Understand me, understand us

"There aren't any good guys out there." That phrase has always made me cringe, simply because it isn't true. Good guys may be few and far between but they exist. I've never understood that stereotype until recently. It's hard to believe there are good guys out there when the one you thought was there to prove that not all guys are the same, turns out to be the one to hurt you the most. It's hard to believe good guys exist because we've been hurt too many times by guys we thought were "the good ones." So for you genuine good guys out there, don't get pissed at women who say there aren't any good guys out there. We know it's not true. Sometimes it just feels that way. It just means that our heart has been broken by the one person we thought was there to protect it, to keep it safe. Like I said, we know you good guys are out there, we just don't think we'll ever find you. But we still hope beyond everything that someday we will. Someday we'll find happiness with one of those good guys that "don't exist."
