipped your hoodie, before letting it fall to the ground, exposing your black lacy bra to him. He hadnât realized you werenât wearing a shirt under there, and he could feel the blood rushing straight to his dick.
He matched you by reaching up and unbuttoning his white dress shirt, each button that came undone revealed a path of perfectly toned chest and abdomen t that were covered in a tattoo that took up the right side of his body, and the ink travelled down his perfect chiseled abs underneath the waistband of the slacks that he had been left in.
He could see you ogling his body, looking away each time you realized you were staring too long and he had to bite back a comment about you liking what you see. He didnât want to make you feel any more embarrassed than you already were, but seeing you so flustered over his body made him painfully hard.
He just hoped that you would politely advert your gaze the same way you had been doing this whole time once he took his pants off, and once the material and his belt clamoured to the floor, your eyes widened as they took in the size of the bulge in his boxers and your thighs pressed together before you looked away, coughing awkwardly.
âSorry, youâre just so beautiful, it canât be helped.â He said, making you cover your face with your hands in embarrassment.
When you heard him walking into the bathroom, you finally took your hands away from your face. You were still in your sweatpants, and when you heard Ran turn the shower on, you took them off and let them fall beside the pile of his clothing on the floor next to you.
You had to mentally prepare yourself for everything that was about to happen. You were about to shower with a man, whom you werenât married to, in warm water that you knew was going to set off a wave of ptsd. Yet, your mind couldnât help but recite the reassuring words Ran had spoken to you when he suggested you shower together in the first place.
âAs long as Iâm around, you have nothing to be afraid of.â
âY/n, are you coming?â Ranâs voice echoed off the bathroom walls and filtered into your bedroom. You took several deep breaths in, before slowly walking into the bathroom.
You could see Ranâs body through the frosted glass door of the shower, and you made you way towards it. With a shaky hand, you reached out and pressed your palm against the glass door, tending up when you realized it was emitting the smallest bit of warmth due to the temperature of the water.
I can do this, I can do this. Heâs there⌠he wonât let it hurt me, you told yourself, before opening the door and stepping into the shower.
âThereâs my pretty girl.â Ran said with a soft smile as he saw your half naked body finally stepping into the small confines of the shower. He was trying his hardest not to focus on your breasts that looked delicious all wrapped up and pretty behind the lace of your bra.
He reached out to you, both of his hands wrapping around your wrists and slowly starting to pull you towards him. You were hesitant as you could feel the heat of the water that was a few inches away from you, and you were trying your hardest not to slip into your own mind.
âItâs okay baby, Iâve got you.â Ran said, stepping forward and pressing his warm, lanky body against yours. Your head immediately fell onto his chest, your ear and cheek pressed up against it as your eyes fixated on the glass door.
The exit is right there, itâs right there if I need it.
âItâs not hot, I made sure of it. Just a little warm and each time we shower we can slowly work our way up.â He said, making your eyes widen.
Each time we shower? He wants to do this more?
âO-okay. I-Iâm ready.â You said, lying not only to him but to yourself as well. You knew that you would never actually be ready to do something that scared you so bad, but the feeling of his warm body against yours was providing you a small sense of comfort, and you figured that if you were okay to be in his warmth, then you could be okay in the warmth of the water as well.
âOkay pretty.â He said softly, before walking you both backwards towards the stream of the water.
Your arms were the first thing to feel the foreign, lukewarm water and you were already planning on fleeing until Ranâs arms moved their way up and down your back slowly and soothingly. Without realizing it, you leaned further into him, causing your hair to get wet and warm water to splash your face, making you panic and back up a bit.
âHey hey, itâs okay. You did it.â He said softly, not bothering to pull you back into him when he saw your tear filled eyes and heaving chest. He could see you were struggling, and he really didnât want you to have to get out.
âHow about you turn around and lean back against me so that your face doesnât get wet. Iâll wash your hair for you, how does that sound?â He asked, reaching over and running a hand down your side, all you could do was nod.
With that, Ranâs large hands stopped on your hips and gently spun you around so that you were now looking away from him. He maneuvered you backwards so that your back was flush against his chest, and your bum was pressed softly against his hard on, and you forced yourself to focus on his rapid heartbeat on your back rather than the twitching muscle that made your thighs clench slightly.
âYou donât have to say anything, but make sure you tap my thigh if it becomes too much for you.â He said, before slowly tipping your head backwards.
The water worked itâs way through your hair, making the strands appear longer than they really were as the cascaded down your back. Ran made sure to stop tilting your head the moment the stream of water met your hairline, and although he could feel how tense you were and how much you were trembling, you still didnât ask him to stop.
âGood job y/n. Youâre doing so well.â He praised, making your stomach flip.
You felt him shifting around behind you before you heard the sound of your shampoo bottle being opened, and Ranâs hands left your body entirely as he poured shampoo into them before working it into a lather as he rubbed his palms together. The moment you felt hung fingertips beginning to work the shampoo through your hair, you relaxed, and when you felt his fingernails grazing your scalp as he massaged it, you let out a long, content sigh.
âSuch cute sounds.â Ran mused, teasing you slightly seeing as your body and mind have calmed quite a bit.
âS-stop it.â You said quietly, a blush dusting your cheeks while a shit eating grin adorned Ranâs pretty pink lips. He didnât want to show it, but he was ecstatic that he was the first of the three you had opened up to.
The rest of the shower went surprisingly well and Ran had rinsed and conditioned your hair and even turned around to give your privacy while you wash your entire body and when you had gotten out, he was quick to cover you with a towel before stepping out to change and allowing you to do the same.
Right now, you were currently sitting in his lap, facing him with your legs on either side of his torso. You had changed into sweatpants and a tank top, not bothering to put a bra on which Ran had a hard time not focusing on. He could feel your nipples against his bare chest as you sat leaned against him whilst his hands worked through your hair delicately.
âWhere did you learn how to braid hair?â You asked, reaching up and playing with the slightly damped strands on his head. You realized he didnât have enough hair to braid, not that you had known how to anyways.
âI had really long hair when I was younger. Used to wear it in little braided pigtails.â He said, making a small smile play on your lips.
That sounds really cute, you thought.
âBet you looked funny.â You said, making Ran scoff playfully. He didnât comment on that little did you took at him because he was just happy that you were starting to act like your old self once again. Still, a part of him was focusing on the fact that you didnât know how to do your own hair, and it made him want to pay your mother a not so friendly visit.
He also wondered what other things she may have done to you, but he wouldnât dare ask you. Not while you were slowly beginning to fall asleep wrapped around him like a koala, and surely not after getting you to come out of your two month long depressive episode.
Once your soft snores made their way to his ears, Ran slowly laid back and made sure to move your legs so that they were now in between his long legs instead of them being pinned underneath him when his back hit your soft mattress. His hands made their way to your back before he began to scratch gently, and he leant his head down a bit to press a small kiss to your forehead before finally falling into a peaceful slumber.
Somewhere in the house, Rindou and Sanzu were envious of the older Haitani as they had both come to check on you guys after not hearing from you for a while, and they both silently questioned whether or not you would eventually become as close like that with them, as you were with Ran.

"W-why do you want to talk about Bonten?" You asked, eyebrows knitting tightly in confusion.
Had he not wanted to talk about the time you've both spent apart? Had he not cared about the last three years you'd spent trying to avenge his fake death?
"Because you've been working with them, right?" He asked, though he knew the answer as he had his eyes on you for the last three years. Always so close, yet so far as he lurked within the shadows of the underworld while you danced on the fine line between it and the civilian life style that you had been struggling to live.
"I- I was... b-but not anymore! They were only helping me find you." You said reassuringly, sniffling slightly as you tried to dry your tears.
You knew he hated it when you cried, but even the most decent of human beings would cry after being part from your spouse for so long right? So why does Ren look like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world right now?
"Because they want to kill me." He stated, and you sighed at his true statement, a small frown etching onto your features.
"At first, yeah! But it's fine, Manjiro told me that if I can prove that you weren't doing all of those horrible things by your own free will, then he'll let you live!" You said happily, smiling softly as you looked up into his eyes that had hardened with a glare, making your heart drop into your stomach.
You knew what happened after he looked at you like that, so why didn't you try to run?
"Ahh yes, Manjiro Sano." Ren said, standing to his feet suddenly, looking down at you with a cocked head to see your tortured expression. "You never could get his name out of your mouth, even when it was ME who pitied you enough to marry you."
What? He married me out of pity? No... this isn't Ren. The Ren I know would NEVER say this kind of stuff to me.
"N-no Ren, it's not like that, I swear. Manjiro is good at keeping his word, he won't hurt y-"
"Save your breath, y/n. I'm not going to let that fucker or his men catch me. They're nothing compared to the army I have rounded up over the last few years." Ren said, before squatting down so that he was eye level with you.
Had he really being acting on his own accord this whole time?
"You were supposed to die that night, you know? I promised Hiro and his buddies some action with you so long as they made sure you didn't make it out of that fire." He said, and not only did you freeze, but so did Ran, Rindou and Sanzu who were lurking in the shadows of the sun that was nearly completely gone from the sky.
"W-what?" You asked, trying to process what he had just told you.
"My my, you really are a pathetically stupid thing." He mused, squishing your chin between his fingers roughly, making you wince.
Pathetic... why does everyone think I'm pathetic? First my family, then Rindou and Sanzu... and now my own husband?
"Tell me, do you really think that after all this time, I'd actually want to still be with you? Do you know how many women I had slept with the moment I was finally free from you and your depressing little life that you had dragged me in to?"
Depressing little life... it's my fault. It's all my fault he's like this. I- I caused it?
"I'm sorry." You said, making Ren chuckle out a laugh. He knew you were easy to manipulate, he just didn't think you'd still be this easy considering all you've gone through.
"As you should be, after all you did this to yourself. You're the reason I was so unhappy with my life, why I felt the need to fake my death just to escape you. You're a horrible person, y/n." Ren said, his eyes never leaving yours that were wide as the harshness of his words sunk in.
"I-I'm not-" you were cut off by a harsh slap to the cheek, and Ran inched towards his gun, only to be stopped by Sanzu holding a hand out to halt his movements.
"Are you really going to sit here and deny that? Look at everything you've done since I've been gone, it's not much is it? Your life is miserable, YOU are miserable. Geez, it's like you're meant to be lonely." Ren laughed, making you sob softly.
"W-why... why did you do this?" You asked, looking up at him through your wet lashes as you sobbed like a child. You entire heart feels like it literally shattered in your chest, puncturing your lungs and wiping all the air from your system as you struggle to breathe normally.
"Because you're worthless, and God! Must I say it AGAIN? - pathetic! You'll never amount to anything, I'm even shocked to see that you're still standing with all that baggage you come with."
His insults were digging right into you as if you were freshly turned dirt in a garden full of wilted weeds, rooting deeply with the soil - your mind, refusing to let go.
"No man, is ever going to love you. I know I sure as hell never did. I cant even lie and say that I kept you around because you were a good fuck, because you weren't."
So it was all a lie. Every touch, every kiss... even every smile and smile the two of you shared as just played into his façade.
"I'd kill you myself, but you're really not worth even a single bullet in this gun. How about you just go of and kill your self." Ren spat, twirling around the gun he had pulled out of his pants pocket. He was staring down at you still, a sadistic smile on his face - the face that you had once loved so much, only made you want to curl up into a ball and cry.
And that's exactly what you did, even after a gunshot rang loudly in your ears. You had hoped it had been directed at you, that Ren had maybe had a change of heart, but when you heard some shuffling from below the cliff, and Ren's quiet 'fuck,' you knew that wasn't the case, and you could have sworn your eyes deceived you as Ren jumped off the cliff, right into the ocean below.
You would have gotten up to see what really went down, if your body had any fight left in it, but it didnt. You didn't have a single ounce of motivation to even try to keep breathing, and if weren't such a natural occurrence, you would have given up and just died on the spot.
As I should have all those years ago, you thought to yourself.
"Hey... get up." Sanzu said, his voice was monotonous as he spoke to you, not forgetting the way you shouted at him days prior. He wanted to be mad still, to yell at you and make you fear for your life as you were now supposed to be their enemy, but he couldn't.
None of them could do anything except for stare down at your small frame trembling against the cold and jagged rocks beneath you as you sniffled lightly. They knew you were constantly looking over you shoulder to try and avoid them for the last three days, and with them being right in front of you they expected you to put a fight, but you didn't.
"Princess, come on." Ran urged, immediately pocketing his gun and kneeling down to try and get eye level with you.
Unfortunately for him, you only brought your hands up to cover your face as you curled into a ball and sobbed loudly. You didn't want to look him, or anybody else in the eyes ever again. You didn't feel worthy of taking up anybody's time or attention, hell you really didn't even feel worthy of life.
"Don't call m'that. Don't deserve it." You sobbed out softly, and it was so quiet that you had thought you were the only one who could hear it, but the three of them had developed an insane sense of hearing since becoming wanted criminals, and the three of them shared a saddened look.
This wasn't you. Usually you would have some snarky comeback, or snap at any of them for giving you a pet name, and to hear you talking about how you don't deserve something so small as a simple tease, made them angry.
You on the other hand were only slightly embarrassed that they had heard everything between you and Ren. You would have been more embarrassed had you not just given up on the concept of your shit life, but right now all you could do was sob and whimper out soft pleas.
"P-please k-kill me." You begged, over and over again until your voice was too hoarse to speak anymore.
Sanzu had pinched the bridge of his nose between his thumb and index finger as he was now conflicted on what to do. Mikey had given him permission to kill you once they found you, and Sanzu had a whole plan in nod to torture you into apologizing to him for being so rude to him, but now all he wanted to do was lay down beside you and tell you that things were going to be okay.
Even though he knew that they weren't going to be, not for a while at least. So, with a sigh he turned on his heels and climbed back down the rocks, reaching into his pocket to pull out his cellphone and dial Mikey's number - explaining the situation to his boss in full detail.
"Y/n... it's getting chilly. We should go back to the hotel." Rindou said, reaching down to grab your shoulder and hopefully turn you back over to face him, but you only cried harder.
"Y-you like to b-break b-bones right, Rin? P-please break m-my neck." You sobbed out, still not bothering to pull your hands away from your face, and Rindou sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He was trying so hard not to focus on the little nickname you called him, and trying to focus on figuring out how they were going to get you back to your hotel room.
"Y/n, please. Don't talk like this." Ran said, still kneeling next to you and fighting to urge to reach out and run his fingers through your soft, silky hair.
"P-please. I-I have nothin' left. M'pathetic. A-ask Rin and Sanzu... they'll a-a-agree." You sobbed out, making Rindou and Sanzu, who had just climbed back up to the three of you, feel horrible for the last conversation they each had with you.
Would you be this affected by Ren's words if they hadn't said the exact same things out of anger a few days prior?
