Leilani: I grew up having no CHOICE but to try, though! There's the difference! I already was forced to do the time and I hated every second of it! When did anyone ever get forced to do what I liked to do instead?

Kekepania: It's not a crazy concept at all. I don't want anybody I love to do things where they could die either, but anyone could die at any time doing anything. Did you know selfies kill more people than sharks and crocodiles combined? And that's without metal bars to keep us safe.

Kekepania: Maybe it's because you think of it as "doing time" or "being forced". Did you ever even try to have fun with it?

Kekepania: That's what swayed you? That's not about kindness towards you, that's the bare minimum of civility towards a lifelong friend and his feelings. You have an easy-going spirit and willingness to be friends with just about anybody.

Kekepania: Rowing and climbing, mainly; extreme sports chick :-P and I guess but after graduation is when everyone will split and go their separate ways for vacation. I know I'm heading home soon as I can.

Leilani: Because accidents happen! Why tempt fate by trying to befriend something that’s higher up on the food chain than you and doesn’t want to be your friend??? It’s stupid! It’s still unnecessary thrill-seeking behavior and if you guys don’t respect that it scares me why should I respect that you do it at all???

Leilani: Well, maybe I don’t want to anymore! It’s not like I had a choice as a child and I obviously didn’t like it then and paved my own way. If I didn’t like it when I was in my supposedly ‘fearless’ years then why would I like it now? Why is not wanting to take unnecessary chances such a crime? And don’t act like it’s personal, I always have a book no matter where I go, it’s not some slight against either of you!

Kekepania: You don't have to be so dramatic, it isn't "tempting fate". It's an interaction that takes place securely behind steel bars. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to call it stupid. I DO respect that it scares you, even though you clearly don't return the sentiment. I'm the one who tried to keep you out of the plans entirely because I know how you'd feel about them and even so you're looking down upon them, down on Momma and me for having different ideas of fun than you do. How do you do that without feeling ashamed?

Kekepania: It isn't not a crime, I never said it was; I was explaining why Momma keeps trying, that she's still hopeful that you'll try someday in retaliation, but you obviously don't have to. You can do what you like, Leilani, you're a grown woman. But when you complain that we don't do what you like, I'm allowed to point out that you don't do what we like either, and when you complain that we don't try, I'm obliged to point out that you try even less. It's not some slight against you, it's just tit for tat.

Kekepania: Porches, lots of windows, and a presidential suite with a roof that's partly retractable and ugh, its gorgeous. A little cushy for me but still, one of my favorite places on the island. That sounds like a legit ass honeymoon, dude. Go for it.

Mary Kate: I feel like she'd probably ask Scarlett or Noa before she asked you, but hey, if I catch wind of it I'll be sure to let you know to be ready to be backup :p I don't know. I mean, she was just kind of... supportive when she had no reason to trust me, and I guess that went a long way. And my best friend has told me I'm kind of a nerd sometimes too so :-p

Kekepania: Thanks, but it's not fair to you to compare yourself to me. Comparing to your past self is good, shows off your growth. And not needing a reason to test it is far from a bad thing too.

Kekepania: She would definitely ask them before she'd ask me. She'd ask them INSTEAD of me, and acting out against the people who hurt her without her permission will just drive a wedge further between us. I'd appreciate the Intel though. Its nice to hear she can be supportive of somebody. Congratulations on making the cut of people Leilani is nicer to than me. Its not a high bar but it's a divisive one.
