[Manny smirked a bit, lifting a brow.] Is he an alcoholic? That’s rather ironic. [He chuckled.] Being sober is overrated anyway. Most of the time.
It's debatable [He blinked, brow furrowing] How's it ironic? [He snorted at the next comment] Yeah, but, I am trying not to give into addiction you know.
How is it...
[Leo couldn’t help but smile back at Kepler. Trust Kep to be cool.] Me neither actually but we can practice together. I’d like that a lot. Do you think your Master will mind?
[Kepler smiled, nodding along with his words only to chuckle at the question] Asher won't care. And even if he does he's not the type to go all super controlling on me. So yeah, that'd be fun.
He couldn’t help but chuckle lightly as he noticed the boy’s gaze. “Like the shirt?” Declan teased playfully, making his way towards Kepler. “Hey. Don’t be. I’ll be there with you, aye? You are not gonna be alone, and I’m not letting you get hurt or anything.” He said softly, taking the boy’s hands and kissing his knuckles gently, something he obviously loved doing. “Come on now. Are you ready?”
"Well, you are a very attractive man," he replied with a smile that quickly faded. As much as he wanted to be in a good mood, he couldn't right now. Not with what he was about to do. He let out a breath at Declan's words, nodding and swallowing thickly. At the kiss to his hand, he thought of River something in his gut twisted. He pushed the feeling aside, focusing on the more positive ones the act inspired, and smiled gratefully at Declan, "Thank you." He let out a long breath, nodding a bit, "As I'll ever be."

Asher furrowed his brows, staring at Kepler intently. “You couldn’t sabotage my computer if you tried.” He smirked. “There’s a password you could never ever guess. And you have no blackmail on me. I’m pure.”
"Care to gamble on that?" he asked, brow raising, only to snort as he goes on. "Pure? You're not more pure than me."
"We’ll find out." He chuckled. Already in the closet, Declan grabbed a black t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans and stripped without any worry. He put on his clean clothes, which hugged his figure well, and reached for a pair of shoes, sliding his feet in. "Aye. Easier." Declan answered and walked out of the closet, looking into Kepler’s eyes. "Are you nervous, Kep?"
When Declan re-entered the room, Kep's eyes scanned over him appreciatively. Once he realized himself, his gaze skirted away, lingering on the door. The older man's question made him swallow. "Yes," he admitted quietly, turning to look back at Declan. "Very much so. I...honestly I'm terrified."
Oh good. [Manny smiles, relieved for his friend that he seemed to be in safe hands.] Good, that’s good to hear. [He chuckles.] I’m glad you’re stuck with a good kind of ass. Those usually tend to be the best.
[Kepler smiled a bit and nodded, looking amused] Really my biggest worry about him is the fact he's very good at making it difficult to stay constantly sober.
How is it...
[Leo shrugged and smiled at Kepler] Accept my apology for disappearing the way I did. Maybe come play video games with me sometime?
I'm the last person to hold a grudge on someone for disappearing [He smiles] But if it'll make you feel better then sure. And, of course, I haven't touched a video game in awhile so I might be a little rusty but, that'd be fun.
Happy to see the smile on his face, Declan nodded, leading the boy to the living room and then up the stairs. “Then I suppose you are just gonna stay here.” He teased with a smile, letting the boy into his room as he let go of his hand and made his way into the closet. “Are we gonna have to talk to him?” He called out.
"Mmm I'm afraid you might get a bit tired of me in that case," he chuckled softy. However, the next question made him freeze, locked in place in the doorway. Kep shook his head, eventually uprooting himself and saying, "N-no. He's...gone. He got into trouble and left and that's really the only reason I'm not still locked in that house right now." He let out a long breath, leaning against the frame. "It's abandoned so we shouldn't run into anyone, least alone him."
"Aye. We can go tonight, then. Whenever you want, buck. Just gimme a second to put on some descent clothes." He said, glancing down at his white shirt now all wrinkled and his jeans. His smile grew larger at Kepler’s words and he nodded. "Of course I’m up for it, buck. You can even spend the night here, if you want to." Declan answered. "We can have tequila shots and eat popcorn or something. Whatever you wish."