"Come on, we need to go." Sanzu urged, his voice the tiniest bit softer in hopes you'd listen, but of course that was never the case with you, and you only shook your head slightly.
"I'll carry you if you don't come with us." Ran said, playfully threatening you with his playful tone, but you freaked out and slowly got to your feet, your eyes casted at the ground, making Sanzu chuckle.
"Didn't want him to carry you that bad, eh?" Rindou asked as he tried to ease the obvious tension, though you still didn't look at him.
"I-just don't deserve it... don't deserve anything." You repeated, making the trio share another concerned look.
They knew they should be angry with you for leaving, Rindou and Sanzu especially considering he way you treated them the last time you spoke with them, but seeing you so broken, so vulnerable and lost in your own mind made everything but concern fade away within them. It's like the night you heard the air raid siren and needed to fall asleep in Sanzu's arms, only you wouldn't let them anywhere near you.
The entire ride back to your hotel room, you had spent with your knees up on the seat of the suv with your arms hugged around them while you softly cried into them. Mumbled about 's'all my fault, wanna die and the occasional, don't deserve anything,' would softly fill the silence in the vehicle.
Once back at your hotel room, you were quick to find Manjiro and the rest of Bonten idly sitting around the room, with Sarge leaning against Manjiro's legs. The white haired male eyed you cautiously, and noticed the familiar, distant look in your eyes - one that he himself had worn one too many times in his life, and he sighed.
He knew what it was like to live like that, he knew that you would be utterly useless to Bonten while being like this. He knew he should kill you, but why couldn't he bring himself to take his gun out and shoot you where you stood? That's a question he'll always be asking himself from here on out.
"M-Manjiro," you breathed out shakily, before wandering over and dropping onto your knees in front of him. "Pl-please kill me. P-please. S'all my fault."
"Y/n..." Manjiro spoke hesitantly, his eyes widening when he watched you look up at him pleadingly. "I'm not going to kill you, I have no reason t-"
"Yes you do!" You shouted suddenly, making him jump. "Y-you told me that if I was wrong about Ren, that you'd put a bullet through both our skulls!"
Fuck, he as forgotten all about his little threat to you weeks prior, and he was now regretting it. Manjiro was almost always a man of his word, so to go back on it would be very uncharacteristic of him, but he couldn't just kill off someone he considered a friend - especially in a state like this.
"I was wrong, Manjiro. I was wrong and y-you were right. H-he's a b-bad person and... he do-doesn't want me. P-please, just kill me!"
"Y/n, no. Nobody in this room is going to kill you, no matter how many times you ask. Youre not in the right headspace right now, please just try to calm down and -"
"Calm down!? You want me to calm down?!" You shrieked, slowly rising to your feet. "How the fuck am I supposed to calm down when everything I had ever known has all been one giant fucking lie!? How am I supposed to calm down knowing that my efforts to get my husband over the last three years were all for nothing!? He WATCHED me, he knew what I was doing to try and get to him, and he let me believe he was really dead because he wanted away from me!"
"He wanted out, Manjiro." You said, your tone softening slightly. "He hated me so much that he faked his death to get away from me. I'm so pathetic, I'm so useless. I don't deserve to even be speaking to you... any of you." You slowly looked around the room, sensing the tension in the air, and suddenly a thought popped up into your mind.
"That's it - that's why you won't kill me. I'm not even worth your fucking time." You said with a laugh, making Manjiro sigh and try to hold onto the sliver of patience he had left for you.
"No that's not-"
"Save it." You said, cutting him off as you walked to the bathroom. "If you won't kill me, I'll just kill myself."
The moment that declaration left your mouth, all hell broke loose.
You slammed the bathroom door shut and locked it quickly just as Sanzu had lunged to the door, Ran and Rindou quick to follow behind him as did the rest of Bonten, aside from Manjiro who was still sitting on the bed, so stunned by your actions.
"Princess! Princess open the door, don't do this." Ran's voice was barely muffle by the paper thin door, and you knew you only had a few moments to figure out what you were going to do with yourself.
You eyes scanned around the small bathroom, trying to find something, anything that you could use to take your own life, but nothing was seeming to prove useful to you, and the banging and shouting on the door just kept getting louder and louder.
It wasn't until your eyes met your reflection in the mirror, that everything around you seemed to fall silent as your mind revolted at the sight of yourself in the reflective glass. Your hair was a mess, your eyes were red and puffy, and your lashes and cheeks were stained with tears.
You're pathetic. The voice in your head sounded suspiciously like Ren's and it drove you more and more crazy with each insult that it spoke to you.
Lonely.
Useless.
Worthless!
From outside the door, all they could hear was the sound of glass breaking loudly and the trio's hearts fell into their stomachs. They had never, in a million years, felt so scared for someone's well being the way they were fearing for yours right now, and without a word, Rindou surged forward, throwing himself into the door and knocking it clean off his hinges to reveal you standing in the middle of the room, your back to them. You were o focused in your own mind, you hadn't heard anyone enter.
Your right hand was covered in blood that dripped down onto the floor, your palm was currently being shred open by the large shard of glass you were clenching in your hand, and you had it held at the base of your throat. Just as you began to dig the knife in, your arms were quickly grabbed and thrown behind you, the glass dropping to the floor and shattering as it joined the rest of its remnants.
"Fuck. Ran, help me." Rindou ordered as he struggled to hold onto your thrashing form. You were screaming curse after curse at the purple haired male for ruining your chance at what you thought was going to be your salvation.
Ran stood in front of you suddenly, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, so he did the only think he could think of. He reached forward, wrapping both his arms around your shoulders, making Rindou drop his hold on you, before pulling you into his warm, lanky body.
No, no stop. Is what you wanted to say to say to him, yet you couldn't. You couldn't do anything aside from sob pathetically, your body nearly going limp in his hold and you found yourself comparing the warmth of Ran to the cold touch of Ren, and you found yourself slowly starting to melt into his embrace despite the fact that you despised warm things.
"S'okay Princess, I've got you. Let it out." Ran said softly into your ear, before hooking his chin over the top of your head and looking at his brother who was watching the both of you with a solemn expression.
You weren't sure how long you two stayed like that for, with you in his embrace as you focused on his steady breathing and the warm feeling of his large hands running up and down your back soothingly. You weren't sure when the room cleared out, leaning only you and the Bonten trio, and you sure as hell were not sure as to when you passed out, exhausted from todays events, in Ran's arms.

Previous|Part Ten|Next
It was three days that had passed since the day you walked out of your own home, proclaiming your adventure to Okinawa, and so far you had managed to gather fuck all on your husbands whereabouts. You had come up empty handed each time you thought you had a lead, and it was becoming incredibly frustrating.
Not to mention the texts you had received from the Bonten trio, and even Manjiro himself, declaring you an official enemy to the Bonten organization. You hadn't realized it until now, but you needed those cunning men much more than you'd wanted to admit, yet all you could think about when you began to think of the name Bonten, were the things that both Rindou and Sanzu said to you.
Maybe I am pathetic, you thought as you wandered the busy streets of Okinawa, your sundress swaying about with each step you took. Who the hell gets so emotional after being cussed out by a fucking criminal?
You were enraged that you had let their words affect you so much. You weren't sure why they did. Maybe it was because a very minuscule part of you enjoyed their presence, even if you hadn't really grown all that close to them. It was nice to know that there were people in your home with you, especially people who knew how to fight or protect you if things went wrong.
You were tired of being the one to serve and protect, you just wanted to live a simple life with your husband once finding him, and now you've gone and fucked it all up by making the worst criminal organization, your enemy. To say you were panicking about it would be an understatement as you knew now that you had an even smaller window when it came to finding your husband, and you needed to make sure you did it before they find him.
Or worse, before they find you. Lord only knows what they'll do to you now that you're their enemy. Before when Manjiro was about to kill you and you so willingly submitted, he was going to take you to the rooftop and hold you tightly as you watched the bustling nightlife of Tokyo below whilst Sanzu shot you quickly.
Now you were afraid of the torture that would ensue once they got their grubby little hands on you. Would they do to you what Wantanabe and his friends did to you? Would they make it worse? The thought made a shiver down your spine, and somewhere down the road from you where you were being watched, unbeknownst to you, by the Bonten trio, they smirked when they saw you were lost in thought.
Now would have been a perfect chance to strike, to kidnap you and take you back to the motel that you were staying in, only a room beside where they were staying. They couldn't believe how dumb you had been to not get rid of your cellphone considering that was how they tracked you here, but then they remembered that you weren't exactly a criminal, and that you didn't have the same mindset as them, so it made it all the more easier for them to want to toy with you just a little bit before going in for the kill.
They were like a predator in the woods, stalking their small and innocent pray. You looked more vulnerable and innocent in that flowy white sundress that made the trio's pants just the slightest bit tighter than normal, and they hated it.
They hated the effect you had on them, knowing that they had no effect on you whatsoever. They hated that they had been nice to you, only for you to turn around and spit in their face with your harsh words. To be able to walk away from them so easily had made an indescribable bout of anger bubble up within the three of them, yet they couldn't be bothered to make a move on you just yet.
Especially when not when they saw a young woman crying out for help, watching as you completely changed your trajectory to rush over to her and see what was going on. They watched you flinch as she told you that her child had gone missing whilst she hugged you and cried into your arms, before you pulled back and placed your hands on her tear stained cheeks to look her in the eyes. So they got a little closer to where the both of you stood, before ducking into the alleyway a few feet away from you.
"Look at me," you had ordered softly, making the woman sniffle as she locked eyes with you. "I know how scary it is to lose a child, but I promise I will help you find him, okay?"
"Y-you have a child?" She questioned, and you sighed.
"I- I almost did." You said, making the trio look at each other with wide eyes. Nothing like that had been mentioned on your file, and Sanzu wondered if that's why you were so upset when he asked you about the tiny little urn in your house.
"Ah... I'm so sorry." She said, making you smile softly.
"Don't be sorry, it wasn't your fault. You weren't a part of the group who took that happiness away from me. But enough about me, what does your son look like so we can find him?" You asked selflessly, and as much as they hated to admit, Ran, Rindou and Sanzu had respected you even more.
Forty minutes had gone by, and the both of you were still searching desperately for her son, who's named you learned was Minato after she had told you that her name was Akira. You were both holding hands, due to Akira needing some emotional support to try and calm her mind from racing from the horrible possibilities of what was potentially happening to her son.
"If you don't mind me saying this... it looks like you've been through a lot by the way you carry yourself." Akira had said suddenly as she had noticed your expression going stoic the moment you weren't trying to comfort her, and she also noticed the way your entire body always tensed at her touch.
"I have." You admitted quietly, making the woman frown slightly. "I used to serve in the army."
"Oh my, th-thank you for your service." She said, making you scoff lightly as you huffed out a small laugh.
"D-don't thank me. I'm an awful person because of it."
"I don't think that's true. I'm sure your friends and family don't think that." She said, making your chest tighten.
"I- I don't have any family." You said, making her eyes widen.
"Surely you have friends, your so kind." She was trying her hardest to make you feel good about yourself despite the current situation she was in, and you found yourself in awe of her selflessness.
"I don't, I never... well I- I think I had a few up until a few days ago. It's a long story but I tend to ruin every good thing in my life, and I think I ruined our friendship as well. But I think I kind of miss their company? Even if they were assholes half the time." You admitted, thinking of Manjiro and the trio who stopped walking behind you as your words sunk in.
You missed them? Then why did you run away?
"I'm sure they would forgive you, you're so kind after all." Akira said, making you shake your head gently. You knew that there was no such thing as forgiveness in the underworld.
"I don't think so." You said, you eyes scanning over the nearly empty pier when you saw a child sitting up on the rocks at the end of it, crouched down into a little ball as he hugged himself tightly while crying.
"Look!" You said, poring over to the crying child, making Akira follow your finger. A gasp left her mouth and she let go of your hand, and she ran towards her son, calling out his name.
"Minato! Minato baby, I've found you!" She shouted, sobs leaving her mouth as she finally wrapped her arms around her small boy, making your chest ache in envy that she was able to physically hug her child.
You realized as you watched them, that Akira and you would probably never speak to each other again. You had helped her out, she had gotten what she wanted, and you were prepared to be tossed to the side like trash now that her crises was over. So you turned around and began to walk away, when you felt her soft fingers wrapping around your wrist, pulling your attention back to her.
"Wait! Here, take this." Akira said, handing you a business card with her name and phone number on it, and you looked at her bewilderedly.
Did she just give me her number?
"I would like to keep in touch with you, y/n. I-I think we could be great friends some day." She said, her big blue eyes shining brightly back at you, before they flashed to look down at the child on her hip. "What do you think, Minato? Can we be friends with the lady that helped me find you?"
"Yes mommy!" He said, looking up at you with eyes the same colour of his mothers. "Thank you, miss lady!"
His tiny little voice thanking you nearly pushed you over the edge and you felt your eyes becoming glossy as you looked down at the boy adoringly. Without thinking, you squatted down to be eye level with him, and you smiled softly at him.
"Thank you Minato, I look forward to seeing you and your mother in the future." You said, giving the boy a small pat on his fluffy, sandy coloured hair before standing upright once again.
After the three of you bid farewell, you heard something snap behind you, and you looked behind you at the open food shack to find that there wasn't a single person in sight, so you chose to ignore it and turn back around.
You decided to walk up to the rocks that Minato had been sitting on, and you climbed them carefully. Once you were at the very top, you could see why he was freaking out as you looked down at the rapid rushing water of the ocean below. It was almost as if you were sitting at the edge of a cliff.
"My my, you haven't changed one bit." A disembodied voice spoke, coming from somewhere behind you. You thought it may have sounded familiar, but you didn't bother to turn around.
Instead, you heard the sound of someone climbing the rocks, before a pair of trousers came into your peripheral vision, plopping down on the rocks beside you. It wasn't until the person put an arm around your shoulder, that you flinched and turned to look at them with a glare, which quickly faded when you found the familiar pair of emerald eyes, the ones that you had longed to see for the last three years, staring back at you.
âRenâŚâ you whispered, the name sounding funny on your lips after all this time. You could feel your tears pooling up in your eyes before spilling out over the edge, slowly sliding down your cheeks.
He reached up, both of his hands on either side of your sides of your cheeks while his thumb gently wiped them away, making you sniffle and lean more into his touch. You thought it was odd that his hands were so cold, you could sworn they used to be filled with enough warm to power a small furnace.
âWe have so much to talk about, my pretty wife.â He said, leaning forward and placing a kiss on your forehead, making you sob before finally wrapping your arms around the man, who merely chuckled at your reaction.
The trio had worked their way over to the both of you, ready to to kill two birds with one stone , until they saw your brightly smiling face. In the short amount of time that they had known you, they had not once seen you smile, and they never imagined you could look even more beautiful than you already had, until they saw your pearly whites reflecting in the low setting sun.
