What to expect in 2019
The world has been revolving around the internet at a pace faster than that of a bullet train. The first thing you do early morning is checking your phone and thatâs the last thing too. The Internet has brought a drastic change in our lives and we are confused, we should be thankful or sorry for the same.
The biggest revolution in the era of the internet was the introduction of e-commerce websites. Apart from food, water, shelter it is becoming the next necessity to survive of this generation. Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Uber, Ola, there are hundreds of them, but they never fail to mesmerize us with their tempting offers. They have discounts and coupons for every occasion, however lame it might be. They provide us with food, travel, money, loans, grocery; every least important thing that exists will definitely be in their categories to purchase. Letâs take a quick tour at some of the game changers that are all set to make us lazier (just kidding) in the coming year!
1) Â Â Donât cry, just fly - Â Â We started with horse carts and ended with bullet trains. Traveling overseas is becoming as easy as cooking 2-minute noodles. Thanks to MakeMyTrip, EaseMyTrip, Cleartrip, Goibibo, Yatra and every other travel website which is robbing our money in the name of convenience fees. Sorry, providing us with convenient travel options across the globe. But, Uber has decided to slap them with their new launch â UBERAIR. Share your flight trip in your personalized jet as easily as you book a cab. Isnât this wow?
2) Â Â Goodbye to billing lines - Â Â We all just love shopping. We shop when we need and we shop even when we donât need. But the one thing that we hate is waiting in those long queues for billing. Yes, we agree there are online shopping sites, yet there are offline shoppers too. To all such shoppers, Amazon Go will be your bae in the near future. Just shop and youâre free. The bill will be deducted from your account and youâll receive a text message. Oh God, shopping will be so much fun now!
3) Â Â Old is not always Gold - Â Â We have a habit of stuffing old clothes and toys and stuff in our cupboards with a hope that we might use them someday. These websites have decided to steal them from you, of course with your consent. Who had ever imagined that Facebook will surprise you with an option of selling and buying from being just a platform to connect? We are really wondering what Mark Zuckerberg is up to? It wonât be surprising if slowly Facebook starts providing food options too! Apart from Facebook, all the shopping websites will never fail to come up with an exchange and buy shopping fest. Those points are worthless many a times, but hey our cupboard has got some extra space.
4) Â Â Cash is too old-fashioned - Â Â In those ancient Indian days, we had those rituals of giving cash as blessings to all those sweet innocent children. But who does that now? Scan and pay and receive the easiest blessing. Payments have paved their own way with time. Demonetisation was a great deal to boost up Paytm, Paypal, Freecharge. But who said others canât do that? Hike and Whatsapp plunged into these unknown waters to split and pay and make lives easier.
Okay, apart from all of these we arenât forgetting all those blessings Google comes up with. Right from Google pay Tez, to app for cleaning apps and keep, and wait, I recently came across an advertisement of an app for knowing neighbors.Â
We have come across a long way and still, we have a long way to go. Chinese scientists are already marrying robots which send automated messages like a wife. We really donât know what surprise we are about to get just while opening our eyes the next morning.
