Miss You!
I met u
I met you on a familiar corner but unknown to me
Memories I will look back on and you right there
Streets I passed before but ignored
I’ll meet you in far off places n right in the city we call home.

KOTH on his newest album release gives nostalgia, with sounds and lyrics. Familiar beats, reimagined with slick sounds. Very Seattle sound and very what I would say is hip hop. KOTH is not a stranger to the Seattle music scene but more like a pave maker in our city as far as the art of music goes.
On his recent album I would say there are quite a few recognizable samples that makes listening fun and familiar.
In my opinion KOTH is a “conscious artist” talking more about deeper subjects. And using word play over just rhyming.
The title of the album insinuates a certain mannerism. I’m fortunate to actually have met KOTH and feel the title is appropriate to his artistry.
My go to song on the album is “Mr Been Been” you can hear the articulation in his pronunciation, very west coast. “The Spot” really feels like a sit and chill vibe, almost like lofi sound. I could sit and get work done.
I also appreciate the way KOTH revisits subjects and lines he has used before in previous music.
It’s a good summer vibe and music you can put in a playlist and not change the song when it visits your shuffle.
