These kinds of scenes are so telling in a coming of age movie! It really shows what the focus is on for the director. Is it an ass-shot? Is it a group shot? Is it a shot where your character is isolated or alone? It’s really a sort of ‘taking the temperature’ sort of scene where you as the audience get a personal check in with the main characters.