You looked so small being cuddled up into somebody like this, you mess nuzzled into your husbands neck. The way you just looked so happy and finally at peace made their chests tighten slightly. They couldnât understand the feelings that were washing over them.
The three felt jealous - something that had never happened to them anymore since obtaining their power and wealth. They could have anything, or anyone with the snap of their fingers, it had never been an issue before.
Until they met you.
You were stubborn, constantly bitching at them for the smallest of things that would set you off while spending time in your home, and they never failed to notice how on edge you had been around them. But now, seeing you relaxed and crying out of sheer happiness⌠made them even more mad than they already had been about your betrayal.
How dare you find comfort in the arms of another man when you had three, more than willing men at your disposal? Sure they hadnât talked to you about them liking you, hell they hadnât admitted it amongst each other, but seeing you like this right now made the trio come to a silent understanding.
Sanzu raised his gun, ready to shoot Ren in the head, until he heard what came out of his mouth next, and he decided that getting some more information before killing him would benefit his boss, who would always be his number one priority.
âFor starters,â Ren had said as he pulled back from you, his hands gently clasping onto yours. âLetâs talk about that gang of bitches youâve been working with - Bonten.â

"What are you doing in my room?" You asked, after yawning loudly and sitting up in your bed. You had caught a glimpse of purple hair, slightly disheveled and long, lanky limbs sprawled out in the chair in your room.
"You asked us to stay." Rindou's voice came from beneath you, and you peered over the side of the bed to see his unruly purple mullet splayed across a pillow he had stolen from your bed.
"I highly doubt that." You said monotonously, reaching down to snatch the pillow, but Rindou had rolled away from you at the last second, a soft chuckle falling from his lips.
"Yeah, okay. You were crying out for Sanzu when he set you in bed last night, you nearly gave the poor fucker a hernia. He was so confused by your... odd, behaviour. When he had to leave to go with Mikey, you begged us to sleep in here." Ran said, his raspy morning voice going straight to your core.
Why the FUCK am I feeling like this about fucking Ran Haitani? I have a fucking HUSBAND! You reminded yourself bitterly, feeling guilty.
You needed to find him. You were irritated that Manjiro told you that you had to wait for Bonten to tie up some loose ends before heading to Okinawa, but you knew that leaving on your own would only put a target on your back, and for the first time in forever, you had hope, you had something to live for.
Someone to live for.
"I... thank you for staying. But can you please leave? I need to change." You said, feeling that you were still wearing the dress from the night before, and a wave of relief washed over you.
"Oh, you can go ahead and change if you want." Rindou said, sitting up finally and eyeing you down with a challenging look that made you shiver despite the horrified expression on your face.
"Yeah Princess, don't worry. If I see something I haven't before, I'll bark at it." Ran added, making your face go beat red and you quickly grabbed your pillow and swung it at Rindou's head, making him fall backwards onto the floor. You were irritated that his head landed on the pillow he had stolen, and you turned around and tossed the pillow at Ran who caught it with ease, adding to your anger.
"Get the fuck out!" You screeched, making both Haitani burst out into laughter. Thankfully they had quickly complied with your request, and you followed behind them as they laughed all the way out of your room, and down into the hallway.
You slammed your door to make a point, and you locked it for good measure. A very small, minuscule part of you wanted to trust they wouldn't barge in here to take a look at you, but the past trauma abolished that trust the moment you thought about the last people to ever see you naked.Â
You decided to shower after grabbing a change of clothes from the closet, and you also made sure to lock the bathroom door behind you as well. You wandered over to the shower, and you looked at the handle with a hard stare. You were contemplating on whether or not to try to inch your way back up to showers that had almost been lukewarm, but then you remembered what happened to you last night and you quickly became embarrassed at the fact that the worst criminals of Japan had witnessed your panic attack, and you opted to not have anything else trigger you so soon.
After showering, you dressed yourself in spandex shorts, and a dark grey tank top as you had decided in going down to the basement. You and Ren had converted it into a fully equipped gym after the both of you had moved in, and it had been a while since you worked out.
Plus, you needed a distraction from the eerie darkness that you could feel looming around inside of you. It had been a while since you felt like this, the last time being when you first decided on your vengeance mission against Wantanabe and the rest of your platoon, and the thought scared you.
You had thrown your hair up into a ponytail before exiting the bathroom, delighted you find that your door was still closed. You wandered over to your nightstand and grabbed your phone, followed by your airpods. You knew your playlist wouldn't trigger any bad memories, so you stuck the pods in your ears and turned on your playlist.
After making your way downstairs, you passed the living room where the Haitani's were lounging, and you see that they had changed into a pair of sweatpants, and each of them had a different coloured long sleeve shirt on. Rans was a light grey that matched his grey sweatpants, and Rindou's was black.
You made no effort to keep looking at them once they noticed you, and you kept your gaze adverted as you made your way down the hallway. Unbeknownst to you, the brothers were fighting the urge to sabotage whatever you had planned so they could see you in your revealing clothing for a little while longer, and Rindou had to adjust himself awkwardly as his pants grew a little tighter - earning a tease from his older brother about being too easy.
Just as you made your way down the stairs, you stopped as you came to the closed over door that separated you from the gym. You knew you had moved a bunch of things down here after Ren had died, and you weren't sure if you were ready to be faced with it all. You know now that he's still alive, so it shouldn't bug you that much, right?
With a deep inhale, you pushed open the door and stepped inside, letting it shut quietly behind you. You saw all of your old pictures, and totes full of Ren's clothing, and all of your paintings in a corner of the room, and chose to ignore it as you walked onto the mats in the middle of the room.
There was a punching bag and a training dummy near you, and you were going to lay into them eventually, so you ended up going over to the shelf nearest to the door and grabbing the tape you used to wrap your hands, before taking it out and slowly wrapping each fist. You weren't going to use gloves, you knew you needed a bit of pain to distract you from the thoughts you had been feeling since last nights breakdown.
After your hands were securely wrapped, you walked back over to the mats and bent over and touched your toes, making sure to stretch your body as hard as possible. You did this a few more times, followed by stretching your arms and your legs as well. You then dropped down effortlessly into the splits, and leaned forward so that your stomach was touching the ground and you were only being held up by your elbows.
You then got onto your knees, and ended up doing a balk walk over to get back up on your feet. Your body was finally warmed up enough to start working out, and you wandered over to the punching bag. You weren't aware of the two men watching you from the doorway as your music had been cranked, and Ran and Rindou would be damned to let you know all too soon that they had followed you down there.
You started with a series of combined punches, delivering jab after jab into the bag. Your mind was begging to cloud with intrusive thoughts, most being related to your husband. You were angry at Manjiro for not allowing you to have gone to Okinawa by now. You were worrying, thinking that the white haired male was right about Ren doing this on his own accord.
You should know your own husband, right? He would never be responsible for the things the Yakuza had done during his time with them, would he? Was he really being held against his will, or was it all an act? You shouldn't be questioning whether or not he's a good person.
After all, he did apologize to you genuinely after each bruise he gave you.
You hadn't realized that you had begun to cry yet again, and when you finally noticed it was because a few tears had dried to your cheeks, making them slightly itchy. You were angry at yourself for crying yet again - or more like the voice inside your head was chastising you for it, only it sounded more like your husbands and less like your own.
As your playlist came to an end, a certain song had filled the silence in your headphones, and you felt your heart aching in your chest. You finally stopped kicking and punching the bag when your eyes caught sight of a familiar hoodie in the corner of the room, and before you knew it your legs had carried you over to it, and you were kneeling down to grab the fabric in your hands.
It's still so soft, you thought to yourself as you brought the material up to your face, a soft sob escaping your mouth when you could still faintly smell the cologne your husband used to wear, on the front of the hoodie.
You dropped onto your knees, the melancholy melody filling your ears only added to your sadness, and you hugged the sweater to your chest as hard as you could before burying your head in the material once again and sobbing uncontrollably.
You had thought the sweater muffled your cries enough to not draw unwanted attention from the Haitani's, but you didn't know they had been watching you in awe this whole time, only feeling something indescribable creeping up in their chest as they watched you break down.
Ran and Rindou shared a look, both conflicted on as to what to do. Rindou especially had no idea, considering he was always the one being comforted by his brother whenever something had gone wrong. As the two contemplated their next course of action, Sarge whizzed by them and wasted no time in bounding over to you.
He nudged your neck with his wet snout, startling you a bit and making you jump. You took the earphones out of your ears just as the song had faded out, and you shoved them into your pockets before leaning your head to the side, letting it rest against Sarge's neck.
You weren't sure how long you had stayed like that, crying into your dogs fur before your sobs turned into pathetic little hiccups. You could hear the front door upstairs opening and closing, before Sarge took off to see who had waltzed into your house, but you already knew it was Manjiro and his men. You had exuded on getting up then, but a large, warm hand patted your head gently, making you jump yet again.
You hadn't known anyone was down here with you, so when you looked up to find the soft, mauve opals and fluffy purple mullet you had begun to grow accustomed to seeing in your everyday life, your eyes widened slightly and you brought your arm up to wipe your tears off your face while sniffling lightly.
"R-Rindou, I didn't know you were down here." You said, your voice dry and croaky - another dead giveaway that you were crying.
"Just came down." He lied, his face scanning yours. He didn't want to admit to himself, how beautiful he thought you were like this. Hair a mess, cheeks red and puffy, pretty eyes all glossy and puppy-like as you stared up at him from your kneeling position.
He had to remind himself that he was here to comfort you, that you weren't just another one of his nightly hookups.
"S-sorry. Didn't mean to be too loud." You said with a small laugh, before standing to your feet. You were exhausted to say the least, it had been a while since you worked out this vigorously and every muscle in your body was screaming at you to stop moving, but you couldn't. You didn't want a man you hardly knew, seeing you in such a vulnerable position, trying your hardest to forget about what happened last night.
"S'okay..." he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Ran drew you a nice hot bath, you should go soak for a bit and-"
"No!" You said suddenly, your loud tone made Rindou jump slightly.
"OKay then... you could relax on the couch with Sarge while I cook you something to-"
"N-no, I'm fine." You said, your dismissiveness was starting to get on his nerves, and without thinking he reached down and roughly grabbed your hands in his own, his fingers brushing over your busted up knuckles made you wince.
"What the hell, y/n! I'm trying to be nice here!" He shouted suddenly, his brows furrowing.
"Well just stop it! I didn't ask you to do that." You shouted back, on fuelling his anger even more when you tried to pull out of his iron grip.
"I-I know that! You don't have to be such a bitch, just accept the fucking help! Wouldn't kill you to make some fucking friends, it's pathetic being alone all the time!" He shouted again, his harsh words reverberated off the basement walls and filled your ears, making your mind twist every goddamn word.
He called me pathetic.
He called me pathetic because I'm alone..
Without thinking, you harshly tugged back on Rindou's hands, finally freeing yours, and you brought a hand up quickly, only to bring it down harshly across his cheek. His head whipped to the side, his eyes wide and his jaw slightly slack as he registered what you had just done to him.
"How dare you call me pathetic for being alone! You have no idea how fucking hard it is for me to befriend people. Just because you read my military file, doesn't mean you know fuck all about me or where the hell I come from. I'm not here to make friends, especially not with you. I'm here to find my husband - as are you. That's the only thing we have in common, and the only fucking thing we ever will have in common!" You were shouting so loud, you were sure that everyone upstairs could hear you, but you didn't care.
Rindou stood there silently, his own rage swimming around within him. He was mad at himself for even trying to comfort you. He wasn't one to get emotional, especially not over a woman, yet here he was about to lose his shit over you. However, he told himself that you were hurting, and that you needed to get things off your chest, so he sat there and took everything you gave him.
He decided in that moment, that he would always take anything and everything you gave him, and that thought alone irked him to no end because, who the hell were you to come into his life and challenge him like this? He had never had anybody stick up to him as they had all been afraid of him, or his brother more so, and he had always gotten everything the wanted.
Except for when it came to you.
He had his fists clenched into balls at his sides, and he had been biting his tongue harshly. He had considered walking away, but you had beat him to it when he heard you stomping past him, your tiny footfalls on the mats almost made him huff out a laugh.
You on the other hand, were seething as you stomped all the way back up the stairs. You made your way into the living room, and had planned on making a bee line for the stairs so you could go to your room, but Sanzu had stopped you by stepping up to you, a soft smirk on his scarred mouth.
"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" He asked, the nickname making your blood boil once again.
"Stop fucking calling me that! I'm so fucking sick of it! N-no, don't touch me!" You said, smacking Sanzu's hands away as he appeared to be trying to pull you into a hug. He stepped back, with furrowed brows and confusion written all over his pretty face as he stared down at you, the smile long gone.
He was dumbfounded, shocked even, at your harsh demeanour towards him. He had thought about you all day long while he was away with his gang, doing go knows what, and he was upset to see you were going back to giving him the cold shoulder. Had he not meant anything to you?
The only person to have ever even come remotely close to hugging him was Mikey, and that was almost twelve years ago. No one he had slept with wanted to hug him, hell, they weren't even allowed. You were the one and only exception, thinking that you had genuinely trusted him enough to hold you and talk you through your panic. Finding out that he had been wrong made him absolutely feral.
How could you just spit in his face after he went out of his way to make sure you were okay?
Without warning, Sanzu lunged forward and grabbed you by the front of your tank top, hoisting you off the ground with ease due to his strength. He had pulled you up to eye level, and it was terrifying to see the look in his azure irises. His pupils that were once dilated, had now nearly completely vanished as he glared at you, and you swallowed thickly.
You were scared, yet you weren't going to show it, so you matched his glare with one of your own. You and Sanzu stared each other down for a few moments, neither of you looking away, not even when Ran came down the stairs and saw the scene before him, a confused look on his face.
"What the hell Sanzu? What's going on?" He had asked, his velvety voice filling the silent room, making Sanzu scoff.
âListen here, you ungrateful bitch.â Sanzu spat at you, the ferocity of his words made you flinch and you felt anything you were about to say back to him, die in your throat.
âYouâve been getting on my nerves non-fucking-stop since the moment I laid eyes on you. Do you ever do anything aside from bitch? I swear to god the moment we find your husband, Iâll fucking kill him regardless of whether or not heâs innocent - just to see you finally break.â His words were accompanied by a sinister smile, and you felt a tremor run down your spine.
âSanzu. Let her go.â Manjiroâs cold, authoritative tone echoed through your living room, and you were aware of the eight pairs of eyes fixated on the scene before them.
The hands on the front of your shirt disappeared, causing you to fall to the ground. Your ass hit the hardwood first, and you had to bite back as yelp. You didnât want to give the pink haired psychopath the satisfaction of knowing he had hurt you, and as you got back up onto your feet, you barely managed to hold in a grimace as your entire body ached from being worked out.
