It's my 6 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

2012- Aventura Waterways.

I was bullied all throughout middle school. I used to sit in front of the homeroom lines and scribble lines of poetry into my little notebook. I was going through a whole bunch of emotions. 13 years old. Awkward in her own body. Bright but insecure. I looked nothing like the skinny preppy white girls with their khaki tights, red vans or convers and yellow shirts. I was black, carribean, overweight and uncomfortable. Most of my colleagues from these classes were my competitors. They are all married, in good professions and ran up the corporate ladder. I never would have thought that I would find this picture. So sad. So helpless. Still feel like that now sometimes. It's hard to acknowlege your childhood trauma. Here is a hug to the girl in the picture and the woman behind these words. Here is to a spiritual cleansing for the pain inside. I see you. I hear you. You're important. Love you Kella.
