In the b e g i n n i n g ♡
In the b e g i n n i n g, there was a whole different lay of the land in terms of our cultural norms and standards. As time went on and the generations 'progressed', it seemed as if there was a whole new set of rules to go along with a whole new type of Smartphone every year. It has come to a point in time where I feel like what WAS the norm for my generation is now no longer 'pc' for current times. I call the current generation the 'whining generation', because of the fact that it seems as if everyone has to walk on egg shells to be able to please or get their opinion across without hurting, offending, or 'triggering' some sort of political/emotional/physical/sexual/discriminatory issue. Everyday, my daughter comes home from school and teaches me something new about this 'pc' generation that seems to be brooding. I admire that this generation is standing up for what they believe in, but did we implant these ideas in their heads? Or did they come to believe in them on their own? This is the part that I struggle with when my 11 year old comes home and tries to teach me what is socially and politically 'correct'. Just thought I'd share ♡
