    ----”You humble me, darling.”---- The Virtuoso replied with a thin, gentle smile on his lips. His eyes focused on hers, there was something different about the way she looks at him, the pure honesty behind her gaze was something he couldn’t comprehend quite yet. He was used to lies, dishonesty, ulterior motives and he got good at reading them. It was only natural for someone who rode with the Cabal to have such an ability. He walked towards the piano, gently caressing the cover. Just like with his.. other performances, he had a ritual he needed to perform, it served no practical purpose, he just.. had to do it. The angle he approached it from, the speed with which he raised the fallboard, how he paced his fingers through the keyboard before he even began to apply pressure to any of them.

                                                                            As  a  soft  sigh  passed  between  her  lips,  a  look  of  disappointment  was  sent  his  way.  He  carried  negative  vibes  with  him,  along  with  a  lonely  aura  that  was  perceived  (  or  imagined  ?  )  by  the  woman  of  ginger  locks.  ————  Leona  made,  however,  no  judgment.  She  had  no  reasons  to  talk  immediately,  for  which  she  limited  herself  to  place  a  hand  on  his  shoulder.  A  light  touch  it  was,  a  somehow  comprehensive   &   caring  gesture  she  thought  appropriate  to  give  before  glossy  margins  parted  to  speak  almost  by  accident.  ❛  Whatever  you’re  holding,  let  it  go.  If  it’s  anguish  I’ll  listen,  if  it’s  fury  I  won’t  step  back.  Just  say  what  you  think  it’s  necessary,  as  your  crimes  won’t  be  punished  today,  nor  by  me.  ❜

    The hike up the mountain had been long and taxing on the body, yet at the same time.. rejuvenating. Nowhere have his lungs taken in such clean air, and nowhere has his eyes seen such serene beauty. It rivaled Ionia, yet comparing them would be unfair to both. Ionia is touched by wild magic, while Targon is touched by something otherworldly, cosmic.. celestial. The trek allowed his mind to.. soar. His creativity boomed, yet he didn’t see the brutalities that usually clouded his mind, he saw true beauty, serenity, and in the cloudy distance, perhaps he could find purpose.

    Whether he was too distracted by his own thoughts, or he genuinely did not hear any sort of footsteps, the demon’s heart jumped when he felt a stranger’s hand grasp his shoulder. Multiple different scenarios were now running through his mind, his thoughts of beauty now put on the back-burner. It was now fight or flight, and his hand immediately changed it’s grasp on his cane, which also doubled as a rifle.

    As he took a deep breath and his posture tightened, he was ready to unload every bullet chambered in his firearm, yet what followed next completely stalled any thought of filling up whoever or.. whatever was behind him with lead.

    ----”W-What?”----

~~ The archer huffed loudly and slammed her head back against her makeshift fur cushion, arm crossed, hues glaring at the other. “Point…..but drinking still remains fun….” She finally stood and sauntered over to follow his gaze. “Well damn…you might be right.” Watching shadows form within the rising snow flurries.

    He continued to watch through the window while listening to her. ----”Doesn’t sound like people to me, it’s huge and slow.”---- The demon said, basing his assumptions on the noises he’s heard and small glimpses of the creature he got. Backing off from the window to pick up his weapon, this time he was traveling with something much more mobile and convenient, given their current situation. A finely crafted lever action rifle, with oriental engravings all over.