Kepler knew if he didn't go tonight it'd take him months to work up the courage to try again and he was incredibly grateful that Declan was willing to do this now, on such short notice. He smiled gently, nodding, saying warmly, "I'd like that." He looked at Declan. "Guess I'll stick around until you feel like kicking me out then."
Ah, I see. I need information, Buttercup. Share this with me. Who? Is he a dickhole?
Oh yeah, he's an ass. [He says this in an obviously fond voice] But Asher's an old friend of mine so it's not exactly the bad kind of ass.
How is it...
Oh, okay. [Smooth Leo. You’re still a social master, he thought derisively.] That’s good. Glad you are claimed by someone decent. Me? Oh, well, I’ve had a pretty terrible year actually but I … I’m here. Trying to kinda make amends for disappearing the way I did. That’s about it.
I'm sorry, I hope the future's better [He smiled sincerely only to blink] Amends? Well, I dunno how much help I can be with that, but if there's anything I can do for you just let me know.
The reaction he got when he asked his question made Declan raise a brow, watching the boy carefully and nodding lightly when he started to speak. “So it’s not something you can really avoid, but it could be controlled?” He asked, frowning in curiosity. “Hmmm… Do you think you would have a panic attack if you slept with me? And what exactly action made by your partner would result in a panic attack, Kep?” He added.

"They sent me away to learn how to deal with it," he said slowly. "At first when people touched me I was scared he'd be angry with me. He'd spent so much training me to have to ask him for everything that the idea of doing something without permission terrified me." He looked away, swallowing a bit. "But part of it was also that, generally, I can come to associate physical contact, as well as being vulnerable, with pain. I think...as long as I know you're not trying to hurt me or cut off my air supply, that I'd be okay." He let out a long breath, eyes shutting.
"Hey, don’t worry, Kep. I’m just keeping my word. It’s the least I could do." He said. "And do you want to go tonight or…?" Declan asked before remembering the conversation they had moments earlier. Smiling playfully, he raised a brow. "Oh, you said you also wanted to hang out with me. Is that all the hanging out we are doing or are we gonna spend some more time together?"
"I'd like to get it over with," he murmured, nodding. As he went on, Kepler mirrored the smile weakly,"Well, if you're up for it I'd like to spend more time with you." He paused, adding quietly, "I might need it after this, actually..." The younger man let out a breath, eventually adding. "Of course, by that point you might not want to deal with me, so if you're not feeling it up to that then I'd understand if you didn't want to."
He shook his head and sighed softly. “Well, I can’t say I’m happy about this, but I did say I wanted to help you. And I meant it.” Declan said, ending the short distance between them and gently taking the boy’s hand. “It doesn’t make difference. I’m gonna be there with you. Aye?”
Kepler blinked, pausing before squeezing his hand back. His eyes flashed away, locking on the door, hesitant, "I'm not exactly happy about it either." He paused and then stared up at him, murmuring sincerely, "Thank you. Really...I...this means a lot to me."
How is it...
Yeah… well… [Leo nodded] Yeah, that wasn’t really my choice. You okay. When I left you were kinda on lockdown with like a creepy master guy. No more video game marathons allowed. What’s going on now?
[Kepler froze a bit at the question, caught off guard by it] Oh, I... [He trailed off, smiling weakly] I'm fine. He's gone and I'm claimed by an old friend so yeah it's going okay. How about you?
How is it...
[Leo looked over his should at the sound of a voice and then grinned when he recognized the person speaking.] Kep! I’m so happy to see you.
Hey [Kepler smiled warmly] Didn't think I'd get to see you again.
Declan waited for the boy to get a grip on himself and start talking, but he couldn’t deny that he was growing nervous. When he finally spoke, he listened quietly, sighing in relief at the explanation. “Aye. If that’s it, I’ll take you.” He said, once again running a hand through his hair and walking towards the other, but stopping a few steps away.
Kepler blinked, honestly surprised by this answer. "Really?" he asked, staring at Declan as he approached. "Because it's okay if you don't want to I just..." he let out a long breath, eyes fixing on the floor as he adds quietly, "This isn't going to be a fun trip."
