kerem thought too highly of himself. and it was often the cause of kaan's short fuse. the way the other simply barged into his home, uninvited and unwelcome. how he set about cooking, and drinking from his collection. without so much as confirmation from kaan whether it was wanted. it irritated him, for the simple fact that this was his domain. that this was perhaps the one place in the world where he could let down any sort of wall. and now, once more, kaan was forced to keep them intact. for despite how far back he and kerem went, how their paths divulged on more than one occasion. there was still the thought at the back of his mind, the questions of what kerem wanted. and why precisely he had shown up now .
" keep being irritating, and i'll break your hand. " it had been his response to the comment of his manners, and that of when he'd last had a cooked meal. kerem did not need to know the intricacies of kaan's life. but he remained where he stood, only moving to settle the glass on the counter before him. " so far, not much. we don't know whether it's one person, or many. whether they are a man or woman. " he mused, as his gaze settled on the meal. if only to watch the motions. " it seems that they are gunning for the family right now. but they made sure all of us were aware it wouldn't end there. " he recalled the message at the gala, the one that spoke to knowing all their secrets. " i can only assume this will end either with the hollow's death, or the city cleaned of its filth. "
Kerem knew he got under Kaan's skin easily, and even right now with the other the picture of calm Kerem knew she still had gotten to him by being here cooking for him. But of course that had been the plan. Or at least part of it. He did enjoy riling Kaan up, but he did want to have a conversation with Kaan as there were things he needed to find out about this Hollow after the latest demonstration. And he knew Kaan would know as much as there was to know. Their paths had crossed enough in the past for Kerem to also know that Kaan had questions of his own. So this dinner was a peace offering. If Kaan shared some of what he knew, Kerem would gladly answer the questions he knew the dark haired man had. If he played nice of course.
"Irritating? And here I am making something I remember you enjoying in university." He shot over his shoulder, mock offended. "I will accept thanks in whatever for you think is fitting. Maybe a kiss if you keep up this flirting." He grinned and knew that would make the lovely vein pop in Kaan's neck. However, he grew quiet when Kaan finally started sharing some information. He took in all of it, only nodding to show he was following along until Kaan was finished. "They do seem very focused on the Family. Even this time, the Don being shot and his daughter framed for the arrest after being shot by a Kurtlar cop." It was extremely fascinating. It was very sophisticated as well and Kerem could see that this Hollow was fairly powerful. "Do you think they will wait until the Family is wiped out before turning their attention to you and the others or do you think they will strike earlier than that?" Kerem had heard about Kaan's organization and knew of their reputation, but Hollow was proving to be a serious enemy. "Do you need anything?" Kerem asked as he started plating the food, though he knew Kaan would understand he was asking about arms, not the food.