âAre you okay y/n? What haââ Manjiro had started to ask as he stepped up to you, and you felt his hand on your shoulder. You immediately shrugged it off and looked at him with hatred pooling in your eyes.
âShut up! Just fuck off, Manjiro. Take your stupid men and just get the hell out of my life!â you shouted, watching his eyes widen the slightest bit at your demeanour towards him.
Stalking past him, and everybody elseâs who had been quick to move out of your way once they saw you were seething with rage. Ran had been watching idly, a neautral expression on his face though he felt bad for you.
He heard you and Rindou getting into it, and he watched Sanzu pick you up off the ground and shout at you. He was able to see you were shaking in his grasp, even now as you stomped up the stairs he could see that you were hardly holding it together. He wanted to follow you, to make sure you would be okay, but he had never been good at comforting people.
Upstairs, you had begun to pile clothing into a suitcase. Your mind was racing with everything that had been said to you today, and you couldnât help the way your eyes became blurry with tears.
Bitch, ungrateful, pathetic, LONELY⌠those words were playing over and over in your mind like a silent mantra, making your chest ache. You knew that Rindou and Sanzu were right about you, and you hated it. You hated that they sounded like your parents, you hated that you felt the same way you had when you were a troubled teen.
And you hated the fact that you were doubting your husbands morale.
After gearing up, you called for Sarge who had come from somewhere within your home, probably from hanging out with Rindou since he had seemed to take such a liking to him, and he walked down the stairs with you, and towards the front door.
You were irritated to see all the Bonten executives were still lounging in your living room, but you chose to blatantly ignore them as you walked past. Manjiro had even asked where you were going, as if forgetting the way you had screamed at him.
To Okinawa, you thought as you slipped out of the front door, and into the warm summer evening.

Three days later, and you found yourself wandering into the nightclub that was owned by the Haitani's. Manjiro was beside you, as he had been the one to convince you to come. As you walked, you found yourself tugging at the ends of your mini dress - the one that Manjiro had boughten for you as a 'gift' to commemorate your budding friendship.
To say it's been odd to have him by your side would be the understatement of the year. You were typically a quiet person, you always had been, and Manjiro used to be the more talkative of the two, but it seems he had changed more than just appearance wise as you both enjoyed each other's company in some small bouts of silence. The last day and a half it's been a little easier to speak to him since you've slowly started to come out of your shell, but only with him.
Everyone else you've given the cold shoulder to, especially the 'Bonten Trio,' as you had found out that was what the rest of Bonten called Sanzu and the Haitani's. The only one you seemed to not mind was Kakucho, but that was because he had never tried to force a conversation with you and instead opted to keep his distance.
"Oh my." Rindou said under his breath as he spotted you and Manjiro by the entrance of the club, making seven other heads turn to lock onto your figure.
Ran whistled lowly, and Sanzu nodded at Ran's response to seeing your curvy figure in such a revealing outfit. Sure you had worn leggings and a tank top around them, but you had never been so dolled up like this. The way your hips swayed as you walked had Rindou locked in a trance, and he didn't realize the death glare you were shooting him by the time you made it to the vip section.
"You're so fucking hot." Sanzu said from his spot behind the table, a couple of the men nodding in agreement. You were already nervous about feeling so exposed like this, and about being in a club with booming music that made your heart race as it triggered you slightly, and without thinking you stepped behind Manjiro.
"You're scaring her." Ran said, shifting in his spot and creating a space between him and his brother, patting the leather next to him as a sign that he had wanted you to sit down.
"Go sit down, okay?" Manjiro ordered, making you swallow thickly. You really didn't want be here, and you sure as hell didn't want to be beside the Haitani's, but you knew you couldn't disobey the head of Bonten so boldly.
So, you slowly walked over to Ran, who merely opened his legs and maneuvered them so you could get past him, but he ended up taking his time in moving his opposite leg once you were standing in between them, and you had your eyes trained on your heels as he moved, finally allowing you to sit down beside the two, purple haired men.
You made sure to keep quiet, your hands folded nervously in your lap as you tried to block out the thrumming bass that was wracking your entire body. You tried to focus on the conversation that everyone was immersed in, but you couldn't. Once Takeomi lit his lighter while bringing a cigarette to his lips, to found yourself jolting suddenly, your legs bumping both Ran and Rindou's and making them look down at you.
They could feel you trembling beside them as they had nearly sandwiched you in between the both of them. Rindou shared a knowing look with Ran, who simply nodded before reaching down and grabbing one of your hands in his own. You flinched from the heat of his touch, but you were so scared that you didn't bother to pull away.
"Come on, let's go dance." Rindou leant forward a bit so that he was now level with you ear, his hot breath fanned across your ear and neck as he spoke and he couldn't help but steal a glance at your cleavage from the new angle he had achieved from his close proximity, and you weren't able to scold him because you red face was turned as far away from him as it could be in order to hide your embarrassment.
You allowed Ran to pull you up from the leather of the booth, and pull you towards the stairs leading down to the dance floor. He wrapped one arm tentatively around your waist, and you were quick to shake it off with a shimmy of your hips, making Rindou stifle a snicker as he walked closely behind you two, his eyes never leaving the way the dress accentuated the curve of your ass.
"I can't dance." You said, leaning up on the tips of your toes to try and speak in Rans ear, and he merely chuckled.
"You don't have to, we can just go to the bar." He said, and you nodded quickly, grateful for him and Rindou taking you out of that situation, but you couldn't help but feel embarrassed at the same time.
You knew that all of Bonten read your file, meaning that they knew you had been through a lot during your time in the military. Of course not every detail of your life was on there, but it was still enough to make you feel as if the two men were pitying you right now.
"Oh hey, I know you." The bartender said, making you look up from where you were looking at the way Ran's large hand entirely cover yours, to see the bartender you had flirted with the night you first set your sights on the Bonten men.
"H-hi." You said, still feeling anxious over a plethora of things.
"Martini, right? Extra dry?" He asked you, and you gave him a small smile.
"Yes please." You said, thankful that you didn't have to talk to him again.
"Oh? You guys must be pretty close if he knows your order like that." Rindou said, his voice dangerously close to you ear, making you jump slightly and look up at him with wide eyes.
"Huh? W-what? No. I've only been here a few times andâ" you were cut off by the sound of a glass sliding across the wooden bar top towards you.
"Glad to see you've finally worked up enough courage to talk to them." He said with a wink. "I like a girl who's confident."
His comment made you flush a deep red colour, and your jaw dropped slightly in shock. You could feel Ran and Rindou boring holes into the sides of your head, and you quickly reached out to take your drink from the counter.
"Seems like you like a woman who's married as well." Ran said, irritation evident in his tone as he picked up the other hand that wasn't holding your drink, to show off the wedding band and engagement ring you always wore, making you almost spit out the drink you had taken a sip of.
"I-im sorry sir. It's just that she's been here a lot over the last month to watch you guys from a afar... I figured she was in an open relationship or something." The bartender said, despite the fact that you were shooting him a glare that clearly told him to shut the fuck up.
"No, she's just really into role play. You know, the type of hot, mysterious stranger you meet at a bar and take home for the fuck of their life. You should hear her, she screams my name so loâ"
"Enough!" You shouted, cutting off Rindou who was was smirking devilishly at your flushed face. You were about to open your mouth to tell everyone off, when the song blaring through the speakers had come to an end, and a new one began.
You weren't sure who decided to put an air raid siren in the beginning of an EDM song, but you were seriously considering finding him and ending his bloodline, when your mind began to take you on an awful trip down memory lane.
Instead of seeing the bartender and the Haitani's, all you could see was a barren desert full of soldiers, dropping like flies when an aircraft patrol flew overhead. Instead of hearing Ran and Rindou's boisterous laughter at your reaction from Rindou's lewd comment, you could only hear the screams of the soldiers filling your ears.
"Make it stop!" You screamed, reaching up to cover your ears with your hands as you ducked down into a fetal position, making several heads turn to look at you as some people had heard you over the song.
"Y/n?" Ran called out to you, sharing a concerned look with his brother before he bent down to put a hand on your shoulder and he knew that you were stuck inside your own mind when you made no effort to shake him off.
"What the hell happened?" Manjiro asked as he frantically ran up to you, the rest of Bonten following suit to find your body rocking back and forth while you cried into your knees.
"I don't know, I really don't know." Ran said, and immediately Rindou felt guilty.
"I made a... lewd comment and she seemed like her usual, angry self for like thirty seconds and then she just started freaking out." Rindou said, trying to keep his tone neutral even though the thought of him making you feel like this made his chest tighten slightly, and he was irritated that someone other than his brother was able to make him feel that way.
Just then, another air raid siren came up again in the song, and you screamed loudly into your knees which had only managed to muffle the sound, and almost immediately everybody knew what had triggered your sudden wave of ptsd
"She needs to get out of here." Kakucho said, stepping forward to hopefully see if you would let him help you to your feet, but someone had beat him to it.
"Sweetheart, it's Sanzu." The pink haired male said, stepping up to you before squatting down in front you. He was hoping that the nickname he used to irritate you would help him break through the thick walls of your mind.
All of the Bonten men were astonished at their comrades behaviour, as Sanzu was never interested in helping anybody but himself, or Mikey. He was selfish, manic, and just down right a horrible man who lived to hear the screams of others.
Yet yours didn't sit right with him.
"You're not back there, it's not real." He said, coming closer to you and reaching out to gently place a large warm palm on your knee cap, where he gently stroked your silky smooth skin with his thumb.
You could faintly hear him over the sounds of the gunfire and sirens echoing loudly in your mind, and as you walked through the battle field in search of the source of his voice, you could slowly see everything beginning to blur.
"S-Sanzu." You whimpered, though in your mind you were screaming his name in hopes he would come and save you from the chaos happening around you.
"M'right here." He said, moving his hand from your knee, to your shoulder and giving you a small squeeze of reassurance.
You had felt the squeeze and you whimpered slightly. You were trying your hardest to differentiate the past from the present, though the sounds in your mind seemingly weren't going to die down anytime soon. Without realizing it you leant forward, until your chin rested on Sanzu's shoulder.
He hasn't expected for you to do such a thing, and he tensed up immediately as he wasn't used to such intimate contact. He made sure every woman he slept with always faced the other way, and he never stuck around afterwards for the awkward cuddling and talking stage.
He snapped out of his little trance when another siren sounded in the song, making you choke out a sob into the crook of his neck as you were desperately trying to hide away from the noise. He knew you needed to get out of here, so he grabbed both your hands and wrapped them around his neck, before grabbing you by the waist and lifting you up into his arms.
You subconsciously wrapped your legs around his waist, and he had to fight off the lewd images he had in his mind when he felt your chest pressing against his. He made sure to keep his hands on your waist, knowing full well that if he had touched the bare skin on the back of your thighs, that he would have a hard time controlling himself.
"Someone get the car." Was all he said to his comrades before he walked you right out the front doors of the nightclub, and into the warm summer evening. He made sure to walk you a little further down the street so that you didn't have to hear the music anymore, and soon the only sounds were the few vehicles that passed by every so often.
"Listen, sweetheart. You hear that now? It's just the cars passing, no more music. You're safe." Sanzu said, completely astonished as to how comforting you came so easy to him.
He thought he hated you. To him, you were just as fucked up as the men he surrounded himself with, and he hated it. He hated that you knew Mikey, and that you two seemed so close despite the fact that nobody fully trusted you yet.
"She okay?" Rindou asked, concern filling his tone as he came and stepped up beside you two.
"No, she's still stuck in her own head. She won't stop shaking, I don't know how else to help her. I- I haven't had an episode in so long... this feels so new to me." The pink haired male admitted, trying his hardest not to think about the diamond shaped scars on his cheeks.
"Her dog laid on top of her the last time she freaked out, remember?" Rindou commented, remembering how you kept chanting the words 'not again,' after he and his brother had teased you.
"Like a blanket." Ran said, coming up and standing on the other side of you and Sanzu.
You could vaguely hear their conversation and you were trying so hard to focus on that rather than the booming sounds of explosions and gunfire somewhere off in the distance in your mind. It wasn't until you felt something being draped over you, that you began to feel the slightest bit better.
"Here, take mine too." Rindou offered, shrugging out of his jacket before he climbed in on the left side of the vehicle, and Ran got in on the right after taking off his suit jacket and putting it over you.
Sanzu was quick to pull both suit jackets over your head, engulfing you in darkness and the intoxicating scent of the spiced cologne all three men had been wearing tonight. Your head moved away from Sanzu's neck, to lay on his chest where the sound of his rapid beating heart had broken its way through your nightmare-like state, almost like it was a bright light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.
A way out.
"M'sorry." You mumbled out after what felt like hours of being trapped in your own head, and Sanzu was quick to pull the jackets upwards off your head and peer down to see you looking up at him with teary eyes.
"S'fine. Things happen." He said, trying his best to be dismissive so that he didn't give away how enamoured he was by your soft expression.
"Welcome back, y/n." Mikey' said from somewhere in the vehicle, but you stayed silent.
You wanted to get off Sanzu's body, feeling incredibly embarrassed at the fact that you had ended up in such a compromising position. You could suddenly feel the weight of the wedding ring on your finger, and you were mortified at the fact that you were in another man's arms while you presumably had a husband somewhere in Okinawa.
But you weren't going to move away from his embrace anytime soon, because this felt all too real for you, and realness was exactly what you needed in times where you were in your most vulnerable state.
You eyelids grew heavier the longer you stayed in the car, the gentle swaying of the large vehicle was enough to make your eyelids grow heavy, and you let out a soft sigh as you started to doze off. The last thing you remember was a hand on the back of your head, pushing you down into Sanzu's chest.

They had been at this all night after they had taken you back to Bonten's headquarters. Each time you caved in and finally fell asleep, you would be harshly jerked awake while they claimed it was dangerous for someone with a concussion to fall asleep.
"Nooo, I'm fine just let me sleep." You mumbled out, closing your eyes let again and letting your head slump forward in the comfortable chair you had been sitting in.
"Child." Rindou muttered, before stepping forward and roughly grabbing your chin between his thumb and index finger before jerking your head up and forcing you to look at him through your half lidded eyes.
He didn't want to admit it, but your soft expression made something in the pit of his stomach burn and he felt the tips of his ears growing hot.
"Stay the fuck awake. You won't be told again." He threatened, making you swallow thickly but give a small nod in acknowledgment. However, Rindou didn't let go of your chin he only squished it a little harder making your lips pucker the slightest bit and you watched as his eyes dropped down to survey your lips before looking back up into your eyes.
When he leaned closer to you, the tip of his tongue darted out to wet his lips and you found yourself fixating on it. Thankfully, you managed to snap your gaze back up to his mauve opals and you kicked your foot out harshly, heel digging into his gut which made him keel over while stumbling back a few feet.
