can we be real like the innocence of el's character makes her so great. she literally steals eggos bc they're connected to someone she cares about & who cares about her, and she's never been exposed to the outside world or friends, yet she still loves these boys so fucking much that she flips a car for them and saves mikes life when he jumps, and she goes to the goddamn upsidedown for them bc she just knows that's what friends do. she has this awful background w this manipulative man, yet she comes into the real world and experiences pure friendship and love for these kids, and develops this connection to a motherly, caring figure like joyce at the end of the series!!! her experiences w the boys are just so pure and fresh and i'm sorry but el's character development is just fantastic.
