Que ganas de volver a verte
A joke is a joke, until it’s not.
Everybody probably heard and watched what happened with the SG cast.
Yesterday I was mad. Today I’m disappointed.
First of all, to make it clear about what happened, it is not about reality vs fiction. Actors/Characters. Relation on screen/off screen. We all know what’s real and what’s not real.
Yesterday, what Melissa and Jeremy did and said was real. It is not them being Kara and Winn, it’s them being themself. It’s them showing disrespect to their fandom and making fun about them. Not only the fandom but also to Katie who was talking and being supportive when Chris thought it would be so cool to make fun about what she’s was saying.
And let’s not talk about the fact that during that song recap, they didn’t mention Alex and Maggie. But they said that Daxam is a cool place. So now, a place where there’re slaves is cool ? seriously?
In which century Melissa and Jeremy are still living? And this is not about me having no sense of humor. What they did is not funny. A joke, you laugh. When it hurts and when it is disrespectful, it’s not a joke anymore.
When I was a teenager, I had, like many, Willow and Tara/Alyson and Amber. They helped me. I held on to them. They were my safe place and will always be. Today, whatever you are a teen, a young girl, a young boy, a man or a woman, you can hold on to Sanvers, to SuperCorp, to WayHaught, to Malec, to Vauseman, to SwanQueen, sorry for those I don’t quote, they are canon or not, it’s not the point. The most important is that they can help, they make people happy. This is what matters.
SuperCorp, we know, is not probably gonna happen as a canon w/w relationship and so what? Does it make you the right to make fun of it ? of the fans that support that relation?
To some girls and women, Supercorp is a safe place, a relationship they can connect to, a relationship that makes them happy between two strong women that support and care for eachother despite their differences. It is not about being canon, it is about what it represents and the impact of it.
We have the right to ship SuperCorp. To ship whoever we want. Canon or not. Brother/Sister relationship. Kara and Alex, Kara and Cat, Kara and James, James and Lucy, Kara and Lucy, Kara and Mon-El, Alex and Lena, Alex and Winn, Jonn and Megan, Cat and the President, Winn and Mon-El, Maggie and Lena, Maggie and James. I ship Sanvers for a reason, I ship SuperCat for a reason, I ship Karolsen for a reason, and yes, like I always said in previous post, I ship SuperCorp. I ship it for a reason.
There’s no right or wrong. Just be tolerant and respectful. That’s all.
I am really disapointed in Melissa and Jeremy. I don’t judge their personal life, because I don’t know anything about it, and it’s not my business, but what they did is trash, disgusting, hurtful and homophobic.
We’re already living in a world where it’s hard to feel at home when you’re not white and straight. So when your safe and happy place is being destroyed, what’s to hold on to ? what’s to believe in? It is even worse that it came from 2 members of the cast who should be supportive.
We all make mistakes, we’re not perfect. When we made a mistake, it’s important to admit it, to say sorry, but it’s even more important to understand it and to learn from it.
Let’s try to be good and respectful to everybody specially when so many people still try to find a way to feel accepted, valided and loved.
To those who felt like shit after what happened, don’t fall and stand up. You have all the rights to ship SuperCorp, you are brave, strong and beautiful. So resist to these words that make you bleed, be yourself and keep believe in.
Today, from what I know is that Supergirl is really lucky to have Chyler, Katie and Floriana, who support, who valid, who understand and listen, who care and who respect.
So if you need to, listen to these amazing women and hold on to them.

Nevertheless ...
Hello everyone. I’m sure you all learnt about Floriana/Maggie/Sanvers situation for season 3. I’ll write about it later. Right now, let’s focus on the final episode of the season.
222 was good, but to me, it didn’t have the level of a season finale or “Better Angels”.
Recap:
Kara: “I Supergirl”. Kara didn’t get her happy love ending in this episode, but she had so much more. She’s the strongest and when she’s fragile, Alex, Cat or Lena are there to fix her and remind her, how proud they are about her.
It’s always hard to see Kara sad, to see tears in her eyes, but Kara made a choice, a hero choice. National City is her city, and she’ll do everything she can to protect it.
Melissa was amazing in this episode.
Alex: “Oh my god Kara”. Like in 221, Alex showed that she can be in charge of the DEO and here for Kara and Maggie.
Being a boss and being soft, Alex Danvers rules both.
Maggie: “I know the Danvers girls you don’t break easy”. We didn’t see her a lot, maybe 30 scs… She was not even introduce to Clark…
Anyway, Maggie Sawyer knows the Danvers Sisters, she loves Alex Danvers and she’s here for her, no matter what.