Sanzu snickered, whilst Ran looked like he wanted to murder you. Rindou looked up from the ground to meet your eyes once again, and a eerie smile crept onto his pretty pink lips, making your face heat up even more than it already had from your close proximity.
"Yup," he rasped out. "She's totally fine." You smirked cockily in response.
"Takin' one for the team, eh?" An unfamiliar voice resonated from the doorway to the lounge you had been placed in, and you looked away from Rindou to see five unfamiliar men entering the room. You realized the shortest one of the group had spoken, and you had taken note of the dark eye abs underneath his obsidian coloured eyes.
Those eyes, they look familiar, you thought, yet you couldn't quite place where you knew him from.
When the five of them wandered further into the room and closer to you, you panicked. Sanzu watched the way you tensed up, and he slowly crept towards you, being so careful as to not startle you before he could reach you.
"Don't come any closer." You warned, your hands clenched into fists at your sides and your wide eyes scanned the men in the room, you head whipping to any single one of them who dared to make a move in your direction.
"Now now, that's not what we want from our friends, is it?" The short, white haired male said stepping even closer to you. Just as you were about to jump out of the chair, you felt your arms being pulled painfully behind your back by Sanzu, being held in one place at the small of your back while the other hand held the cold metal barrel of a gun against your skull.
"Make one more move at our boss and I'll you, sweetheart." He whispered lowly into your ear, his hot breath fanning around the shell of it sent a shiver down your spine.
"Relax, y/n. He doesn't have to make good on his promise." Their boss said, taking another step so that he was less than a foot away.
"Get. The. Fuck. Away. From. Me." You spat, your eyes burning into his. Given the situation you were shaking, but at this point you weren't sure if it was out of anger at the trio for bringing you here, or out of fear for being trapped in a room with the only escaped being blocked by eight, largely intimidating men.
Men who kill for fun.
"Wow, it's crazy to see how much you've changed since middle school. Tell me, do you still like the arts?" He asked, making your brows knit in confusion.
How does he know that? How does he know me?
"Oh relax, don't look so surprised. I figured you wouldn't recognize me without my long hair ... or with Kenny by my side." He said, the name he dropped sounded oddly familiar and the more and more you wracked your brain for an answer, the more confused you became.
"Okay?" You said, still confused on as to who this man was in front of you.
"You really don't remember?" He asked with a soft smile on his face, and you shook your head.
Am I supposed to remember?
"Told you she's dense." Sanzu said, and you tried to turn in your chair to punch him, but he only tightened his hold even more.
"Careful Sanzu, the last person who called her names got pushed down the stairs at seventh elementary." He said, making your eyes widen in shock.
No, there's no way he knows that. The only person who witnessed it wasâ
"M-Manjiro?" You said, disbelief evident in your tone, his smile only widened.
"The one and only." He said, stretching his arms out in front of him as if showcasing himself to you, and you couldn't help but cock a brow at him.
"You've changed." You commented, noting how he's lost almost the entirety of his baby face and boyish charm. To be honest, he looked horrible. Bags under his eyes were darker than your soul, and a scream body you weren't quite sure as to how he even kept himself standing.
"As have you. You don't look so... nerdy anymore. Where are your glasses?" He asked, completely ignoring the fact that you were still being held against your will by Bonten's number two.
"You kinda need twenty-twenty vision to operate a sniper rifle." You said, making the male crack a smile.
"Speaking of... I've read your file." He said, making any and all traces of hope leave your system immediately, and your face went pale white.
"Considering what's happened to you, and considering how Ren would treat you, I'm shocked you event want to find him." Manjiro said, making your eyes narrow into a glare.
"I'm fine. Ren treated me fiâ" Before that statement could leave your mouth, Manjiro's hand shot out and grabbed your chin harshly in the same manner that Rindou had done moments ago, only this time you could tell that this man wasn't trying to be flirty by the way his eyes bored into mine.
"You were right, I have changed, y/n. So much so that I fucking get Sanzu to kill the people who lie to us and betray our gang, my gang. If you're going to want our help then I suggest you be honest with every man in this room whenever they have a question for you. Understood?" He asked, and his grip softened as he felt you trying to nod. His face had gone back to its neutral expression, while yours was still full of shock and confusion.
"Now, why would you even want someone like Ren alive? Do you realize he's been the one behind the explosions, robberies and mugging that have killed nearly a thousand innocent people?" Manjiro asked, making you shake your head.
"N-no. Ren would never do that." You insisted. "He's probably being held against his will andâ"
"You're still as naive as ever." Manjiro said with a sigh, making your blood boil once again.
"Who are you to tell me what I am!?" You shouted, surging forward though your attempt was stopped once again by Sanzu, and you screeched angrily.
"Your friend, y/n. That's what friends do, we help each other with our flaws. Yours has always been the fact that you try to see the good in people - no matter how many times they lay their hands on you." He said casually, and you knew he was referring to more than just your husband, who was your boyfriend at the time he witnessed Ren slap you.
"Shut up! I- it's in the past. Forgiven. Let it go." You shouted, making the white haired male roll his eyes.
"Forgiven, huh? Would you forgive him for faking his death and trying to take your life from you?" He asked, making you hum out a confused noise.
What the hell is going on about? Ren would never.
"You make no sense." You responded, running out of words to say as you kept growing more and more confused.
"Y/n... do you really think that he's been alive for the last three years? Take it from criminals like us, Ren would have been dead within days of being captured. He's running the show in that yakuza." He replied, making you gasp quietly.
N-no. There's no way... there's no way?
"I know it's... harsh. I also know that you intend to find him, keep him alive, and be on your merry way back to the life you lived prior to your last deployment. But you need to know, that my only goal is to find and kill Ren Saito." He concluded.
"I can't let you do that." You said, your voice hardly above a whisper as you let the truth of Manjiroâs words sink in.
âThen youâll have to die.â He said softly, bringing a hand up to your face. You immediately flinched and screwed your eyes shut as you had expected a slap, but when you felt his warm palm pressing against your cheek, you opened your eyes to find yourself staring into his charcoal irises.
No one has ever been this gentle while touching me, you thought sadly. Is he trying to make me comfortable before Sanzu pulls the trigger?
âYou understand that, donât you? Itâs nothing personal, y/n. Itâs just how the underworld works. But donât worry, Iâll make sure youâre nice and comfortable. Itâll be over before you know it. I wonât let my friend suffer.â
Thereâs that word again, that damn word that makes your heart clench in your chest. You hate to admit it, but Manjiro was the only other person besides Ren who had been kind to you. You liked to block out the times where Ren would be mad at you for hanging out with Manjiro at school, the repercussions of your actions usually resulting in a harsh string of curses and insults, or even a few slaps here and there
But Manjiro had never hurt me, even now. Heâs not going to be the one to do it.
âWhatcha thinking about at a time like this?â He asked, his thumb gently stroking a single tear off your cheeks.
You hadnât realized you had begun to cry.
âYou always were the kindest person, Manjiro. Thank you for not treating me the way everyone else did.â You said softly, and as if by some miracle Sanzu had let your hands go, and you slowly brought one hand up to gently wrap around the white haired males wrist, leaning your head even harder into his touch.
You knew that you should have been terrified. You were about to die, yet you couldnât help but feel relieved at the cold, metal promise being held against your temple. You were so tired of fighting for every single thing youâve ever had in your life, only for it to end up being subpar to the way you actually wanted it to be. You knew you werenât happy, even before your deployment. Sure Ren was nice enough to take pity on you, but he never let you forget that he was with you solely based out of pity.
You were ready to rest peacefully, unplagued by your ghoulish nightmares of your past. You were ready to see what laid beyond the white flash of light you had once seen on your death bed overseas, hoping that maybe your unborn child had been growing up and watching over you. You wondered if maybe they would have been your saving grace from the horrid world youâve been living in for the last twenty eight years.
âDonât thank me, silly girl. You deserve peace too, we all do. Now come with me, I want to show you something.â He said, grabbing the hand that was holding his wrist and pulling you up from the chair.
âSanzu, you come too.â He commanded, before pulling you through the lounge and past the men who were watching you with unreadable expressions.
You werenât sure how a concussion after trying to prove yourself to Bonten, was resulting in your inevitable death, but you werenât complaining. There was a lot you hadnât done, but there was so much you had wanted to escape all the same. It was like a sad, yet perfect balance.
You followed along behind Manjiro in silence as he led you through what seemed to be a mansion. You could heard the soles of Sanzuâs dress shoes clacking on the marble floor behind you, though you chose not to look back at him.
When you walked into a room that had been block by two large, double doors, you looked around in awe at the large wooden table where eight, comfortable looking chairs were placed around. As Manjiro walked you to a door on the far side of the room, your eyes flitted over a white board full of pictures from what looked like CCTV captures.
âW-wait.â You said softly, making Manjiro stop in his tracks. You hesitantly pulled back on his wrist, trying to let him know you werenât planning on escaping, and to your relief he let you go and you slowly waltzed over to the board while he watched you curiously.
You were met by seven different photos of your husband, seemingly after committing horrible crimes as he was covered in a dark liquid. You examined each and every one, finding him making odd gestures with his hands in each one, though no one gesture was the same.
Oh my god, you thought as you reached up to grab a picture from the board. You looked at the date of this one, before looking at the dates of the other ones, and a sudden idea popped into your head.
âWhat the fuck? Do you really think itâs wise to waste the bossâs time like this?â Sanzu asked, irritation lacing his tone as he began to stalk over to you, yet Manjiro was quick to stop it by putting an arm out across Sanzuâs chest, a silent order to stop him from disrupting you.
Your mind had blocked out the two men, you hadnât even noticed that they had come up behind you to watch what you were doing. After you had carefully placed all pictures in the correct order going by the date, you took a step back, pressing your back right against Sanzu and you squeaked and tried to jump forward, but he wrapped an arm around your waist, making your face heat up and your body shiver. Normally you would have turned around and slapped somebody for touching you so intimately, but you ignored it in favour of reading the message splayed out in front of you.
âOkinawa.â You said quietly, looking back and forth between the pictures to make sure what you were reading was right.
âWhatâs wrong with Okinawa?â Manjiro asked, turning to look at you.
âDuring our deployment, we needed a way to communicate with one and other without using our words incase we got caught up in a hostage situation. Ren and I⌠we learned American Sign Language, which is what heâs doing in the pictures.â You explained, making the white haired male hum in amusement as he looked back at the pictures.
âWhatâs in Okinawa?â He asked, and you sighed.
âWe had our honeymoon there, at his familyâs estate butâ oh my god. Manjiro⌠heâs trying to send a message t-to⌠me. I- I told you he wasnât doing this on his own free will, this is a call for help.â You said excitedly, looking over to see the white haired male looking back at you, and you winced when you felt Sanzuâs fingers dig harder into your hips and you squirmed trying to get free from his grasp now that youâve solved the mystery.
âSanzu, donât be a pig. Let her go.â Manjiro ordered with a huff, making Sanzu laugh while he took his arms out from around you, and you felt yourself visibly relaxing.
âYou really are a little nerd.â Sanzu muttered, making you finally look back at him with a glare.
âI think that maybe you will prove yourself to be useful to us in finding Ren.â Manjiro mused, making your eyebrows knit together in confusion.
So heâs not going to kill me?
âMikey, you canât be serious.â Sanzu groaned, making the both of you glare at him, making him shut his mouth.
âOh, but I am. You seem to be the only one who can figure out a simple message like this, my men and I have been looking at these for months and we havenât been able to get any closer to finding that Yakuza. Plus⌠you saved three of my men when I know damn well you didnât have to and I guess I should have taken that into consideration before forcing you to die tonight.â He said, his eyes that were cast at the ground had now trailed up your body to meet your own.
âSo, Iâll let you live for now. Iâll let you have the satisfaction of finding your husband, getting the answers that I know you so desperately want and give you a chance to try and⌠âlive a little,â while you still have time to. If youâre right about Ren not doing this on his own accord, maybe Iâll let you live.â
âM-Manjiro Iââ you started to say, but you were silenced by a harsh glare from the male that had you swallowing thickly.
âBut if youâre wrong, Iâll put a bullet through both of your skulls.â

âY-you want me to r-rob a bank?â You asked in disbelief, your eyes scanning between the three men leaning against the kitchen island across from you.
In all honesty, you just wanted your husband back. You figured there was no way he was in any decent state considering how long he's been pronounced dead for, and you knew that every second you waisted was vital time that you could be losing to get your husband back.
"Did we stutter?" Rindou asked, making you shoot him a glare.
"Shut the fuck up, bowl cut." You said, and you could have sworn you saw the tick marks forming on his head as his brother and Sanzu snorted at his expense.
"Bowl cut?" He said through gritted teeth, making you lift the one side of your lips into a lopsided grin.
"Did I stutter?" You repeated his words back to him, and you could see him inching for his gun.
Do it, you thought. Put me out of my fucking misery.
"Moving on," Sanzu said, making your glare leave the seething Haitani to focus on Sanzu's cerulean eyes. "Yes, we want you to rob a bank."
"Do you fucking realize that my face is literally inputted into every single database out there? I'm not doing it." You said, crossing your arms over your chest.
You weren't aware, painfully oblivious actually, to the way three sets of eyes travelled down to your cleavage that had been accentuated from the way you had pushed your chest upwards with your arms, and all three men had to quickly regain their composure before you noticed.
They didn't want to admit it, but you lowkey terrified them.
"You're gonna do it, or we'll find Saito without you." Ran said, making you sigh in frustration.
"I don't know the first fucking thing about robbing banks. Instead of fucking around and killing people for fun, I was serving our fucking country and others, to protect them from people like you." You spat, trying to put as much venom on the words as you possibly could.
"Like us? Damn sweetheart, I'm offended that you think there are people out there who can even compare to us." Sanzu retorted, making you scoff in disgust.
"If you can't do this, then the deals off. We'll kill him," Ran said, nodding his head in the direction of the sliding glass doors that led into the backyard where you could see Sarge watching the four of your intently. "While you watch and then we'll kill you."
You knew damn well you wouldn't be able to survive watching someone else you care about, being ripped away before your very eyes. You sighed, signalling that you were willing to comply with the three men watching you cautiously.
"F-fine." You grumbled out, before walking over to the door and letting Sarge come into the house where he quickly took his spot between your legs and made sure to cautiously walk in between them as you made you way through the kitchen.
"Uh, where do you think you're going, Princess?" Ran asked, making you shudder at the nickname he had used for you.
"To change, dipshit." You called out over your shoulder, making Rindou and Sanzu laugh at Ran's annoyed expression.
If you had stuck around in the kitchen any longer you would have heard the three of them talking about how you really didn't need to change because they liked the view that your tank top provided them.
As you made your way into your room, you were quick to head to your closet and pull out a black, long sleeved shirt, and black leggings. You kicked off your sweat pants and tossed your tank top into the corner of the room, before pulling the new articles of clothing over your body.
