OH MY
me on a date: so what do you think about Tony Abbott?
them: He's a good Prime Minis....
me stuffing bread sticks into my purse: sorry I have to go home right now immediately
Welcome to my new favourite Facebook page:Â Why Iâm voting Liberal
What's so bad about Tony Abbott?
oh, child. youâve come to the right blogger.
this, is our current prime minister, tony abbott.
heâs been in office for almost a year, now. in that time, heâs managed to piss a lot of people off. myself included. so what exactly makes him so bad?
1) heâs sexistin regards to abortion, heâs asked âwhy isnât it regarded as a national tragedyâ rather than the declining life expectancy of aboriginals [x] and that itâs all about women taking âthe easy way outâ[x]. heâs even gone so far to say that women will never succeed more than men because âtheir aptitudes, abilities and interests are different for physiological reasonsâ [x]. letâs not forget that he thinks itâs not a womanâs right to refuse sex and that he believes it should be moderated [x]. did i mention heâs the womenâs minister? [x] itâs not a joke. i wish.
2) he doesnât like immigrantsheâs not a fan of immigrants and has been quoted saying such things as âjesus knew that there was a place for everything and itâs not necessarily everyoneâs place to come to australia.â [x] letâs not forget, âi donât think itâs a very christian thing to come in by the back door rather than the front doorâ [x]. you know, because thereâs a queue for when you run for your life.
3) he thinkâs climate change is made upheâs said (and god i wish i could make this up) âclimate change is absolute crapâ [x]. oh and heâs also made a comment on bushfire tragedies in australia saying âfire is a part of the australian experienceâ [x]. losing your home and family is definitely part of the australian experience, right tony?
4) heâs homophobicwhen an 11 year old boy wrote to him about the rights of the gay community in regards to marriage and abbott wrote that he will continue to âsupport the existing definition of marriageâ[x] not only does he refuse to take religious views out of the picture, but he wants to silence the gay community and has said âif youâd asked me for advice i would have said to have, adopt a sort of âdonât ask, donât tellâ policy about all of these thingsâŠâ[x] he has also said âi probably feel a bit threatened (by homosexuality), as so many people do.â[x] yeah, and we feel threatened by you.
5) he upholds aboriginal stereotypesabout aboriginals, heâs said âthere may not be a great job for them but whatever there is, they just have to do it, and if itâs picking up rubbish around the community, it just has to be done.â[x] letâs not forget that if an indigenous person canât find work, they have no excuse because there are no âcultural excusesâ[x]. oh and what does he think about the british invading australia and killing thousands of indigenous people? âwestern civilisation came to this country in 1788 and iâm proud of that⊠[x] good job.
6) his view on homelessnessâwe just canât stop people from being homeless if thatâs their choice.â[x] need i say more?
7) reduction of work rightsâcompulsory paid maternity leave? over this governmentâs dead body, franklyâ[x]
8) his way with wordswhat does he think about the crisis in syria? âitâs not goodies versus baddies, itâs baddies versus baddiesâ[x] what did he say when he posed closely with a group of teenage girl netballers? âa bit of body contact never hurt anyoneâ[x] how does he promote his campaign? âif you want to know who to vote for, iâm the guy with the not bad looking daughtersâ[x] his reaction to a dead australia soldier? âshit happens.â[x] iâve saved the best/worst until last âno one, however smart, however well educated, however experienced, is the suppository of all wisdom.â[x] ew. letâs hope not.
there are about another thousand pieces of evidence i could use to explain why this man is bad for our country. like how his daughter has received an art scholarship that wasnât known to other students before she received it [x], while he makes funding cuts to universities[x]. not to mention that when a radio listener called in to comment on how she managed to make ends meet because of his pension cuts by working on as a phone sex operator, he winked[x]. this guy is basically the scum of the earth.
and to close, iâll leave you with this website. abbotisms is a site that showcases his best worst statements heâs been quoted saying. also, this video from john oliverâs âlast week tonightâ and itâs brilliant commentary on abbottâs stupidity and overall ignorance.
i hope weâve all learnt something today.
iâm not the original composer but i tried to do the song justice
So, Iâm trying to find the right tattoo when I get my first tattoo. I think this one will be perfect on my forearm just below my wrist.
Some of you might know about the semi colon many people draw or tattoo on themselves, and the semi colon project. Well the semi colon is where the Sentence could have ended, but was chosen to continue on. That has happened quite a lot in my life, especially when I was first diagnosed with depression at the age of 8 years old. Many times did I try to end it, but instead I kept going. Through school where I was constantly belittled and tortured just for being different to the struggle of trying to be my true gender which took 6 years, Iâve seen my fair share of possible story endings.
Despite the dark times that keep getting splashed on to me, I still have the power within to continue, hence the black splatter around the flurry of colour. It takes a lot of strength to continue when you feel you canât go on any more, and those who do should feel proud; itâs a mighty power.

In a movie the settings sometimes donât physically exist, unlike the recent science fiction film Ex Machina. The filmmakers cobbled together two real life locations with visual effects and sets to create a stunning world.
Much of the home used in the final film is actually a hotel: the Juvet Landscape Hotel, from the Norwegian team at Jensen & Skodvin Architects.Â
The Tiny Fern Forest Treehouse. A cozy shelter supported by four maple trees above the blanket of ferns. The treehouse has heat, electricity, and a small refrigerator. While relaxing, you can gaze at Mt. Abraham and a beautiful Green Mountain National Forest. Located in Lincoln, Vermont.
