So glad your interest is piqued, misfits and fellow wrongly accused people of the world and Tumblr. We’re a Newsies au based around the Blackwell Mental Asylum set in canon times, 1899. Based all on tumblr~

The Story

Blackhell’s is not all fun and games in 1899, and your character along with the other Newsies have been thrown into either wrongly accused, because of “queer” nature, or of other ridiculous and outrageous things. Leave nothing to the creative mind unspoken. 

Within the asylum, not everything is in place to help the patients either. No. Some… practices are extremely cruel by our standards. Harmful punishments amongst other emotionally damaging ordeals. The worst saved for the most “insane” of them all. 

Meals are about the only times that the “sane” get to see others, unless of course they sneak out at bedtime or during social hours. Other than that, complete lockdown. It’s a shame no one has regard for any rules ;). 

Amongst those wrongly accused, the Newsies thrive. Though, within the brick confines, they are known as troublesome creatures. Resisting treatment, generally being loud and obnoxious- it earns their fair share of punishment.

It is up to you to see them through their time, if or when they’re deemed “sane” enough for public interaction. We can’t guarantee they’ll ever be the same, however. Good luck~

today we have a little piece of important information regarding our rp’s in this community. y’all are fantastic and we love you to bits but we beg of you to not join a rp in particular. 

We will not give the name but it’s a wonderful place... until you express yourself in a way that one person doesn’t agree with your opinions or artistic choice and boom. It’s all over. People who you thought were friends now hate your guts and boot you out. They ignore you and block you over simple misunderstandings. They talk behind your back and back stab you.

Now this particular group has done it to a number of people we are very good friends with as well as ourself. Which damaged us as a whole emotionally, and a few of us have not stopped being upset over it.
