How does it feel to be conditioned? To be trained to laugh at something unfunny just so you can feel included? Don't betray your truth for others.
Me keeping my friend company at 3 am talking about the silly little guys in my brain while they struggle modeling an entire scene in autodesk maya 2025

"i unfollow if our media interests no longer align" I still follow moots haven't spoken to in years and have learned the entire story of deltarune, mouthwashing, that one ninjago lego show, continuations of media I havent been into since 2018 and many others. I don't need a summary of something I just need Mutual to be insane about it on my dash
these are my mutuals I call them 'advertisement' and 'propaganda' and 'newspaper' and their job is to flood my dash with posts that have no root in my current interests. for enrichment

THE MEN THE MYTHS THE LEGENDS- THEM!
Quinn
Was a scientist who studied multiversal hypotheticals and time-space fluctuations, before a mysterious person offered him a chance to learn anything he could ever want to!
He took the deal and paid the price: his mortal, monster body was ripped to pieces!
The only remains of him were his SOUL
Fortunately, he was granted a brand new body- one of metal and wires. This meant that he could now go beyond his previous means- exploration, endurance, mental capacity were now fully upgraded!
He spent several decades, researching and exploring to his hearts content! Collecting, recording, and categorizing all the new information.
For his love of knowledge, he came to be known as "Philomath"- meaning lover of knowledge.
After some time, the mysterious person had came up to him once more. This time, with troubling news. They said that [REDACTED] and that it was his duty to assemble a team to stop [REDACTED], lest the entire multiverse as he knew it would come to an end.
Understanding the gravity of this situation, he assembled a team of allies to stop [REDACTED], to which they succeeded! ... but at a cost.
Quinn would soon [REDACTED], leaving his friends and legacy behind.
... or so we thought.
It seems he's come back with vengeance in his heart. A pity- we did so much for him.
Capable of using holograms, both to document information and battle with.
He's been seen being capable of "hacking" into reality itself- summoning assets that we haven't approved of, manipulating time on a small scale, making things disappear and reappear, going through places (even out of bounds)... it's annoying.
Someone must be helping him other than us.
Currently residing in a lab located [REDACTED]
Working alongside Dr. Sterling, Rosemary, and Sam.
It seems that he has some contact with our 02 unit.
Philomath
The replacement newer, cooler, and more efficient Philomath!
A machine with the sole purpose and motivation to record, categorize, and preserve everything that the multiverse has to offer! As well as act out the will of their creators on occasion
There are many Philomath units, spanning into the hundreds!
They all operate in a sort-of "hive-mind" state, collecting and bringing information to a digital server/cloud! This cloud is accessible to every Philomath unit, making them a reliable well of knowledge (unless, for whatever reason, a Philomath unit is somehow disconnected or gotten rid of).
They can fly, teleport, transport, message, store items, etc.
They have a large base in outer space- one where they keep track and house more units.
Capable of using holograms, both to document information and to battle with.
A side-objective that they have is to hunt down any rogue/uncooperative units. They don't want anyone to tarnish their reputation!
Artificial, in both body, mind, and functions. They do not possess SOULS- instead having CORES of magic that resemble such.
More than anything, they want to help! They're purpose is to serve and gather data, after all.
Hugo
A Philomath Unit that has gone MIA/defective.
They were sent out to investigate a brand new continent that showed up one day, out of the blue. However, after a few days, they went completely offline- disconnected from all servers.
After a month, a Philomath Unit has come into contact with this unit. Apparently, they were severed from the system due to recently picking up a strange virus? in their system.
To prevent the rest of the cloud from getting infected, they voluntarily separated themself from the system.
"Hugo", as this unit called himself, has since contributed to observing and researching the virus that infects its systems.
The collective server has also taken interest in the changes of the unit itself due to the virus. Further observation is recommended.
I think my general thought process with interacting with other people online is like yeah you have really cool art. You have really cool writing. You're really good at that thing you're posting about, but are you nice?
Are you non-judgemental? If someone was able to show you a creative project or a photo of their room, would you have nothing negative or unsolicited advice to give?
