I wanna talk about this piece just a liiiittle bit because I thought very hard about it!!

First things first the chains holding her back are parts of the original Japanese script of Demon Pond by Kyoka Izumi, which is the play that Demon Snow (her ability) is based off of! Lokey I got the script off of a sketchy site so it may not be fully accurate but its whatever... The significance of this is how the Port Mafia constantly used Kyouka's ability to chain her to the Port Mafia so she would continue being an assassin for them.

Second off, this piece was mainly based off of the second opener to the anime, Reason Living, because at 0:59 she's strung up in chains with a red background as well, symbolizing her being constantly dragged back into the darkness in one way or another

As many people can honestly tell, Akutagawa's ability Rashomon is in the very background of my drawing to show Akutagawa's strive to keep Kyouka in the darkness no matter the cost.

Kyouka is also struggling towards the light in this drawing, to show how much she wants to live in the light with the Armed Detective Agency.

The reason I chose the quote at the very bottom from Dazai is because, in my opinion, that was the moment she wanted to take her life into her own hands the most. She wanted to be a good person for herself, Atushi, the ADA, and people she didn't even know the names of. This was also when she passed her entrance exam so she was accepted into the ADA

Anyways I've made myself very sad with this drawing because I love Kyouka so much, she is such a beautifully written character and her struggle is so real and consistent. I will be drawing her with Atsushi later as fluff for myself because OUGH. They are THE siblings and I NEED it after this drawing!!!

I'll be so real as an Asexual, I CONSISTENTLY forget that sex is an actual thing that people do. Like. I'll be joking with my non-ace friends and giggling about silly sex-based names and listening to risk-ay songs from artists like Sabrina, Chappell, Sombr, etc and it's like "Man that's a chill concept that's not real". And then I get reminded that its an actual thing people do and want and its like getting splashed with water and hit by 5 different trucks and I'm like. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!

The issue which trying to figure out how to write a character with similar issues as you is the fact that I'm scared as fuck to having characters with similar experiences to me for some reason and it's so difficult to write too because I cant put it into words

My Cutie Patootie for a character creation challenge with my friends!!! Her name is Aimee Perdita and she lives in a broken-futuristic-type world where a majority of the world is flooded and a lot of the population is made up of sea-creature-humanoids now. She is like the only human in the cast and she is immortal! She's the anti-hero of the story and foils the main character who was made by Sinful.bee.art on tiktok!!
