Yachiru giggled and waved the box around. “I want some adult candies !! I want sugar!! How come I can’t have adult candies???” She whined and swayed, keeping the box out of his reach. “Byakki always gives me candy! Why can’t you???”

"its special candies that are only meant for adults...how about you put it down and I'll tell you 3 staches of Ukitake own candies?"

a child should not be eating that amount of....ahem, special ingredients.

"Now now, I don't have much kiddy candies lying around. So ....put down the box of adult candies."

shunsui has the thickest skin but biggest of hearts.

ise sword being a theory that it is soul king own eyes that reflect everything holy back to the enemy. no wonder the curse is real if that theory holds true.

“Not at all. My so called “friends” have all gone dogfighting. You’re a Shinigami captain, yes? Wouldn’t you rather be where the action is?”

"My my, well I suppose thats true..."

But following an arrancar is not really his top priority when there were a thousand other officers who would do the same, who could do it better. besides if it ends in a fight, he's not sure who would come out on top.

"I think its a rather peaceful day today. and a good day to enjoy a walk."

now that nanao inherited the sword does this mean she can only be around those who share her curse now?like -

“Mhm. She’s doing your work. Which she should not be doing.” He lightly chastised. “Mm, I gave them specific instructions not to bother or follow me. I wanted to see if you were slacking off again.” He joked softly, smiling gently at the 8th’s proud captain.

"Well why don't you join me? Its a good day for a nap and we can take a walk afterwards~"

In other words, this is the usual. of course with years as long as them, some things were happening like clock work.

“Shun…” the Pale captain chuckled softly as he knelt beside him. “Come now, you have work you should be doing.” He didn’t move him or make any move to disturb him other than softly speak to him.

"My dear Nanao-chan is doing it, don't worry~

He waves his hand dismissively, though to be fair when he says that, he meant he only left half of it complete. it won't be a complete waste and the more important paper work was done and over with, not something truly for her eyes.

"I'm surprise you were able to escape from your officers." the two of them were like white on rice after all, they cared deeply for their captain, but...

and someone is resting, and avoiding paper work all the while. it seems the lazy air headed captain is once again in his natural habitat! a wonderful day indeed! Sake and some other snacks , a picnic most likely.
