Sanctuary || Rem
The city's building stood in front of Aqua in a heedful position. With two layers of windows, she'd say this was probably the third largest building in Aphrodite. Being home alone, she only had a sanctuary with books she had found. It did not take that long for that queue of stories to finish. Opening the doors to the whole entire source of research and information laid in the rows of shelves, just waiting to be opened, the bluenette walked right into the heavy stocked shelves of books.
Running her hands long the spines of stories that brought one to a worlds surreal and imaginative, she walked upon several until stopping at one that caught her eye. She strolled down, until she stopped and took out a book from the shelve. Aqua wiped off the flecks of dust off the cover, reading the title. She opened the book carefully, wary that she might damage it, and began to read...
After reading the first few chapters, Aqua decided to take it home. She placed the book under her arm and began going back the way she came. Once again, she traced the spines of books on the way out, memorizing the smell of the parchment of unopened books. This-- this place was a sanctuary to herself. It reminded her of-- her home. She felt the pang of nostalgia in her chest, beating. As she was pressing her fingertips against the door, she heard someone clearing their throat behind her.
