Quote of the day
“Be a better you, for you.”
— Sonya Teclai
Woman to woman, I tell you this because I care about you:
• Get your degree, get your bag and be your own man. Be independent.
• Don't get married or move in with someone until your brain is fully developed (age 25)
• Be obsessed with improving yourself every single day. You can create your own dream life.
• Don't get pregnant unless you're emotionally, physically and financially ready.
• Be surrounded by people that make you wiser, happier and prettier.
• You are still young in your 20's, 30's, 40's and more.
• A relationship is partnership: Make sure he helps you too
• Always take care of your appearance
today's affirmations💌
You’re not a terrible person who doesn’t deserve anything. You deserve happiness. You deserve a life of your own, not when you finally become perfect, but because despite your shortcomings, you’ll always be worthy of happiness. It’s time to stop punishing yourself and to start believing you’re enough as you are right at this moment.
stop ignoring yourself. fix your posture, get a fresh haircut, drink water, take care of your skin, eat food that gives you energy, declutter your space, take time to rest, workout, do mindful meditation, fix your sleep schedule. when you feel/look good, you do good. invest in yourself, put the effort you deserve.
be addicted to real dopamine
be in the present and notice those little things you never saw before, but that have always been there
experience new exciting things that bring you joy
love people, listen to them and create meaningful connections
make art and don’t label it as “good” or “bad,” just let your soul be free
stop scrolling on social media and start turning pages of an interesting book
do mindfulness meditation and feel your body and mind calming down
move your body, no matter how as long as you’re enjoying
listen to music that matches the moment you’re in
eat nourishing food, feel your stomach full without discomfort
get a good night of sleep and feel yourself ready for another day
Cry. As often and as much as you can. Cry wholeheartedly. Feel that pain wrenching your heart. Let it. Cry it all out, instead of letting it rot inside and hurt yourself in many more ways than you will ever be aware of. Cry. Let that pain be free from that cage within. You'll feel tired, sure, but more free and lighter too, after crying. So cry with no fear, cry with all your heart. There is no stupid reason to cry over, every reason you have is valid and enough. You're not being excessive, you're not being immature. And it's not useless. Just cry.
And then get back up.