As you wandered back down the stairs, you threw your hair up into a ponytail. Just as you had come into the foyer you could see Ran, Rindou and Sanzu observing the small shrine on the shelf, and you felt your chest ache slightly.
"What's the tiny one for?" Sanzu asked, picking up the small purple urn and turning it over in his hands. The three men were now looking at you expectantly, and your one hand subconsciously flew to the scar on your abdomen.
"Uh... t-that was... never mind. Can we just go?" You asked, your cocky demeanour immediately vanished as you tried not to think about the empty urn that served as a physical memory of the unborn child you had lost.
"No. I asked you a question, I expect you to answer it." Sanzu persisted, setting the urn back down and looking up at you. Once he saw the glossiness of your eyes, he almost regretted his decision.
"I-if you want me to rob this fucking bank, i n-need to keep my head clear." You said, making him huff out an agreement.
"Let's go then." He grumbled, and you pressed yourself tightly against the wall as he walked towards you, and you had nearly let out a sigh of relief when he walked right past you until you realized the Haitani's were waiting for you to go before them.
"Ladies first." Rindou said, making you scoff.
"Go on then." You said, making him groan in frustration before stomping past you like a toddler, but not before bumping into your shoulder harshly.
You followed suit, before climbing into a large black suv. You made sure to press yourself against the door as Ran sat in the back beside you, his lanky legs taking up so much room because of course, he just had to manspread.
Lanky ass motherfucker.
"Why the hell is he driving?" Rindou complained from the front seat, making Sanzu scoff as he took another sharp turn.
Throughout the drive you've noticed both the Haitani's on edge, gripping onto the handles above their doors while shooting glares at the back and sides of Sanzu's head.
"I was the first one out here, assholes." Sanzu replied, looking into the rear view mirror to lock eyes with you before you quickly looked away. "Besides, she's not complaining."
"Yeah, why are you not offended by this? He drives like a fucking moron." Ran asked, and you could see him turning to look at you out of the corner of your eye whilst Rindou turned around in his seat to glare at you.
"Driving DPV's in the desert is a thousand times worse than this." You commented, before looking out the window beside you while you tried to ignore their stares at the same time trying not to think about the past.
Clear your head, you told yourself. You're gonna need to focus to get this task done.
You were content with watching the busy nightlife of Roppongi fly past you out the window as you could periodically feel the men in the vehicle looking at you. It wasn't that you were overly terrified, you just didn't want to admit that your chest was racing over the fact that you were suck in such an confined space with the three hottest men you had ever seen.
"We're here." Sanzu said, pulling the car into a back alleyway behind the bank known as Voyager Inc.
How the fuck am I supposed to do this? It's fucking three in the morning. The doors are locked. If I so much as bust a window every single officer in Tokyo will be here in minutes, you were panicking as you thought of every possible scenario that could occur.
"Oi, get your head out of the fucking clouds and get the fuck in there." Rindou snapped, breaking you from your thoughts.
"There's no fucking way that this is going to work." You grumbled, getting out of the car. You had a feeling that they weren't going to provide you with a weapon, so you had your beretta tucked into the waist band of your leggings.
"It better work, or you're as good as dead." Sanzu said, making you sigh once your feet hit the pavement.
Unbeknownst to the four of you, you had been followed all the way from your home, to here. The moment you closed the door over after muttering about how much of a prick the pink haired male was, you were immediately pushed against the car.
"Nobody fucking move." A deep male voice commanded, and you turned your head to the side to see the door that Ran had opened was being kicked shut by a male dressed in black on the opposite side.
What the fuck?
"Your husbands gonna be delighted to know that you've been slumming it with Bonten." The unfamiliar male said, bringing your attention back to him. You saw him sneering at you, and your wide eyes quickly narrowed into a glare.
"Let go of me." You said lowly, your voice cold.
How the fuck do they know Ren? Do they have him!?
"No can do sweet cheeks. You're coming with us." He said, pulling you forward and nearly dragging you off your feet entirely due to his brute force. He was extremely tall and probably double your weight and you were sure it was definitely all muscle.
Like hell I am, you thought before bringing up your left leg and landing a kick into the side of the males temple
You watched as he fell to the ground, rendered unconscious by your fatal blow. However, you could see the two other men racing towards you. You were thankful they had left the men in the vehicle alone, you knew that without them your chances of finding Ren were slim to none.
"You're gonna regret that, bitch." One of the two men spoke, making you smirk.
"I highly doubt that." You said in a bored tone, making both men scoffed.
"You're a cocky little thing."
"The only little things here are between your legs." You shot back, and it was all that was needed for both of them to lunge at you.
Thankfully, you were quicker than the both of them and you managed to back out of the way. You did a back walk over, kicking your feet above you as hard as you could. You felt your foot collide with one of their chins, making the sound of his teeth clashing against each other resonate through the alleyway.
"Gotcha." The other male said, grabbing your arms and pulling them painfully behind your back before you had time to react.
Why aren't they helping me? There's no one pointing a gun at them anymore? You wondered as your gaze flickered back and forth between the heavily tinted windows, and the two men on the ground, when it suddenly hit you.
You weren't mean to actually rob the bank, you were here to prove that you were worth keeping around. You wondered that if you could handle the three of these assholes, if that meant you would pass their test.
You quickly brought your head back, slamming into the males face as hard as you could. You heard a sickening crunch fill the alleyway. The man was quick to let go of you as he cried in pain, and you spun around in time to see him bringing his hand up to clutch the broken and bloodied cartilage.
You waisted no time in throwing a punch at him, catching his cheek and making him stumble backwards quite a bit. You heard the male on the ground behind you getting up, so you spun around and kicked him harshly in the face, making him slump back down onto the ground
Fuck, they keep getting up. I don't think they're going to stop until I kill them.
You weren't sure if that's what the Bonten men wanted from you, and you were afraid that if you didn't meet their standards you would have to kiss all hopes of finding Ren, goodbye.
As you heard the male who's nose you broke beginning to run at you, you whipped your beretta out of your waist and and emptied two bullets into his chest. You tried not to grimace when his blood spattered across your face, and you quickly spun around when you heard the sound of gravel crunching beneath someone's feet.
"You fucking cunt!" The first male that you had knocked out with a kick to his temple was charging at you. He managed to tackle you to the ground, your gun flying through the air and landing a few feet away from you.
Your head hit the ground harshly, making you grunt in pain. Your vision was dark around the edges from the severity of the hit, though you managed to thrash around underneath the man. You were able to deliver a harsh stomp on the manâs abdomen, sending him flying off of you and you rolled onto your stomach to crawl towards your gun.
The moment your fingers wrapped around the barrel, you spun it around in your hands before sitting up and firing another round of shots at the male who you had kicked, his body slumping harshly onto the ground.
When you got to your feet, you could hear the doors of the suv opening and closing. Your vision was still blurred, and quite frankly you thought you were seeing double when you looked up to find Ran, Sanzu and Rindou walking towards you. At the same time, you saw the third male who had attacked you trying to quietly crawl away from you, and you didnât hesitate to put a bullet in the back of his head.
âWell done Princess.â Ranâs velvety voice reached your ears, though it seemed to have an echo as if he were at the end of a long tunnel a opposed to the few steps away he really was.
Somethings wrong, you thought. My head.
âHelp.â You whispered, making Ranâs brows knit in confusion.
âHuh?â He asked, unable to make out the incoherent word you hand mumbled.
âGuys, I think somethings wrong with her. Sheâs bleeding.â Rindou said, taking a few steps towards you.
It startled you, and you tried to take a step back but you fumbled and had begun to fall backwards. Rindou had lunged forward, wrapping one arm around your waist and one arm around the top of your shoulders to hold your body in place and he noticed you were beginning to grow limp.
âWhere are you- oh shit your head.â He mumbled to himself, a large palm coming up and pressing against the back of your head making you hiss in pain.
âShe might have a concussion. We need to take her to headquarters.â Ran said.
âAbsolutely not. She may have passed this test, but I donât trust her anywhere near Mikey.â Sanzu said through gritted teeth, and you could have sworn you heard Rindou sighing.
âSanzu. If she doesnât get treated she will die.â Ran said, his violet irises boring into Sanzuâs azure ones for a few moments before Sanzu blinked and sighed.
âFine. But I swear to god if she gets any blood on my seat, Iâll fucking kill her myself.â The pink haired male said, and that was all that Rindou needed to hear before scooping you up and into his arms.
You wanted to protest, and you were certain that you did by the way your incoherent mumbles filled the air. You werenât sure if it was the warmth from Rindou, mixing in with his scent of cinnamon and spiced vanilla, or the fact that you might have a severe concussion, but your body had nearly completely relaxed and melted into his by the time you registered you were back in the vehicle, still in the purple haired males lap.
The entire ride you could hear Sanzu complaining about how bringing you back with them could be a dangerous thing, especially considering Mikey was the one who had ordered them to test you. All you could manage to think was:
Who the fuck is Mikey?

The warmth of the sun rays tricking in through the window had woken you from your slumber. You slowly cracked one eye open to see a familiar, furry black ear and you quickly bolted up in bed. Your entire body ached and you huffed out a groan, making Sarge look back at you expectantly, his tail wagging swiftly.
Your eyes scanned around the familiar scene of your bedroom, looking for your other dog and feeling genuinely confused on as to how you got here, when the events of the previous night came flooding back into your mind and before you could stop it, you felt your eyes welling up with tears and you choked out a sob that you had manage to cover with the back of your hand.
He doesn't know about Lina. Wait, how the hell did I get back home? You wondered, blinking harshly to try and clear the tears blurring your eyes and you nearly shrieked when you saw a man sitting in the old rocking chair in the corner of your room.
You brought your hands up to clear the tears from your eyes, rubbing harshly in hopes that the figure you saw was just a figment of your imagination. But once the tears cleared along with the little black dots that appeared in your vision from rubbing too hard, your entire soul left your body when you realized it was Rindou Haitani.
He's sleeping? How come Sarge hasn't alerted me? You wondered, your body trembling slightly as you slowly shifted around in the bed. You gently swung your legs off the bed, praying that the cold hardwood beneath your feet wouldn't creak once your full weight was on it, and thankfully it didn't.
You looked at the door that was slightly closed over, revealing a tiny sliver of sight into the hallway. You wondered if there were more of them out there. Sarge was acting like a domesticated dog and not the fully trained canine unit that he was, and that thought alone was throwing you off.
Had they done something to him? I know he's been acting weird since he disappeared on me the first time at the plant, but this is just unreal. He's... different.
Maybe he can sense Lina's not with us anymore.
That thought had tears springing to your eyes again, and you forced yourself to push the emotions into the back of your mind as you slowly crept up to the doorway. Your eyes stayed trained on the younger Haitani, and you couldn't help but think about how peacefully beautiful he looks when he's asleep.
Shaking your head to clear that thought as well, your hand reached for the door handle. You were about to push the door open when it suddenly swung open on its own, revealing two other men you had hoped to never see again in your life, and all the colour drained from your face.
"What's the matter, sweetheart? Cat got your tongue?" The teasing tone in Sanzu's voice made a fit of anger bubble up within you, and before you could stop yourself you threw a right hook to the side of his face.
He stumbled backwards with a grunt, while you cried out at the pain that radiated from the top of your wrist, all the way down to your elbow. Your opposite hand reached up to cradle your arm at the same time someone grabbed you by the collar of your shirt, lifting you off the ground with ease, making you squeak in protest.
"You're a feisty little thing." Ran Haitani's voice was smooth, yet the coldness of his tone made an involuntary shiver run down your spine. You brought your hands up to grasp at his singular hand holding you off the ground, though clawing at it proved to be futile when he scoffed in your face.
"Put me down." You ordered, your commanding tone was most certainly forced and he could tell that you were terrified by the way your body trembled in his grasp.
"Kay." He said, before walking you over to your bed and harshly throwing you down on top of it. You heard Sarge's low growling hit your ear when you landed beside him, and you looked over to see him taking a defensive stance, the hair on his back standing at attention and his canines on full display
That's my boy, you thought. You went to open your mouth to tell him to guard, but you saw Sanzu whipping out a glock and aiming right for your dog.
"The next words outta your pretty little mouth better be telling him to stand down." Sanzu ordered, making you tear your gaze away from his sapphire opals to look at Sarge who was still snarling, anticipating your next command.
"Enough." You said, your voice barely above a whisper as you tried to contain your emotions. Even the mere thought of losing your other faithful companion was sending you into a frenzy, and before you knew it Sarge had laid down on the bed.
"Good girl." Ran said, making your eyes snap to meet his mauve irises with a harsh glare, and he smirked devilishly at you.
"Huh? Oh, she's up." Rindou said, his raspy voice would have done something to you if you weren't scared for your life at the three gang members who had managed to make their way into your home unscathed.
"Wh-why are you here?" You asked, your eyes darting between the three men who were all now standing at the end of your bed.
"Isn't it obvious? We saved you." Sanzu said, making Rindou scoff.
"I was the one who carried her home." Rindou said defensively, his tone was low and he hadn't intended for you to hear it.
"Why would you do that?" You asked again, this time the disbelief was clear in your tone and you subconsciously continued to rub your sore wrist.
"You saved me, it was only fair I returned the favour." Rindou said, making you narrow your eyes at him. He knew that you saw right through his façade, and he smirked slightly.
"Appreciated. Now get the fuck out of my house." You said, making all three men erupt into laughter, only making your grit your teeth in response.
"You're cute. I think we'll be staying for a while." Sanzu said, his compliment had made your cheeks flush slightly and you glared at him.
"Get. Out." You tried again, when suddenly Sanzu reached out and grabbed your sore wrist, squeezing harshly.
You gasped in pain, tears instantly pooling in your eyes as you stared up at him. The glare was gone from your face, a look of terror in its place. You saw something flash behind Sanzu's eyes, and little did you know he was delighted at the sight before him. If you had been paying attention, you would have been able to see the way he shifted himself to try and hide the way the tent in his pants grew a little tighter at your disheveled state.
"I'd highly suggest you keep your mouth shut and let us talk. Wouldn't want anything to happen to your precious doggie, would ya?" Sanzu quipped, moving to the side slightly to reveal both Ran and Rindou pointing their guns at Sarge, who was whimpering and backing up against the headboard.
He's scared. Help him. Your mind told you, and as soon as Sanzu let go of your wrist you shimmied up the bed and wrapped your arms around Sarge, who leaned into your touch.
"S'okay. Good boy." You said softly, stroking the fur between his ears.
"Continue Sanzu." Ran said, his eyes locked on your trembling form. He couldn't believe someone like you, someone capable of commanding a platoon of soldiers was so whipped over a damn dog.
He had read your file, they all had once Kokonoi had pulled it from the military database. He was shocked to say the least. You had been through so much during your time in the army, yet here you were - clutching onto a dog for dear life and he wondered if that's when he started to believe in the truth of ptsd.
