tom’s adoptive parents were going to be ecstatic about him meeting someone of his biological family. they knew more of his parents than he did since they kept photographs and meaningful items so that their adoptive son could have something to connect to. according to silas, the paramedic had dodged a point blank bullet. he drew in a breath then released, “yeah. you know,” lips pressed together, “they’re not that bad.” speaking in reference to their distant uncles. 

a laugh escaped his lips before he reached out to take the mozzarella stick, “oh right, i can. hey, you can too — by calling the paramedics and adding pressure to my wound. i’ll do my best to stay conscious enough to tell you what to do.” he spoke lightly and even smiled before dipping the fried cheese stick into the marinara sauce. “don’t mind if i do.” after scarfing down the appetizer, he asked, “how long till you graduate? ‘cause i’m hoping you could hook me up with a ticket to the ceremony.”

it was odd that tom seemed to have a positive view of their still living predecessors. on the other hand, tom was a good guy, full of positive energy. it wouldn’t be him if he couldn’t see something good in the original salvatores. sarah, however, couldn’t see past the fact that they were killers.

“i promise i try my best. even though i still hope we’ll never get into that situation.” there was a reason why tom was the paramedic and not her. she would probably panic and make everything worse. but she would try her best, she wouldn’t let him die. she watched him eating and tilted her head a little bit. “hm, what about dessert? a muffin, perhaps? i know they have blueberry muffins.” she asked, because she longed for something sweet after having the fries.

the girl raised both eyebrows in surprise “oh, i guess you have to be patient. i plan on making a semester abroad, perhaps in france. i will probably graduate in two years, if everything goes well. but i’m more than happy to organize you a ticket - if you still have time in two years.” and she would really love to have him there, celebrating with her, because he is part of her family.

enzo killed both sarah and tom.

he obviously killed tom because he snapped his neck (at least it was a quick & painless death)

he got sarah killed, because the siren snooped inside his mind and he wanted to get the focus away from bonnie, so he thought about sarah. thinking about sarah was a bad move, instead he could have just remember his ‘love’ for lily & ‘mourn’ her. sarah was stabbed and slowly bled to death in front of stefan’s eyes.

there was a geninue smile on her lips. after everything she learnt about her biological family, she didn't want to have to do anything with them. it was a lucy coincidence that they have met & she actually grew quite fond of him. he was the only one of her known biological family who wasn't a freak. "i agree, let's hope it doesn't come that way. even though.... if i happen to be the one who takes the bullet for you, you can save me. i don't know if it will work the other way around." sarah mused, after all she hadn't had any experience with saving lifes. she raised her hands in defense "but let's stop with that topic. just know i really appreciate it that you would do that for me too." sarah shook her head, laughed softly and pushed the basket a little bit into his direction "no, you can have it."
