“well, i think murdering someone here isn’t a good idea! imagine the mess, and besides everyone would see!” bart says as he looks at the man, one of his best friends. “why don’t we do something else other than murder?” he says trying to think of some suggestions for his friend that they could do instead. “we could prank people?”

“i know.   not even you would be able to clean it in time,”  he sighs,  rolling his eyes.  “you want to prank people?”   he sighs again,  but eventually nods,  a smirk appearing on his lips as a thought crosses his mind.   “what do you think of using super speed to spray water on couples engaging on extreme pda?”

“please don’t,” lena remarked, turning to the person she had overheard speaking. “i’d hate to not have plausible deniability.” she was joking, of course, as evidenced by the quirked eyebrow and the slight smirk playing at her lips. “come on, it’s not that bad.”

“sounds like a you problem,”  he retorts,  sighing loudly.   hurting a human isn’t in his nature.   after all,  he was made to replace world’s hero should he perish;  he is superman’s successor.   yet,  people eating each other faces isn’t pleasurable to watch,  he’s far annoyed than he lets on.   “it is.   it’s that bad.   look around,  they have no respect.  it’s disgusting.   maybe,  just maybe,  if i kill one,  it will set an example.”

valentine’s day;  such a useless holiday.   at least, it’s how conner feels about it.   he isn’t fond of people as it is,  but witnessing pda every five minutes at a public event?  only enrages him more.   blame it on his lack of company during the special night,  but he felt like an avalanche of annoyance had struck him.   “i could murder someone right now...”

his gaze remains fixed on the book he reads,  seemingly ignoring what she says,  until he stands.   “steal some alcohol from the bar and i might.”

‘ oh great – you’re being a jackass today. must be a day that ends in y. ’ she quips too quickly, her gaze focusing ahead of her. she can’t make eye contact with him, not if she wants to keep up the pretense that she doesn’t already know why he’s angry with her. it seems easier than confronting it. ‘ but unlike the normal people, i’m allowed to hit you. ’

he rolls his eyes at her,  not in the slightest bit humored by her attempt of mockery.   “how would you even know?  you’d rather run off to another earth than actually talking to me,  but right,  i’m the fucking jackass.”   he looks at her,  tries to lock his gaze with hers,  but she avoids his eyes.   “correction,  you can try.”

‘ look –– i guess wonder girl of this earth had a pretty bad reputation so, if you see anyone coming with a pitch fork, give a girl a warning ?? ’

his sly grin belies his annoyed demeanor,  he rolls his eyes.  he misses her,  but he is angry.  anger consumes him so easily.  “can’t,  will be too busy holding a pitchfork of my own.”

’ do you ever get a little homesick ?’ her attention turns towards the other, gaze peering in curious anticipation for their answer. ‘ don’t get me wrong, i’ve never REGRETTED my decision to come here, it’s just – different. ‘ 

“nope,”  he retorts,  hiding his annoyed expression behind his harsh features,  rolling his eyes as she continued.  “oh,  i’m regretting my decision right now.”
