is HDWR = how do we relationship?? also the post was helpful ty!!!!!
glad you found it helpful! and yes thats the one
u r one of the coolest spidey artists i know. do u have any tips for how u got so used to drawing him/his poses
thank you so much! ive got a few tips, idk how experienced you are specifically w drawing so some of these are a little more general advice in case that can be helpful to you or anyone else seeing this 1) practice a lot. its boring advice but it is kinda The Thing you have to do. the more you draw the better you will get as long as ur thinking about what youre drawing. more of a general tip than spidey specific but itll help a lot. 2) draw from reference as much as you can, find stuff that looks interesting and try to understand how muscle groups and all that work. you dont need to know and draw every single muscle or anything, but you should know the general shapes that make up each part of the body. usually i break parts of the body down into ovals and cylinders, some people do rectangular prisms and stuff, whatever makes sense. lately ive been taking figure drawing classes and i learned a ton from that about how to show volume and gesture better, ofc thats not an option for everyone so if you can find photos of models online thatll work too. 3) poses are a weird one because you cant really draw them from reference with a character like spider-man, but a trick i used to use a while ago is to just draw him moving in a 2d profile view and think about how he has to move. most of the poses wont be anything too interesting, but usually youll get something cool.
4) draw in 3d. i tell anyone this if they ask me for advice, try and be conscious of the fact that whatever ur drawing has volume and depth and try the best you can to capture that. 5) pay attention to art you're looking at if you're reading comics/manga and understand what artists are doing there, pick up anatomy shorthands and stuff wherever you can. study artists, study poses, etc. id recommend taking a look at spidey art ofc, but i also would recommend taking a look at stuff like romance/slice of life comics because they have to rely on expressions and body language a lot and there is a ton to learn there if you're paying attention. i just read HDWR and i feel like i learned a lot about everything im talking about despite it being pretty far off what you usually see from a spidey comic. sorry for going on so long. hope this post helped, feel free to reach out again if you have questions. good luck!

- Do I look like your girlfriend?
- No, my late wife. I don’t believe it, you could be her twin.
C'mon pryde he has not a thing on that paper it's been an hour how much do you have to say about one girl?
jenjan redraw from smth on twidder
hesitant to call this a redesign bc i changed so little but i wanted to draw spidey w the outside webshooters, made a couple other tweaks to balance it out. rly enjoyed using the shoelaces to convey motion, very happy w how they look
