brie larson won best fight at the MTV movie awards for captain marvel and she barely spoke herself she just introduced her stunt doubles joanna bennett and renae moneymaker and even they were like this is such a rare acknowledgement and brie could so easily have talked about her own training she did but she chose to let them have this and even said “they are the living embodiment of captain marvel” and she’s just so compassionate and really strives so hard to live up to her goal of lifting other women up and supporting them and im

This is even more important and beautiful because Brie has been very vocal about doing a lot of her own stunts but these women trained her, doubled for her, helped her build this character, and are part of the group who paved the way for female stunt performers and actresses who do their own. Being a stuntman is often a thankless job even when you’re a dude but when you’re a woman it’s even more looked over. They hardly ever get the recognition they deserve. All the love to these 3 ladies!
