Here’s my of the The core recording functionality is complicated, it’s not easy to master. Each time i use it, it feels like I need to relearn the sequence. There are lights designed to help with the user experience, however it’s a not exactly easy for me, And that can make it a difficult tool in the studio. For its capability to build a loop, an infinite loop, across four channels, and each channel can only have the same length of a loop, it works. Now in text this may sound fun, here’s an example. If you have a loop and it’s two measures long, and you want to do a during those two measures. You hit record, yada yada, now you have your drumbeat. Next? Synth lead? click track select, hit record, now you have a another two measure blips. Now let’s say you’re at that part of your loop composition while you’re improvising this without the ability to undo or remove any errors unless you get good at taking the volume and sliding it down when a bad noise happens while the record is on so that the loop doesn’t have that audio anymore, however you just put a big silence in your loop. Not only do you have to be precise when error correcting but let’s get back to it, now you want to put a baseline or a long pad synthesizer portion to your music, let’s pretend that it does not sound good with two measures. This is where the product ultimately disintegrates and makes other purchases look a lot better, the fact that you can’t change the loop size per track limits this products capability, and the fact that you can’t see a tempo anywhere on the product including the external pedal that is extremely loud and always picks up on any microphone no matter what ... I think I will always keep this loop pedal, for its capability to allow me to be endlessly lost in the infinite nature of recording into four tracks, I can really appreciate it’s ability to generate that vibe feeling in a static amount of measures. I’m sure when I got good at the pedal i can loud click up and loud click down, & record 4 measure lengths, to mixdown but it feels like this aspect is not relevant to me while live.
