Alright. Letās try something new.
Itās been almost 1 year 5 months to the day that Keirās Krafts was started. And what have I done with it? Have I started a new wave fashion line? Have I begun knitting perfectly cute baby blankets? Do I have a plethora of chabby chic upcycled antiques that I furnish my house with?
I have none of those things.
Sure, Iāve made a few sets of ornaments, I built felt masks for my nephews 1st birthday party. I have even perfected my free-hand chalkboard calligraphy thanks to my DIY wedding. But all of these things have fallen to the way-side, stuffed away in boxes because we decided to move, and they are now collecting dust and cat hair.
However, Iāve decided to change that.
We recently returned from our postponed honeymoon in Hawaii. While I was there, I developed a deeper appreciation for organic, homemade products. From their produce, to their hair care, everything on the Big Island all comes from the beautiful earth we live on. Now, I do consider myself a LUSH fanatic, and while my fresh-product craze could be tamed by walking into one of their stores, letās be honest, $12 is a little much for a tiny bar of soap. Aināt Nobody Got Time For That.
So, as I stood under my tiny shower in my cold New York apartment, pining for the warmth of Hawaii and cringing at the fact that I am down to my last few days of product in my LUSH containers, it hit me.
I like to DIY. I love organic products but hate the price of them. Why on EARTH am I not creating my own?!
And thatās where I am at.Ā
I will revive my self-made business, continuing to kreate and kraft projects here and there, and I will begin my own line of Apothecary products.
I call it:
Black Cat Apothecary.
(Named quite lovingly after my two mischievous furbabies, obviously.)
