Sydney, you took my breath away!
Cardrona Hotel is an 1800s establishment that still stands as a wayfarers stop for refreshments and relaxation between Lake Wanaka and Queenstown in NZ!
Old school on the windy route to the old Waiuta Ghost Town in NZ South Island, worth a visit!
Akaroa, NZ on the Banks Peninsula was founded as a Maori settlement and resettled by the French in 1830s (who thought they were buying the whole of South Island NZ but were a few weeks late to the game, as England had purchased it weeks before). The French created the enclave of Akaroa in French colonial style, and some of the homes and shops are still around today!

Gorgeous
Oamaru, NZ is one super quirky Victorian town with character and charm for miles! Would love to visit during one of their famed steam punk festivals.
Bye bye LACMA Noodles!! I was visiting the museum on Feb 12, 2017 as these beloved yellow strands (formally called 'Penetrable' by Jesús Rafael Soto) took their last germy swing at life!

Popular Film and TV Series Illustrations by Frederico Birchal
Brazilian illustrator Frederico Birchal’s contemporary illustrations pay homage to famous TV shows and films through an architecture revival. Featuring popular cinematic works like Breaking Bad, Friends and The Grand Budapest Hotel among others, Birchal captures the sensibility and atmosphere of the cinematic scenes.
John Lautner's 1957 'Pearlman Cabin' in Idyllwild, CA features a panoramic window facing the forest & a cement rotunda facing the entrance way. He uses elements of glass and cement, in his signature style, to bring the outdoors in.
Frank Gehry's 1958 'David Cabin' in Idyllwild, CA is a woodsy departure from his typical modern style that we see nowadays, but still a treat to see an artists early work as he begins to define his style!
Hector Guimard, 1867-1942
Buckminster Fuller (bottom pic) was an early practitioner of geodesic design. Though the concept was first developed by Walther Bauersfeld of Carl Zeiss optical company for a planetarium, Fuller was credited with creating the term 'geodesic' dome, and for its vast reach in American design. At the top we see his dynamic Montreal Biosphere (left) & Dymaxion House (right).
