thought i could make a masterpost with all the conlangs that might make an appearance on this blog, so:

#sorkish conlang – current favorite child; written with #sorkish conscript

#rasanian conlangs – two sister conlangs #kalish rasanian and #sennic rasanian, i hope to start working on them more soon; written with #rasanian conscript

#ruomic conlang – one of the newest conlangs, i work on it now and then; written with #ruomic script

#yeseian conlang – another new conlang that i started in january 2025; written with #yeseian script

#chytari conlang – the strange child, with minimalist yet slightly unusual orthography

#lísic conlang – the oldest child, est. 2020 (first version 2018/19) but i havent properly worked on it for years; germanic conlang pretending it is not germanic

#sentian conlang – a part of a larger language family, newer conlang i am very slowly working on

the latter three are written with #zelhølt, or the lísic script

i think it's probably been like a month since i began writing the verb section of the sentian grammar and it might be finally done now

i forgot where i got the dative of sentian personal pronouns from (i just know it is irregular and is Not from the protolang's dative) and at this point i cant bring myself to change it so that it has a clear source. sentian linguists will wonder over this feature of their language for centuries

also i keep finding mistakes in the sentian forms because my work with sound changes is very chaotic (i don't use any site to do them for me) and it drives me crazy.

started watching better call saul and there was this insanely good shot in episode 1 that i just had to draw as these two. and i was also looking for an excuse to show off the conlang im currently working on so there it is, kirjan's native language in the zelhølt script

translation:

"i miss when you didn't know sentian and i could talk about you behind your back"

once in a while i suddenly start working on a conlang i havent touched for months and i just gotta roll with it because i have no say in what i work on

trying to add livonian loanwords into the new lang (called slovunian? might change at some point but it is funny to me that it's just another language for foreigners to confuse with slovenian and slovak) but it's all just german words in a livonian trenchcoat

i may or may not finally take the leap and completely* remake the linguistic landscape of kélas. properly, with proto-languages and fully fleshed out language families, with the knowledge i have now, i believe i can lay out a good foundation for any future work ← words of a man who began thinking about this at 10 in the evening so take it with a grain of salt but i truly hope i do go through with it, be it tomorrow or in a year

Do you make separate docs for the stages of your conlangs as you evolve them, or do you make one giga-doc for all permutations?

Asking because I'm getting more naturalistic for one of my conlangs, proto-language and all that, and I don't know what to do.

all of my attempts at making language families failed horribly so i cant really give advice in this regard sorry lol (and those attempts were really chaotic at that, which could be one of the reasons why i ultimately dropped the projects)
