|| home at the rogers || 

Life is busy as any mother knows and the home is the heart of where it all takes place. My friend Amy does so well at the balancing act of raising littles and keeping a beautiful sanctuary for everyone to escape in. 

She has an eye for interior design and a passion for not just making her home beautiful but being the beautiful home on the inside for her two girls and her husband. 

I loved that she painted the canvas displayed in her living room. She mixes functionality and durability with the current trend in the pieces she has found for her home. The wooden chest is believed to be from WWII and the restored wood pieces sprinkled throughout leave margin for life to happen on their surfaces.

My son is getting to that age where everything we do, he wants to do! We cross our feet when we sit down on the couch, he crosses his feet too kind of cuteness going on right now. So naturally his current ambitions are to be a guitarist like daddy and a photographer like mama. 

My camera goes “ c l i c k “ and he puts his baby camera to his eyes (upside down and pointing the wrong way) and clicks his tongue. I arrange Blee, Mr. Agoo, and Dog on the couch and he wants to help. If I got down on my knees to get a lower angle, he was right there next to me on both knees.  

The trickiest thing about taking these photos was I could barely get in front of him! He wanted to stand right next to me the whole time- so he could get the same angle in his shot of course.

Now Booking Fall Portraits!

I'll be taking the month of August off as we welcome our second son and I'm already gearing up for a wonderful season of holiday portraits again this year! This time books up quickly, so please don't hesitate to plan ahead with me as I get my schedule put together for September-December! It's going to be beautiful with lots of new locations and hopefully the chance to meet lots of new families as we settle into our home here in Santa Rosa.

|| Jaxon Turns Two ||

I've been lucky enough to photograph this family since Jaxon was in mama's tummy. I got to meet him as a tiny newborn in their home. Got to see him grow up through milestone portrait sessions, so you can imagine I was incredibly thankful a time during one of my last trips down to the Central Valley made a way for me to take his two month portraits! The sweetest personality, the best smile, and I love that his favorite toys were never far- dinosaurs and trucks!!

We went to this gorgeous park down the street from both of our homes and I’m still swooning over how beautiful every bit of this new city we get to call home is!