James: 10 scs of James maybe, not even a line. The good thing of those 10 scs: He’s Cat Grant’s bodyguard.
Winn: “You probably don’t remember me”. Winn is really in love with Superman, isn’t he? That was a funny little moment. I loved his team with Lena, it reminded me 208, it was great.
Jonn: Back to the action, finally! I’m so happy he had his cute love ending with Megan, Jonn deserves it.
Clark: The fight with Supergirl was intense. But seriously, as much as I love the character of Clark Kent and that Tyler is doing great, I didn’t get the point of his return. It was a waste. To tell Kara she’s the strongest, Kara doesn’t need Clark for that. She has Alex, James, Cat, Jonn, Winn, Lena…
“You don’t have to try to make me feel better”, Clark, honey, don’t try, it’s not the time. Say “hi” to Lois for us.
PrinceMon: Again, useless, he didn’t even believe in Kara… Funny fact, after he left on the pod, the next scene’s showing everyone at the DEO celebrating.
Mon-El, please, during your holidays in The Phantom Zone, take the time to think. By the way, if you come back, Lena Luthor is waiting for you, to talk about Kara.
Rhea: I really loved Rhea. I’m kind of sad that she died… in a dust way.
Lillian: “I taught you to be a scientist to question everything”. She still there and this is good. She once again tried to fool Lena, but she forgot how much Lena cares about Supergirl.
Lillian wants to be a better mother, sounds interesting.
The President: OKAY… Where the fuck was she ?? Seriously ??
Jeremiah: “The truth is still out there” …
Megan: “Wake up”. I was so happy to see her. Megan is a braveheart and a hero. The show needs her.
Lena: In one season, Lena Luthor is the woman who saved Alex, Supergirl, MonEl, The Aliens from a virus and The Earth from Daxamites … Tell me, when will someone tell her thank you, will hug her, will kiss her ? It is about freaking time.
Anyway, I loved how she protected Supergirl and Kara. Loved her team with Winn.
Cat Grant: “Where the hell is my latte?”. Even if we saw her less than in 221, Cat Grant was the best part of the episode, it’s so good to see her at CatCo again. Cat really brings a huge strength to Supergirl.
Whatever it is a comedy or an emotional scene, Calista is fabulous.
Karamel: Kara said “I love you”, and said that Mon-El made her happy … I think, I missed several episodes, or I didn’t watch the same season….
Anyway, I have to say that the goodbye scene was really well played by Melissa and Chris.
Supercorp: “I just gave Supergirl the remote”. Lena and Kara, well more Supergirl in this episode, need each other and I love them.
Sanvers: “Marry me”. One Sanvers scene, and what a scene. First, I was like Maggie “Excuse me”, and then I smiled. Because it is Sanvers and because since 2x03, Sanvers is Life and Love.
But, to me, for a moment like this, they deserved better. The scene fit to Alex’s character, but it also felt rush. Not the proposal, the scene. Of course, I would have loved to see more of them as a couple, because it feels like we didn’t see a lot of their relationship.
But, during this episode, when it felt like the end of time, when you realized that tomorrow you could lose everything and the moment you finally say “I love you” could be too late, Sanvers felt like a peaceful home. A home where everything is possible, everything is real, everything is worth the fight.
The way Maggie hold Alex, telling her that Kara will be ok, represents that peaceful feeling, that safe place. Alex and Maggie are happy, I am happy.
The Danvers Sisters: “I got you, I’m here”. Words that remind me the pilot. Alex will always be there for Kara.
One of my favorite scene of the episode is the Danvers Sisters moment on the DEO balcony. Alex chose to talk about that painful moment that changed her life. A moment where Kara was proud of her. Now, it’s Alex who says that she’s proud of her little sister even in the pain.
“Never Let Her Go”. One of the most important line. I take a moment to talk about Kara and how supportive she’s been with Alex since the beginning of season 2. Kara was there when Alex came out, she listened to her, she stood by her during all season. “What about Maggie?”, “I’ll go get the alien, you get the girl”, “I need you to be with your girlfriend”, giving advices for Valentine until “Never Let Her Go”.
That last line of course, remind us what Kara asked to Alex in the Better Angels episode: to find love, to be happy. Today, Alex Danvers found love, is happy and Kara is there and she protects, even in her own pain, the happiness of her sister.
The Danvers Sisters are beautiful.
SuperCat: “Thank you”. The Kara/Cat moment at the end, was my favorite. I loved that the episode kind of end on this moment.
Kara and Cat need each other, and Cat is the only one that can fix Kara by giving her the right words at the right moment. Cat Grant’s speech is again iconic, but the “Go get them Supergirl” line is legend.
