King’s presence just outside her room allowed her mind a few moments of rest from distraught thought. She was happy to see him, and also more than happy to be momentarily rid of her own memories and most of all, the vivid dream she had woken up from not moments ago.
“Well, it looks great.” Rem stepped out of the door way in a hope that he would step in after her – she had heard a small rumble coming from her blonde friend which just made her want to invite him in even more. Though, to her dismay, her movement wasn’t noticed as King announced he was about to leave. “King, you should stay and eat with me. After all, there is two of everything on the tray.” She said, looking over her shoulder at the metal shining in the sunlight before turning back to King, “Come in!”
Rem motioned for him to take a step through the doorway, smiling all the while. She was silently over joyed to have someone there with her. The last thing she wanted to do was go downstairs and bring her off putting mood with her. Her family was the one thing that brought her the most joy in the entire world so Rem wasn’t about to greet them after being dragged down by a restless night’s sleep.
Moving toward her nightstand, Rem looked around her room. It was small, and left little to no room for a table besides the small one the tray already rested on. If they did eat in here, it would have to be sitting on the bed.
“Sorry about the lack of room…” She pursed her lips looking over the space. Rem moved to her bed to straighten it up and rearrange the pillows for sitting, stifling a small cough as she went about moving around. After she made the make shift sitting area look decent, she sat down, looked over to King, and patted the seat next to her.
The frail girl started to put the individual plates together. The tiny serving dishes only consisted of the food and tea that King brought up, but it was more than enough. The idea that he had even thought to bring her breakfast was so sweet, so it was the least she could do to plate it.
“Your room is probably much bigger, what, with having Nine with you.” She giggled, “And I’m guessing a bit more messy as well?”