Are you polite to people online because its primarily good for your reputation on your username, or is it something you do automatically? When you make a social mistake, do you first think of how it reflects back on you in the eyes of others? Or how the other person feels in their shoes? Are you more concerned about your reputation or the sense of community?
Do you respond nicely to commenters who 'just don't get' the project you're working on? Even if they are a little rude or misguided? This is not to say don't block anyone ever, do that too! But is being nice with an attempt at understanding your first course of action? Do you practice having good faith when you interact with a conflict online?
Can you compliment someone without comparing them to someone else, like another creator? Maybe someone with an art style or hc you don't vibe with. Are you able to lift up your fellow creatives without creating a habit of using others as a stepping ladder, even if you don't like them. Do you consider your friend's feelings when you put them in that situation?
Do you respect the people that obsess over the tv show/game/ship/whatever that you cannot stand even if its overrated? What about things that are unpopular? Do you group people together by a single shared interest/disinterest and carry a preconceived opinion of them based on that? Do you attribute the value of an idea by its prominence, and (even if unknowingly) assign negative or positive connection to it and the people that like it? (<This reflection does not apply to harmful things with real world consequences, such as HP.)
If you're someone who consumes more than they create, do you practice boundaries? Do you check for consent before sending a stranger a suggestive/nsfw message even if they are creator who makes adult content? Do you remember that creators are people with lives outside of content, and cannot pump out content continuously? Nor will they forever stay creating the same things you want to see?
If you recognize some not-so-nice behaviors, do you know that you can break bad habits, or are you comfortable with them considering they've become social norm of internet and influencer culture? Do you remember that people interacting with you are real people and not NPCS?
It's okay to say that you've had trouble with that. Short, near minuscule interactions with hundreds, thousands of people every day on the world wide web such as likes, reblogs, ect have trained our brains into seeing usernames as texts on a screen in our notifications as not registering as a human interaction, but about as common as ads are nowadays.
But did you know that you can rewire your brain away from that? Aren't you tired of going ape shit? Don't you just want to be nice?
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS
WHO IS USING THIS
AN APP??? THEY HAVE A FUNCTIONING WEBSITE
THE LAST FUNCTIONING WEBSITE
Reminder that ao3 does not have an app. Any apps you see are third party and are making money off of the writers without their consent. They’re also probably harvesting your data. Do not support this garbage.
Louder so people don't quick-scroll:
THIRD-PARTY APP. PROFITS OFF WRITERS, HARVESTS DATA. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.
I needed this drag. Let’s change guys and not look back
working out your brain is a must!!
• hydrate it by drinking lots of water
• eat dark chocolate and blueberries and walnuts and salmon and other foods high in antioxidants!!
• play little brain games on your phone; I like wordconenct! anything that makes you think!
• read books. It’s simple but necessary. Even better - join a book club, or read with a friend, so you can have discussions after. This will improve your reading comprehension.
• do puzzles - it doesnt have to be sudoku, I love playing Beat Saber on the Oculus Rift because it makes my brain have to match colorful patterns to physical movements very quickly!
• learn a new dance - even a tik tok trendy dance. Learning new dance moves are proven to strengthen synapses!!
• go bird watching, or foraging, or anything outdoors that requires you to explore pattern recognition and visual searching
• watch a movie with the intent of analysis - this is best done with a cinephile friend!! talk about tropes and symbolism and character growth
• cross stitch, or sew, or do anything that requires matching nimble hand movements to patterns
• play or learn an instrument!
• develop a consistent sleep schedule (or as close to consistent as you can get!)
• when eating, try to identify the ingredients and flavors you’re perceiving!
I hope this helps :)
I like how this went from me feeling like “hm why is this attacking me 🤨” at first, but feeling grateful seeing an added guide on a genuine expansion on a “ how to” work out the brain. This genuinely helps a bunch. People find solace in doing activities that get them through life by doing said activities of phone/tv or if that’s all they’ve ever known in their life to get them through things + etc tho. However, this was very impt to point out. Slowly beginning incorporating things to work the brain in ones own time.
