“i just finished this one comic, morning glory. that shit was dark, but so interesting, you should take a look, if you’re looking for recs. it’s an older series, though. lee followed him to the shelf, listening diligently as he described the plot. “sounds interesting, much more interesting than anything i was looking at back there,” she took the second copy of the comic from the shelf, identical to the one the stranger was holding in his hands. she turned it over, thoroughly sucked in by the art style. “i’ve always wanted to read the scott pilgrim comics, but i’ve only seen the movie before! i know, i know, i need to read it, right?” she rambled a bit, still flipping through the pages as she talked. “anything else? i’ve got a couple of extra bucks, and i was hoping to treat myself to more than just one comic,” she shrugged, looking up at the other. “i’ve been reading a couple of webcomics lately and getting hooked. you ever heard of lore olympus? it’s got me hooked right now.”
“Oh yeah, Morning Glories has been going on forever,” Keiran said. “Is it still going? I never got into it myself. You should definitely read Scott Pilgrim though. I love the movie a lot, but there’s so much more to the comics.”
Keiran thought for a minute. “Hmm...I haven’t read Lore Olympus, but I’ve been hearing things about it here and there. I kinda wonder if this might be your speed.” He looked just a little further down on the same shelf until he located The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 1. “This series is...wild. I’m not that far into it myself. I need to catch up. But I think maybe you could get into it if you like the idea of gods and goddesses and all that.”
At that point, he realized he’d forgotten to introduce himself. “Oh, I’m Keiran, by the way. Nice to meet you.”
