Venom should have a tail...to me this is obvious. Tapered and long but culing upward if that makes sense
Im thinking abt venom again but also like. Its hard for me to return to those movies bc venom 3 made me legitimately sad in a way im not fully sure i can articulate. The first one was a horror comedy. So I really dont get why the last one was a tragedy but holy fuck. That sure was tragic?
Many are not familiar with what is called a diva moment. Youre about to learn
This theory is basically tied up in a lot of questions but I think the Hallers are financially well off.
Most obvious clue is their house out "in the country" which was huge especially given that the only family members we know to exist are Ms. and Mr. Haller, Amy and David. Plus, given Charles Xaviers wealthy background it'd make sense why he'd choose them to raise David. The show never even implies that David had a steady job before going to clockworks so, it's very possible that either he didn't work or was just unable to keep a job long term. His family having money would explain how he was able to keep such a nice apartment on his own. After Philly breaks up with him, he's shown as still living there so she wasnt helping with rent. Also, to be honest, Clockworks is probably an expensive hospital and David has been there for 5-6 years by the start of the series. Amy doesn't seem to be concerned at all with the money necessary to keep him there indefinately.
Even before that when "David" beat Dr.Poole nearly to death I find it interesting how inconsequential that was. For an assault that serious surely he'd be taken to jail or institutionalized in some similar way but they never even imply that he was. Maybe the Hallers were able to pull strings to make it go away.
In the end, we never really see David doing a lot of basic life stuff, cooking, cleaning, driving. We have no idea how David is (or most of the mutants are for that matter) at taking care of himself other than his general statement of " ( not being) good at out there (outside of an institution)" I know that that's a little bit the point as alluded to by Melanie and Gabrielle, that in trying to save the world you forego a personal life. That is also the point in mental illness, that there's a certain normal, a certain peace that David can't have because "( he's) sick". So really in trying to construct a view of David's life before Clockworks, one really just has to guess but the general picture I see is one of someone never fully realized in any aspirations or potential. Setting himself up, begining to have hope for a new direction in life, only for it to fall apart again and again, and for the Hallers to prop him back up every time as best they can. With both parents (probably) gone, Amy was all he had keeping him afloat, and he would have, without the plot, lived with her and Ben indefinately, able to afford to live on his own but not mentally stable enough to.
that makes me curious
do you think you could beat up your blorbo in a fistfight if you had to
yes
no
nuance i guess?
SMALLVILLE (2001-2011) 2.21, “Accelerate” Emily always believed in ghosts. Whenever a candle flickered or a curtain rustled, she'd insist it was my mom trying to talk to me. As much as I wanted to believe her, I always knew it was make believe.

he would not fucking say that, but with disability.. he would not fucking be able bodied. sick n tired of characters walking away from multiple life changing injuries without a scratch. let’s get some natural consequences in here.
give that knife/sword fight survivor nerve damage. give the character who was shot in the gut a stoma. give that fire survivor lung damage and an oxygen cannula. give that leg injury survivor a cane. give that starvation survivor gastroparesis. give that spinal injury survivor a manual chair or powerchair.
while we’re at it, give your characters congenital disabilities too, just because. give them intellectual and development disabilities. give them acquired and postviral illnesses. dare to make somebody bedbound. for me.
Imagine if there was a character and every time they show up, two of your favorite characters die offscreen, swiftly, and are not mourned by anyone. And also this guy has a smarmy personality.
That's Professor Hulk for me.