"We'll be staying with you, because you need to prove yourself to us. If you can do that, you can meet our boss." Sanzu said, making you look away from Sarge to look at the pink haired male though you didn't stop comforting your dog.
"W-why would I want to do that?" You asked, your snarky tone was long gone at this point. You knew you needed to obey because you wouldn't be able to survive losing someone else.
"Because we have the same goal." Sanzu said, making your brows knit in confusion.
Goal? What the hell is he going on about.
"I-I don't understand." You said, feeling irritated by his vague answers.
"Your husband, of course. Come on, doll. You're not really that stupid, are you?" Rindou chided, and you all but lost your shit.
Stupid?! How dare he fucking call me that.
"What the fuck did you just call me?" You asked, pulling away from Sarge to get off the bed and stalk towards the younger Haitani. You could see Ran and Sanzu moving to stop you, but Rindou held his hand up to stop them in their tracks while his amethyst irises glimmered with amusement.
"You heard me, doll. Unless you're deaf too." He said, his tone was cocky as was the way he cocked and eyebrow at you as if to silently tell you, it's your turn.
Without a moments hesitation, you swung at Rindou. He was fast, but you were faster and you had managed to clip the side of his jaw, though it hadn't been a full on hit like it was with Sanzu.
"You're playing a dangerous game, sweetheart." Sanzu said, behind you at the bed as you had ended up lunging past him to attack his comrade.
You merely scoffed. You really didn't care. You knew that they were just toying with you, and that you were as good as dead once they've had their fill of you. So, you watched as Rindou lunged for you, and you managed to duck out of the way at the last second.
Thought you hadn't anticipated it to be a fake, and when he changed his trajectory in mid air and wrapped his arm around your waist, you knew that things were about to get harder for you.
"S'that all you got?" Rindou taunted from above you, making you screech in frustration. You had only been able to use your left hand, unable to throw punches with your right due to your fucked up wrist, and he knew that as he easily swivels his head around every punch you threw his way.
You could feel him caging your limbs with his, almost incapacitating you entirely. You were beyond mad, thrashing and kicking beneath him like a wild animal, and just as he had leaned in to say something into your ear, you lurched your head foreword, smashing your forehead into his and making the both of you groan in pain.
He had rolled off of you though as he brought his hands up to cradle the spot you had smashed, and it was enough of a distraction to get the upper hand and climb on top of him. You were quick to grab his arms and pin them at his sides while your knees pinned down his legs beneath you.
How the fuck am I going to hold both his arms with one of my hands! His arms are too thick!
Your question was soon answered for you as you squealed when he bucked his hips upwards, his pelvis colliding with your own, making you immediately let go of him and scramble backwards, a horrifying blush on your embarrassed face.
"Sensitive little thing." Ran cooed, making you look up from the floor to see him stalking towards you. Sarge had started barking again when he sensed your anxiety creeping up on you. You hadn't realized it, but your mind was having a hard time differentiating the current event from the present.
You could only see Wantanabe and his men stalking towards your half naked, battered body. You could only feel the dirty, wooden floor of the cabin moments before it caught fire, and you could feel the scar on your stomach aching, as well as the pain in your heart for the child you had lost that day.
Not again, you thought to yourself. You had repeated it over and over again in your mind, so much so that you hadn't realized you had begun to say it out loud, though it had come out as sobs and gasps as you struggled to breathe
"Huh? What- oh shit her file. RAN, stop. Her file." Sanzu said, making the older Haitani cast him a confused look before his mouth fell open slightly in realization. You were too envelopes in your own dark mind to realize what he had said.
Sarge had decided to fly off the bed, making the three men jump as they were slightly terrified of the large dog. Sanzu raised his gun and even though you could see it happening, your mind couldn't for a coherent thought.
It wasn't until you felt Sarge's cold snout pressing against your neck, that you started to snap back into reality. He moved his muzzle from your neck, before laying down and placing his head in your lap, inching upwards onto you and forcing you to lay on your back on the floor, using him like a weighted blanket.
Lina used to do this, you thought as you looked down into his big brown eyes that were staring up at you hopefully, and your sobs softened to light sniffles by the time your hand had reached his head and you had finally sat up once again when Sarge returned his head back to your lap.Â
"Back to what we were saying - we need to find your husband and we can only assume you want to do the same." Rindou said, once you had calmed down enough.
He was shocked with you looked up at him with teary eyes and a saddened expression, even more so when you nodded. You didn't trust your voice right now to speak.
"So that's a yes to proving yourself to us?" Sanzu asked for clarification, not buying into your sudden change of demeanour.
Your gaze snapped to his, noting the way his eyes were fixated on your tear stained cheeks. A nod from you made the pink haired male smirk, and you quickly looked away from him only to find Ran inching a little closer to you, clearing his throat.
"I'm sâ"
"S-st-stay away. P-please." You rasped out, making the tall male sigh and take a step back to stand beside Sanzu. You watched the three of them share a look, before Sanzu nodded.
"Rest up. We'll come back for you when the times right." Sanzu said.
With that, the three mobsters turned around and made their way to your door. You watched as Rindou stopped in the doorway, casting once last glance over his shoulder to lock eyes with you, before he followed his comrades out into the hallway.
You waited until the sound of your front door opening and closing resonated through the house, before burying your head in your hands and sobbing.

As you drove through Tokyo, you were only half paying attention to your surroundings. Your mind was constantly being plagued by the horrible images of the lives you had taken merely two weeks ago, and you were confused on as to why you had been dwelling on it for so long.
Was it because you knew you finally reigned victory over them? If that was the case, then why couldn't you sleep at night still?
Or was it maybe the fact that your satisfaction had been taken when the older Haitani murdered their ring leader?
Whatever it was, it had caused your ptsd to come back in full swing. You had a hard time with anything that required heat, your showers were never really hot per se, but now they were icy cold as they had been when you had first gotten home from overseas. You had found yourself looking at the urns on the shelf in the foyer, one for your husband and one from the unborn baby that only you knew about at the time Wantanabe and his men tortured you, and each time you thought about it you could have sworn the scar on your abdomen ached just the slightest bit.
Your cellphone began to ring loudly within the quietly vehicle, scaring the absolute shit out of you and causing you to jerk the wheel slightly to the right as you jumped. Once you reached over and found the phone, you didn't bother to check the caller ID before answering it and bringing it to your ear.
"Hello?" You said, astonished that someone would even be calling your phone, especially at two in the morning on a Wednesday.
"Lieutenant Commader Saito." The familiar voice on the other end of the line said, stating your name as a greeting.
"G-General Nakamura?" You questioned, disbelief in your voice.
"Sorry to call you out of the blue like this, but I have something you might wanna hear." Nakamura said, making your eyes widen slightly.
"What is it? Everything okay?" You had a gut feeling that you knew the answer to the question you had just asked.
"Not in the slightest. I had been notified that Wantanabe and his screw were found slaughtered at the abandoned nuclear plant. I'm not going to turn you in, I know why you did it and I can turn a blind eye to this." Nakamura said, making you exhale a breath you didn't know you were holding in.
"But your tags are here." He said, making your brows knit in confusion.
MY tags? There's no way.
"General, sir, there's no possible way they're mine." You said, trying to rack your brain for any reason as to how they would be there.
"I know, Saito. I- I don't know if this is something you want to hear, but there's been some speculations that Second Lieutenant Saito is... is still alive." With that, you slammed harshly on the breaks. All the air had left your lungs and even though Nakamura couldn't see you, you were shaking your head back and forth.
"W-with all d-due respect sir I- I think that's highly unlikely." You said, remembering the charred body you had clung onto for dear life.
No, there's no way.
"I was going to tell you sooner but I had just heard the tumours two days ago. There had been a breach in our security systems and a bunch of files had been hacked into. We're still looking into it, but the person or persons responsible are good at what they do. Unfortunately your file was pulled andâ" your mind was whirring and you felt sick to your stomach.
You couldn't believe what he was telling you. All of the potential suspects who would be inclined to want to know your whereabouts were dead, you saw to that two weeks ago.
You were pulled from your thoughts when you heard shouting on the other end of the phone.
"What the f- holy shit. Lieutenant I'm at the plant now and-" Nakamura's voice was cut off when you heard a gunshot, and you heard his phone falling to the floor before the call was dropped.
No, he can't die. You have to save him. He's the ONLY one who helped you in your time of need.
That thought was the only thing you needed to convince yourself to slam on the gas pedal, making a harsh left turn that had slid out the back end of the truck in a drift, causing the tires to screech against the dry pavement as you dashed your way back across town.
You knew you were going into this blindly, but what other choice did you have? You could either have carried on with your night, going to the store and then going back home to drown your sorrows with a bottle of bourbon and for sure let General Nakamura die, or you could do what you were doing now - a rescue mission that may go south and cost you your life.
But what were you truly living for now that everything you worked hard for was finally done and over with?
You had cut the lights on the truck as you pulled into the parking lot outside the plant, spotting two, empty Volvos. You made sure to park far enough away as to not be seen coming, and you reached over to pop the latch on the glove box.
As it fell open with a thud, you reached in and felt your fingertips brush against the cold metal of your Beretta, and you pulled it out before taking out the two mags along with it, and sliding one into the gun.
At least it's suppressed, you thought to yourself as you were unsure if loud noises were going to trigger a wave of your ptsd, and that was the last thing you needed.
You looked over at Lina, she was already staring into the darkness of the warehouse. You knew that she could see and probably hear what was going on, and you made sure to reach over and run your fingers through her silky coat.
Shit, I don't have her vest here. She's gotta stay.
"Good girl." You said, before commanding her. "Stay."
With that, you opened the door to the truck and slid out, your feet hitting the ground lightly. You made sure to close the door behind you gently as the last thing you needed was to alert them that you were coming.
You swiftly made your way through the parking lot and towards the broken glass doors that led into the plant. You made sure to keep to the side so that if anyone was on the main floor, they wouldn't see you coming, and the closer you got, the louder the voices became.
"Shit man, I can't believe we got the army's General!" A tall, lanky male said to his bulky friend, making the bulkier male scoff.
"He's not the acting general anymore, you know that right?" He had shot back, making his friend roll his eyes.
"So? We still got him. Once word gets out into the underworld, the Tigers will be on par with Bonten if not better!" Lanky said, and you rolled your eyes.
Its pathetic what wannabe gangsters would do for a little bit of fame, you were disgusted by the thought.
"Hey, he was one the phone with someone right?" Bulky asked, making his friend nod.
"Yeah, why?" Lanky answered.
"Do you think that he told them where he was?"
"Nah man, don't think so. Boss shot his knee out quickly, the only thing I heard was his screaming." Lanky said again, and this time, you saw red.
It's showtime, fuckers.
With that, you were quick to fill the doorway and fire a bullet into the lanky males head. The shot was muffled and his bulky companion didn't notice what had happened until blood spattered across his face, and his friend dropped to the ground beneath him.
"What the-" the bulky man yelled, raising his glock to aim it at you, but thankfully you were faster than him, and you shot his throat before he could pull the trigger.
Piece of cake, you thought as you wandered deeper into the plant.
You scouted the bottom floor, making sure every nook and cranny was free of wandering thugs before making your way into the stairwell, where you were met with another two men.
They hadn't heard you opening the door, and they seemed to have both been busy with watching a video on a cellphone. As you revealed yourself by stepping up onto the first step, they noticed you and began to get up from their position on the floor.
You tapped your trigger twice, unloading two bullets into each of their chests and watching as their now, lifeless bodies slumped back against the moody wall they had been leaning against in the first place.
How can they be so stupid?
You were amazed at how easy it was to kill off four men who were supposed to be guarding the building and you continued to climb up the stairs until you reached the second floor.
Bursting through the door, you saw the hallway was empty. You could hear the sounds of muffled talking, and you pressed your back to the wall just outside of the doorway to listen in on a conversation once again.
"What were you doing here, General." An unfamiliar voice asked.
"Eat shit." Nakamura said, and the sound of knuckles brushing against skin filled the corridor and your eyes widened.
Good, he's still alive.
"Im looking for Saito. You said she was in wit-pro, but you and I both know that's a lie." The unfamiliar man said again, making me furrow my brows
Who the hell is that and what the fuck does he want with me?
As you peered in the room you could see General Nakamura being held up onto his knees by a man who had fisted his greying locks. Nakamura was covered in a mixture of blood and sweat, and it made your heart hurt.
No, no emotions. Not now. You reminded yourself, before firing your gun into the male holding Nakamura.
"Ah, shit." The man interrogating the General huffed out, and you watched him raise his gun to fire it at you.
Making the split decision to slide over behind a counter in the makeshift break room, the bullet ricocheted off the wall, but the bang from the gunshot made your whole body begin to quiver.
Fuck that was so loud.
You didn't have your Comtac's to muffle the sounds of gunfire, and you were forcing your mind to stop thinking about the past as another rapid fire of bullets erupted into the room.
Each bullet penetrated the cupboards you were hiding behind, and you had somehow managed to duck and roll out of the way with each one. When you heard the person reloading, you knew it was your chance to strike and you peeked up from behind the counter and fired your weapon.
The bullet caught the man right in the chest, and you watched him stumble backwards into the wall behind him, before slumping to the ground. He was breathing heavily, clutching his bleeding wound as he stared up at you with wide eyes.
"Lieutenant, you came." Nakamura coughed out, looking up at you from his position on the ground.
You were confused on as to why his voice was brittle, until you saw the fatal wound that was seeping blood through his t-shirt and onto the floor around him. You hadn't realized he had been shot in the chest too, and you quickly looked back over to the dead male slumped against the wall.
General Nakamura was trying his hardest to get up off the ground, making you kneel down and place a hand tenderly on his right shoulder, gently guiding him back down to the ground as he winced from the pain erupting in his chest.
"You... you're bleeding." He said, making your brows knit in confusion. It wasn't until he pointed it out that you realize a bullet casing had grazed you shoulder and think you might have happened from a ricocheting bullet.
"Don't worry about me, General. We have to get you a proper medic." You said, reaching up and moving his hand from the wound and nearly gagging from the severity of it.
He's lost so much blood already, you thought to yourself.
"No... no time. B-but Saito... Ren's a-al-" he was cut off by a gruesome cough that caused a pool of blood to slip past his paling lips, covering his chest and abdomen in even more blood.
No... he can't - he can't die. He was the only one to help me. You could feel your eyes pooling with tears, and you blinked harshly to clear them so that Nakamura didn't have to see them.
"Alive. Don't know h-how b-but h-he wants... you." Nakamura said, gasping for breath shortly after.
"Shh, stop talking. S'okay General. L-let me call an ambulance th-they can help." You said to him, reaching up and brushing the greying hair from his face before your other hand reached into your pocket.
