Request for Sugawara x Daichi from Haikyuu where Suga gives birth for the first time at the hospital

“Ughhhh…hoooooooohhhhh,” Sugawara groans at a strong contraction. His heavy, gravid pregnant belly weighs him down, causing his back to ache. The doctor in the hospital room had Sugawara ride out contractions at the edge of the bed, with his husband Daichi behind him, supporting his body as he labored.
Daichi gently but firmly presses his fingers into his husband’s lower back. “How’s that?”Â
“Please, yeah right there, babe…” Suga mutters. Daichi continues to massage the knots in his lower back muscles.Â
At 39 weeks pregnant, Sugawara’s water had broken over half an hour before Daichi drove him to the hospital. The drive to the hospital was agonizing with Sugawara’s labor progressing quickly, though the expecting couple made it safely, with the doctor having checked all of Suga’s vitals which were normal.
Outside the translucent window, it’s 1am in the morning and it’s dark out. The building lights and passing cars on the road illuminate the city.
The couple is now standing on the floor of the hospital room. Daichi holds his laboring husband close to him, both slightly swaying in their standing position together.
“Hngghhh…gahhhh...” Sugawara lets out a low groan with another strong contraction, gripping the sleeve of Daichi’s sweater. His contractions are about 3 minutes apart now.
“I know, I know.” Daichi whispers, rubbing his laboring husband’s back gently, soothingly. He kisses Sugawara’s head through his messy gray hair. “Breathe, you’re doing so well.”
Suga does so, breathing in and out deeply as Daichi holds him close. Sugawara takes comfort in his husband’s embrace.Â
After some more time laboring standing on the floor, Suga is advised by the doctor to get back into bed. The grey-haired man leans back against the pillows of the bed, spreading his legs so that the doctor can check his dilation progress. At this point, he’s only at 7cm.Â
Daichi sits in the seat beside the hospital bed and offers his hand to his husband which Sugawara takes.Â
“Fuck…oughhhh…” Suga shuts his eyes and whimpers at a strong contraction, squeezing Daichi’s hand. The pressure in his belly and hips grows more intense as more minutes pass.Â
“Breathe.” Daichi squeezes his laboring husband’s hand back. “You got this, honey.”Â
Sugawara nods, taking deep breaths through each contraction, which are now less than a minute apart from one another. For Sugawara, time feels so slow as he prepares to give birth to his and Daichi’s first child.Â
Some time passes, and the doctor checks Sugawara again. “Okay it looks like you’re fully dilated to start pushing, Mr. Sugawara, are you ready?” She asks.Â
Sugawara looks at his husband. Daichi looks back at him.Â
“Yeah I’m ready.” Suga nods.Â
The doctor tells him to push when he feels another contraction. Taking a nice deep breath after the signal of another contraction, Sugawara groans out and gives a big first push, gripping the bed rail with his left hand and Daichi’s hand with his right.Â
Sugawara had been pushing for several minutes now, following the doctor’s instructions to breathe and push whenever he feels a contraction coming on. Daichi continues to encourage his husband, admiring how amazing he was giving birth to their child.Â
“You’re doing great, Koushi, just a little more and the head will be out.” Daichi says to his husband, wiping his sweaty forehead with a dry washcloth. Suga nods in acknowledgement. He had been pushing for some time now, sitting up in the bed with his legs spread. Daichi clutches Sugawara’s hand, in return Sugawara grips Daichi’s hand tightly again.Â
Sugawara takes another deep breath before giving another push. “Ohhh come on,” Suga grunts, groaning out as he comes down from the contraction and exertion of force. “Hnghhhhh!!!”Â
He pants through some more gentle pushes, and eventually manages to push the baby’s head out. Sugawara leans back into the pillows, closing his eyes and catching his breath. Daichi dabs his husband’s forehead with the soaked washcloth to keep him cool before giving his forehead a kiss and brushing his grey hair back.Â
“That was incredible, honey.” Daichi rubs his husband’s shoulder. “You’re doing so well.”
Sugawara nods, and he takes the time to breathe slowly and deeply again, anticipating more oncoming contractions and giving big pushes as the doctor continues to instruct. As he rests on the pillow panting and catching his breath after a big push, Sugawara looks up at Daichi who’s still sitting beside him, holding his hand. Daichi’s eyes, such a deep dark brown, looked so gently and lovingly at him.Â
“That’s good, you’re doing so good.” Daichi whispers. He kisses his husband’s head through his sweat-dampened hair and wipes his forehead.Â
“On the next contraction, give a big push,” The doctor instructs Sugawara.
“I’m pushing…” Sugawara grunts, anticipating the next contraction before giving another push, groaning out with the force he exerts.
“There you go. That’s it, babe, you’re doing so beautifully.” Daichi says.Â
“Alright, Mr. Sugawara, you’re almost there,” The doctor says. “Take a nice deep breath and give a big push.”Â
Sugawara closes his eyes again as he sucks in a large breath, then exhales, groaning through a big push. He could feel the baby slipping further out of him. “Oh my god, it’s coming!” He exclaims.
“You’re almost there! Push, honey!! You can do it!” Daichi encourages.Â
Sugawara sucks in a deep breath as he gives another hard push, letting out a long yell through the force, until the baby completely slips free from his body.
“Baby’s here, you did it! It’s over!” The doctor announces.Â
Sugawara flops his back against the pillows, panting and sobbing. Daichi strokes his husband’s hair soothingly.
“Koushi, you did it, our baby girl is here.” Daichi says.
Sugawara, eyes still closed from exhaustion, cries out, “Where is she?”Â
“Right there,” Daichi looks over to the doctor holding the crying baby in front of Sugawara. Sugawara’s eyes opened, and he saw her, their baby girl. Sugawara cries as the doctor carefully places his daughter into his arms.Â
“Oh my god, my baby, there you are,” Sugawara whispers, tears still streaming down his face. “Sawamura, we did it.”Â
Daichi starts to cry tears of joy as well. Sugawara holds their newborn to his chest, with Daichi hugging his husband and pressing multiple kisses to his sweaty forehead. Sugawara really had done it, finally given birth to his and Daichi's first baby. They're a complete family, everything's perfect.