We knew that Cat knows but having her saying it, is so powerful. Besides it shows how much Cat respects Kara. She’s not disappointed or mad that Kara doesn’t tell her. She understands that Kara wants to be Kara with her, at CatCo.
Cat has such an admiration for Kara and she’ll always stand up for her. she truly believes in her.
Kara and Cat are important and their relationship brings the show to another level.
Oh and I almost forgot: Somebody said Reign?

221: Cat Grant said “Resist”, so Resist.
What an episode, what an episode ! An episode that reminded me the good old days of season 1.
Cat Grant returned to National City and the show is back to its main strength: Women.
Recap (sorry it is a long post again):
Kara: “Miss Grant.” Yeah Kara, Miss Grant is back. I loved Kara, in this episode. It’s the Kara/Supergirl I fell in love with in season 1. The one who leads, the one who tries to find the best solution, the one who needs advice, the one who resists, the one who stands up, the one who saves and loves.
I gotta say that Melissa is a lucky woman who had in this episode at least one scene with each of these amazing women: Chyler, Floriana, Calista, Brenda, Teri, Katie and Lynda.
Alex: “I am evacuating the DEO.” Alex as the director of the DEO, I say YES. Besides, being in charge put her in a situation in which she had to face several choices. Follow orders as Agent Danvers, or follow her heart as Alex Danvers.
It’s complex and even if she’s scared, she is strong enough to believe that she can be both: being The Agent and being The Woman who loves Kara and Maggie. Alex Danvers is a Heart.
By the way, the scene where Alex jumped out of the DEO, Chyler just WOW.
Winn: “Oh my god the president is an alien”. Winn was great in this episode. He cares so much about everybody; Maggie, Kara, Alex, James and Cat. Winn is the little brother.
His scenes with Cat Grant were amazing. Their little hug when Cat arrived in the bar was really sweet, and also the way he protected Cat at CatCo. I need more Winn and Cat.
James: “You’re safe now Miss Grant.” From all of us, thank you James. We didn’t see him a lot, but the scene where he saved Winn and Cat is great. I loved it.
Jonn: “What would Jonn say?” Well, we didn’t really see him, but we did see David as Cyborg Superman.
PrinceMon: “I can see why Kara loves you”. Episode 221 and Mon El finally said something that makes sense. However, he’s still useless whatever he’s with his mother, Lena or Kara. Anyway.
Clark: We saw Superman at the end, he didn’t really look like himself. I gotta say, I didn’t see that coming.
Jeremiah: He was mentioned, but nobody knows where he is…. weird.
Eliza: Talking about Jeremiah, where is Eliza? I hope she is in a safe place.
The President: “I suppose I owe you an explanation.” Finally we know more about her, and her intentions. Her scenes with Cat Grant were priceless. Lynda Carter rocks.
Rhea: “Welcome to new Daxam”. Rhea, the kind of villain that I love to hate. And seriously, Teri Hatcher is just freaking perfect.
Lillian: “What? not happy to see me”. Oh My God, you gotta love Brenda Strong for the way she plays Lillian. As a real Luthor, we don’t know what she’s up to.
I really liked the moment where Lillian talked with Supergirl about the fact that she knows she’s Kara. It was intense.
Lena: “Yeah I’m fine”. Yes Lena is fine, thanks for her. I love Lena Luthor since the beginning and with this episode I love her even more. She was so done of everything on the Daxam Ship, it was so funny. But she’s there, standing, being strong, speaking, holding a gun to save Mon El (love that moment). When she escaped with her mother and CyborgS, she keeps standing, standing for Supergirl.
Maggie: “The first time we meet”. So National City became Star Wars. Everybody is scared, fighting, in a hurry panic mode, but our favorite detective is there, being relax, soft, romantic, badass when she needs to be, and everything is cool. You gotta love Maggie Sawyer, she is really something else.
I liked that she didn’t put more pressure on Alex shoulders about pushing the button. She’s there, standing next to Alex, to support her whatever the decision she’ll make.
Cat: “I’m Cat Grant, not going anywhere”. In one episode, we saw that Cat Grant is the character that brings this show to another level. She makes it feminist, deeper, and more powerful. Only Cat Grant can does it, no one else.
I loved her scenes with Kara, Winn and Olivia. I also loved the fact that she called Winn “Winslow”, mentioned Kara as “Kiera” and the way she said “Thanks James”.
“We are Women”, “At least tell me you’re still a democrate”, “And seeing E.T but I thought it was the pot brownies”, “Tiara woman”, her whole “RESIST” speech with the line “Everyone needs to be a superhero”… I don’t know how many punch lines she had during that episode but I do know that Cat Grant is A Legend. Cat Grant is AN Icon and Calista is Fabulous.