Luck would not be on your side that night for as soon as you pulled your cellphone out, you heard the sound of a single footstep behind you before your entire body was met with a painful shock, making you scream as your body violently convulsed. You had dropped the phone almost immediately to the ground, hearing it break as you did so, and your body soon fell along with it.
"Cant believe you didn't hear me coming, what kind of soldier are you?" An unfamiliar voice asked, his condescending tone making you seethe with rage. You had fallen onto your back, staring up at the dark ceiling when a face suddenly appeared in your vision.
Huh? Wantanabe? No, it can't be. His eyes wet blue and this man's eyes are dark, almost black.
"W-who are you?" You asked, your body still tense as all hell from being tasered by the stun gun in the man's hand.
"Wantanabe's brother, obviously. Do we not look alike, you stupid little thing." The male said, crouching down into a squat before bringing the gun back to your neck and zapping you.
You screamed as you convulsed, your stomach had clenched so hard that you needed to vomit and as the seconds turned into what felt like hours, the stun gun was finally pulled away from your neck and you rolled on your side and puked violently on the ground beneath you.
"So weak, how did you make it out of that fire? Oh right, your mutt had saved you. Where is he now, hm?" Wantanabe's brother teased, bringing up his foot before slamming it down into your abdomen, making you grunt in pain.
You writhed in pain on the ground, your eyes watering with unshed tears. As you looked over at General Nakamura, you could see his cold, lifeless eyes staring back you with a single rolling down his cheek.
He's dead.
"N-no." You cried out quietly, reaching out to grab the cellphone that had fallen from your hands, when the male above you stomped on your wrist, and your entire arm radiated with pain.
âDo you really think youâre going to last long enough to call for help? Pathetic.â He spat, rolling you over with his foot so that you were facing the ceiling once again.
My fucking body, itâs so tense. Everything hurts.
âSay your prayers, lieutenant. Geez, itâs so wrong to even call you that. You didnât deserve that position, Hiro did.â His brother spat, and despite every single fibre of your being screaming in pain, you couldnât help but choke out a laugh, earning a harsh stomp on your abdomen once again, ending your laughter with a fit of coughs and garbles.
âYou think this is funny to you?â He questioned, though this time you remained silent and made sure to hold his gaze. You wouldnât give him the satisfaction of knowing that you were terrified out of your mind, he didnât deserve to know the way your mind was comparing this situation to the one that happened overseas, or the way your mind was running through every single significant memory.
âRot in hell with your husband, lieutenant.â The man said, standing up and raising his gun to aim it at your face.
You closed your eyes, silently thanking the dead male beside you for everything he had done. You thanked your shitty parents for bringing you into this world, you thanked your⌠maybe not so dead husband for giving you a chance when nobody else would have, and you even thanked fucking Ran Haitani for taking out the last of the men that had hurt you.
This is it, Iâm officially done for. You thought, just as the sound of paws thumping on the ground brought you from your trance, and just as the sound of the gunshot when off, you opened your eyes in time to see Lina, jumping front of you and sinking her teeth into the manâs throat.
A garbled scream escaped his throat, at the same time a blood curdling shriek escaped yours when you realized the blood spattered across your face came from the bullet in your dogs chest. The tears you had been holding back were now rushing down your cheeks as you watched Lina tear and rip at the manâs skin until he took his final breath, before she slumped onto her side.
âL-Lina?â You called out to her. although your voice was barely above a whisper, you could tell she heard you by the way her ears perked up the slightest bit.
No, God please no. I cant- I cant lose her too, you thought, rolling onto your stomach before crawling your way over to her body.
Your body ached, each muscle in your body seemed to be taking their turns spawning painfully - the aftershocks of being tasered. You chose to ignore it as you eyes solely focused on the way her laboured breathing had begun to grow shallow.
You reached out to her, pulling yourself into her and wrapping your arms around her fluffy body. You could feel her lightly licking your hands - something she was trained to do whenever you would have a panic attack, and you couldnât help but feel more overwhelmed at the fact that even in her dying state, she was making sure that you were the one to be comforted.
âG-good girl. Always will be.â You sobbed, burying your face into the back of her neck and sobbing loudly. Your body trembled with each shaky breath you took, and another scream left your throat when you felt her body still.
Sheâs cold, sheâs so cold . You kept repeating to yourself, over and over again like a broken mantra that only made the pain in your heart intensify.
In this moment, you had given up entirely. The darkness that had been clouding your vision was beginning to take over, and the more you cried and gasped for air, the darker the world became.
The last thing you could remembered were the several pairs of legs that came into your vision, and you smiled softly knowing that you wouldnât have to be alive much longer. You were grateful that you wouldnât have to suffer any longer, and so you finally let the darkness consume you.

"Fuck, everyone get down!" Wantanabe shrieked, having been caught off guard by your sudden intrusion.
You were so quick to empty a few rounds into two men closest to you, not even bothering to make sure the Bonten men were free from the cross fire. When you had barged in you barked out your kill command to Sarge and Lina, and they were quick to begin tearing the throats of out two men who were screaming for dear life.
Is that what I had sounded like when I begged for them to stop?
No, stop that. Do NOT let your emotions get the better of you. Youâve waited way too long for this.
"Fuck." Wantanabe said in distress, looking around at the scene before him and he decided in making a break for the door while the dogs were busy killing the last two of his men and you smirked before raising your gun and firing two shots into his lower back, watching with a sadistic grin on your face when he cried out in pain.
It's my turn, to torture you, you thought as you stepped over your dogs who were busying themselves with the two men who were faintly squirming as disgusting garbles babbled out of their mouths - their final breaths.
"W-who are you?" Wantanabe asked, his voice shaking with fear as you heavily walked across the dirty concrete floor. You could see him still attempting to crawl away from you, so when you were close enough you brought one foot up before harshly slamming it down onto his back, making sure to dig the heel of your combat boot into one of the bullet wounds, making him scream loudly.
"What do you want from me!? Do you know who we are!? The entire m-military will be after you!" He shouted, his words mixing with screams the harder you pressed down on his wounds.
"Oh really? I didn't think they accepted dishonourable discharges back into their ranks. But what do I know, right, Wantanabe?" You said, bending down slightly as you spoke, and you spat his name like it was poison on your tongue.
You could feel him stiffen beneath you, his breath hitching in his throat as he heard your voice. You could see him slowly looking over his shoulder with shaky, jerky movements, before his eyes landed on your own.
"Y-you... S-Saito?" He said in disbelief, the surname of your late husband making a stinging pain radiate trough your chest, followed by an immense amount of anger, and you swiftly brought you foot off his back, only to kick him harshly in the ribs.
"The one and fucking only." You said cockily, laughing when you heard his pained whimpers.
"H-how did- I - I thought you were in witness protection." He grumbled out, making you kick him over onto his back, rubbing dirt into his wounds.
"That's what I told General Nakamura to put on the reports. You really think that I would give up and just take what you've all done to me?" You asked in mock disbelief, laughing when you saw a shiver run through his body.
"I'm sad, Wantanabe. You really think that I, your lieutenant commander, wouldn't be able to come back from that? Why do you think that I was the one chosen over you?" You were adding insult to his injury, and you could see the anger behind his beady black eyes.
"What was it you always said? 'I'd rather die than listen to the commands of a measly broad.'." You said, reciting his words to a tee.
"I-I will always live by that." He said, getting bold with you, and you had to bring the back of your hand to your mouth to stifle a giggle.
"My my, you really havent changed." You mused, squatting down in front of him. You swung the sling holding the Ak so that it was now resting on your back, and you reached into the pocket of your pants, pulling out a butterfly knife.
"Fitting that you'll be dying by that as well." You said, before taking the knife and plunging it into his thigh, laughing maniacally when you heard his ear piercing scream.
You weren't a sadist, not in the slightest. Yet you knew that Wantanabe had to pay for what he, and his other man had done to you and Ren. The other four had quick deaths, for the most part anyways. So as you lifted your knife to drive it into his body again, he began to spill what you thought was absolute nonsense between his teeth.
"S-Saito! Th-there's someone big - bigger than us th-that are pulling the strings wait - FUCK!" He shouted again as you craved a long, jagged line across his abdomen.
There, now we match.
"H-he's still alive!" He shouted as you went to drive the knife into his chest, making you halt with the tip just barely pressed against the thin material of his dress shirt
"Wh-who's still alive?" You asked, your mind racing with the possibilities. You quickly looked around you to see none other than Ran Haitani standing above you with a broken pipe, and before he could bring it down on top of you, you had rolled out of the way just in time.
The sickening crunch that the pipe made against Wantanabe's face was something you knew you we're never going to forget, and you were quick to look up and see Ran falling forward slightly, his half conscious body was having a hard time staying up right.
Did this mother fucker really just try to kill me?
No⌠he just took away the ONLY thing that would have given me peace in this world.
Before you could do anything you felt someone grab your neck from behind. You were quick to slam your head backwards into the persons face, making them groan loudly before their hands slumped to their sides and you broke free from their clutches.
Standing up on your feet you looked behind you to see Sanzu unconscious on the floor yet again. When you looked for your dogs, you saw that they were no where to be found and you whistled loudly in hopes that they would come.
Rindou Haitani was still knocked unconscious, or maybe he was dead, who knows with the amount of blood seeping out of the wound in his head. Sanzu you had rendered unconscious as well, and Ran was breathing heavily while clutching his side like a wounded animal, staring up at you with his droopy, watchful eyes.
Even in a disheveled state like this, heâs still an unfairly handsome man, you thought, wandering over to him and squatting down just as you heard the small pitter patter of your dogs running back into the warehouse.
âWho are you?â Ran croaked out, a deathly glare painted on his soft features and you had to give him credit for being so brave until the bitter end.
Iâm gonna fucking end him for stealing the one thing I had to motivate me. Without it, Iâm just as bad as Wantanabe and the rest. The desire to kill had been justified and broiled down to the five men here in the warehouse, but now⌠the insatiable feelings have returned.
âNone of your concern, Mr.Haitani.â You said, reaching down and boldly pushing the disheveled purple locks from his sweaty forehead. You could see the gears turning in his head as he looked you over, before his eyes flitted behind to his brother.
You wanted to scream at him, to curse him out and call him every single name under the sun until you were out of breath. You wanted to cry, to bury your face into your hands and weep like an infant, but most importantly you had wanted him to look at you - to pay attention to you and you only, while you took his life from him.
So why couldnât you?
âF-fuck. Rin?â He called out to his brother, though the younger Haitani could simply not answer. âRINDOU!?â
His yell had startled you, you hadnât expected somebody so injured to be able to muster up that much energy. You could see his eyes become the faintest hint of glossy due to the moons pale light reflecting through the half broken windows, and you couldnât help but think about how you managed to let your adrenaline fuel you to find your husbands burned body.
In a sense, you may or may not have saw something inside of the older Haitani that reminded you of yourself, and you told yourself that it had been the reason why you were quick to reach under your bullet proof vest, rip off a large chunk of your shirt, and wander over to the unconscious male while his brother watched.
âH-hey. No, nonono. Donât touch him!â Ran shouted again, groaning in pain when the pain in his side throbbed. You could hear him struggling to get up, but with the snap of your fingers you heard your dogs growling, making sure the male stayed in place while you knelt down and rolled Rindou onto his back.
Shit, his heads bleeding quite a bit. You thought, reaching down and lifting his head into your lap. And his hairs really soft, who would have thought?
âDonât kill him - kill me instead. Please.â Ran begged, his voice cracking slightly and you couldnât help but look over Rindouâs body to see a single tear rolling down his cheek.
I never would have thought a womanizer like him, whoâs so tough and malicious on the outside, would be so soft and vulnerable on the inside when it came to his brother.
âHe- heâs all I have. I-I canât watch him die.â He pleaded, and you sighed.
âIâm not going to kill him.â You said, your voice calm and clear, and you could feel Ranâs doubtful glare burning into your head as you quickly wrapped the thin material of your shirt around Rindouâs head tightly, stopping more blood from flowing out onto the dirty floor.
Just as you stood up from the ground, you could hear a fleet of cars approaching, and you knew that your time was up. You were confused on as to who could have called the police, but when you looked up and only saw black SUVâs, you also saw Ran putting a small black object into his pocket
That bastard had us on a call the whole time? Fucking hell.
Without hesitation you ran as fat as you could through the building, hearing the worrisome shouts of the Bonten men who had found their barely alive comrades. You heard Mikey shouting for someone to check the building, but at that point you had already busted out the back door and into the clear, warm summer night.
With your dogs in tow, you ran three blocks until you spotted your truck, and you wasted no time immensely jumping over the hood to get to the drivers side. As you climbed into the front seat, Sarge and Lina had climbed into the bed of the truck and you quickly sped off through the streets of Tokyo, making sure to keep checking your rear view mirror incase you were being followed.
Once you had made it home, you made sure to ditch your truck in the garage where it couldnât be seen from the outside world, and you shuffled your way inside. You hadnât realized it, but you had begun to cry on the drive home and the feelings only intensified when you spotted the small shrine you had dedicated to your husband.
You had thought you were going to be getting a good nights sleep for the first time in three years, but it seems that luck would not be on your side tonight. You tossed and turned in your bed, your mind running rampant as you went over the events that happened tonight.
You knew that you had failed your mission. All you needed to do was put a bullet into Wantanabe and everything you had been feeling, everything youâve been repressing would have finally come to an end.
And now, you think it never will come to an end.
So, you rolled over on your side and stared blankly at the wall until the room began to fill with sunlight. The stained glass piece on one of your windows turned the walls a deep, amethyst colour and you could have sworn it was just your mind playing tricks on you, as you fell asleep thinking about the amethyst opals that had bored into your very soul that night.
ran simps, assemble.
do you guys think he would be the kind of boyfriend with a âmy girlâs too pretty to fight, so you get to deal with me, insteadâ mentality, or do you think heâs the kind of boyfriend who holds your shit for you and grins proudly from the sidelines like âyou show âem, babyâ? i feel like it depends on the situation, but thatâs just me.
because itâs been five minutes and i canât stop laughing. itâs ooc but yâall already know the vibes.
imagine some bitch is popping off at the mouth, so you shove your purse and soda cup into ranâs hands with a curt, âhold this,â and leave him fumbling your belongings while you march up to the girl. everythingâs chill, youâre whooping ass, the earth is round. but then, ran freezes when he sees two more unfamiliar girls appear and make a beeline for you. they donât even have time to grab you whenâBAM. they catch a fist to the side of the head, swept clean off their feet and busting their ass on the concrete. youâre like wtf and look over to see your purse slung awkwardly over ranâs lanky-ass body, soda cup long forgotten, his designer shirt rolled up in a makeshift crop top, and signature twin braids unwoven to cascade over his shoulders. heâd be so nonchalant about it, toođ
ran âi legally identify as a female, but only when my girl gets jumpedâ haitani
