Today is...

Have you ever had days when you just wanted it to end immediately even you just literally woken up? 

Or those days that you just want not to end because it is too amazing and you are just too tired from everything you just want that day to just slow down cos you deserve some fckn rest? 

Have you had days when everything is just not right?

What about days that is just too ironic?

I’ve had those days, and different versions of those. But today is neither of those days. But everyday like today, If I’m unsure of what to feel and what to say, or how to face today, either I open the web browser or  the Youtube app on my phone and play this poem.

Grown ups don’t want to grow up really

Overheard college kids talking about being busy and getting wasted every Thursday then claiming they're all grown up.

Ha. Okay. Wait until you're out of college, start earning and making ends meet. You'll hate being all grown up. You'll hate being responsible for all the shits happening (and not happening) in your life. You'll hate everything, almost everything. You'll be lost for a while but you'll find yourself or you thought so you found yourself, eventually. Your friends, family and followers on social media (let's pretend you have several, but if you do you must be famous. Congrats!) will think that you have everything figured out. But no. You just wish you have everything figured out. 

You wish you have all the time in the world. But time is a fucking runner, running fast away from you. Time is as elusive as finding your one true love. When you become part of the "grown ups", time is all you will be wishing and searching for instead of that "tunay na pag-ibig" and "forever". Because more time is all you need to have a complete 8 hour sleep (or an hour power nap), more time is all you need to beat the deadline, more time is all you will be praying for when you're stuck in EDSA's traffic so you wont be late for work. 

I’m sorry college kids, this is just me being so frustrated in life. This is me being frustrated that I HAVEN’T FIGURED OUT MY LIFE AS OF YET! And being the control freak that I am it’s getting me all anxious and panicky. This is me all envious of your young age, college kids, and of all your free time to do everything yo wished to do. 

But my personal issues aside, congrats on claiming early that you're already a grown up. That's a start... Maybe you won't be as lost as most of us in figuring out the grown up world. Maybe you won't be as exhausted as we are chasing time. Maybe when you get older (and wiser) you'll still be able to find that tiny spot on your calendar for a night out and getting wasted. For now kids, please stay young and stay alive. Don't grow up yet. Enjoy while it last!