Karamel: Their kiss reminded me that Karamel as canon still exists. Why Karamel still exists? I don’t know.
Sanvers: “Full circle”. I love Sanvers. But it’s not because I love them that I can’t be a bit critical. To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the bar scene, mostly because of the writing.
Having Maggie on the phone saying “Danvers I need you” and Alex being at the bar while Maggie is outside was not… them. I won’t talk about the kiss….Then Maggie left with Guardian and Alex just let her go without saying anything. Okay…
But, everything gets better after, when they’re working together “Trusted agent on my six”. Team Sanvers is the best team. Sanvers is a full circle, Sanvers is endgame.
Supercorp: “Likewise”. Kara Danvers loves Lena Luthor. Lena Luthor loves Kara Danvers. What a development. Like I said before, everybody thought it was impossible for a Super and a Luthor to get along, Kara and Lena build the possible.
Now, we don’t know what’s going to happen, but to me, Supercorp is the most fascinating relationship on the show. I would love to see for the season finale a cliffhanger that focus on Kara and Lena connection. It would dare and it would be great.
The Danvers Sisters: “I know you’re fast but be faster”. We had some beautiful, emotional, Danvers Sisters scenes again in this episode and I am so happy about it.
From “I’ll meet you outside”, well that is a freaking meeting full of trust, to “Come on Kara”, the Heart and the Soul of the show are still beating and strong. It always comes back to them.
I loved when they flew together at the begining of the episode, because last time we saw The Danvers Sisters flying was when they were teenagers. Their hug before Kara left, with Alex being worried and crying, it felt like season 1 again.
SuperCat: “I really missed your advice Miss Grant” - “And I missed giving it. Now shoo, up up and away. No time to lose.”
I really missed Miss Grant too and the Kara/Cat moments. From the scene where Supergirl saved Cat (not to mention she chose to save Cat and not the President) to that talk scene outside the bar, it felt like Kara was home again.
Cat and Kara are both powerful women. They inspire each other, they admire each other. Besides, Melissa and Calista are such a great team.
Next Episode: Season finale, it looks intense. I hope we’re gonna see everybody again, and that it’s gonna be as feminist as “Resist”. It would be perfect if Megan could come back as well.
Oh and I almost forgot: “The future is female”
Are we gonna talk about Cat Grant calling Queen Rhea “Tiara woman” during her Resist speech ?!
“If you’ve done anything to Lena”
I finally find the time to talk about 220.... Even if 221 aired yesterday I want to talk a little bit about 220. It was a good episode. I really loved that the focus was on James, it’s good to see him. Special mention to Lonnie Chavis (This Is Us) as Marcus, the kid is talented.
Recap:
Kara: Since 218, she seems to be back as Kara, as a reporter, as a friend. It feels good. Wait and see... The scene she shares with James at CatCo when he introduced her to Marcus is a sweet scene. Kara cares about James... I almost forgot about it. It feels like the good old days. Kara and James are good together.
Alex: She ate an hamburger... That was interesting...
Maggie: Where was she? work? planning first vacations? Trying to find a dog?
Winn: Winn outside the DEO is always good to see. I like when he teams up with James, he’s so supportive of him.
James: This episode is here to remind us, that James Olsen is a hero without being The Guardian, but by being himself. Thank you for that. James at CatCo, James with his cameras, James with Winn and Kara, I loved it all and I want more.
Mehcad, you did great.
Jonn: Jonn is the boss
PrinceMon: I don’t know what to say ...
Rhea: Rhea is a kind of Dark Vader, isn’t she? The way she’s trying to be nice, friendly, a mother’s figure to Lena, well done Rhea. Do you also play chess? Evil chess? maybe? I’m looking forward to what she’s gonna do during the last two episodes.
Lena: Lena wants to be loved. All the trust she puts in Rhea as a mother figure is beautiful and painful.
She wants to be a different Luthor, “Be your own Hero”. Well Lena, darling, let me tell you: you are already a hero.
Karamel: It looks like they’re still together.... how is it possible?
Sanvers: The most important thing is that we know they love each other.
Supercorp: “If you’ve done anything to Lena I’ll”. The more I see them on screen, the more I love them. Whatever they will rise as canon or not, Supercorp rises more and more each episode. I love them, their connection, their story, the way Kara and Lena are together, they trust each other and they deeply care about each other.
The opening lunch scene (we finally had it), besides to be cute, sweet and full of love, shows that when everybody thought that a Super and a Luthor can’t get along, Kara and Lena build the possible. Supercorp is important.
Oh and I almost forgot: In their scenes, Katie and Teri are kind of amazing.
