If we never experienced the dark, we would never know what light is. When we experience (perceived) bad, it allows for us to then truly observe and the light, the good and the beauty of life. There is a deep purpose for everything. The more we see it for what it is, the less that that the (perceived) bad feels bad and the more that we see it as a helpful teacher that then creates the beauty.
