You mean that one song you had playing on repeat for hours? No.
What kind of band releases their single in the middle of the night? Don’t they value sleep?
Yeah, they do that. Honestly, I don’t think they value my sleep.

You mean that one song you had playing on repeat for hours? No.
What kind of band releases their single in the middle of the night? Don’t they value sleep?
Yeah, they do that. Honestly, I don’t think they value my sleep.
Nope. I’d rather sit here, away from the sun, the heat and the horde of women flocking towards you. It’s getting kinda weird.
But there’s always hordes of women flocking towards me.
“Perhaps you should wear a sack over your head to keep them at bay.”
He looked at Alex like he’d just personally affronted him. “And hide this face?”
“I highly doubt it’s temporary.” Alex scoffed. The woman had a one track set of mind. If she wanted something, she would do whatever means necessary to take it. And knowing her, he was more than sure she wanted more than a casual conversation over tea and biscuits.
He took an abrupt left towards a crowded street. “You’re more than welcome to stay behind and speak to her on my behalf, if you want.” He muttered tersely.
“Hah. There isn’t anyway you’re gonna make me deal with your shit for you. There is not enough money in the world,” he announced, rolling his eyes. “You don’t get to sneak out of this. Plus, I don’t fuck with people who may cause me bodily harm. And I can’t believe you managed to rope me into this. I’m an innocent party!” he exclaimed, gesturing to himself. “Isn’t there a faster and easier way to get out of this hole you dug yourself in?”
Honestly. The one time in the week that he decides he wants to go out and eat proper food and not just cup noodles and Alex manages to pull this shit on him. The guy had a personal vendetta. He looked over the crowd and he could still see her dress and her high heels and sped faster, grabbing Alex’s arm. “Hurry up, man,” he shouted over the crowd. “Why is she so fast? Is she that driven by her utter hatred for you? I relate,” he mumbled. He ran towards an obscure alley and hid in the corner, out of sight.
He peeked at the street to see if she was anywhere near them and ducked his head back into the corner when he spotted the fabric of her dress.
Alex shoved his hands into his coat pockets, then gestured for him to keep walking. Of all the people he would have gladly stumbled into, it was Gino. He could have tolerated Dom for an hour or two, and he imagined the man would have probably distracted his former girlfriend and he’d be free to leave the lobby undetected. Pavel would be a good alternative, or perhaps even Sera.
He looked over his shoulder, and he could see she was still following. “She’s an ex-girlfriend.” He answered, casting him a perfunctory glance before looking straight ahead. “After our rather abrupt end to the relationship, she thought I was having an affair with someone, so she attempted to stab me.” He paused for a moment, grimacing at the memory, then added, “With a fork.” He can almost hear Gino telling this story to everyone else, with additional insulting remarks, of course.
“I’m surprised she had enough tolerance not to stab you with a knife instead,” he deadpanned. Jesus. Of course this guy just happened to have an ex who is entirely willing to get rid of him. Permanently. Gino wouldn’t really have put it past him, but he thought that kinda thing was more TV drama happenings and not real life happenings. Honestly, he should’ve known better. This guy’s life was utterly ridiculous.
And now, they were running away from his ex, who may possibly be unhinged. And incredibly fast, actually, especially considering she was on those ridiculous heels. “Hey. Maybe she got over her temporary bout of... insanity. And is now willing to talk things over,” he shrugged. “If she happens to stab you, I’ll make sure to be ready to call 911,” he said, showing his phone to Alex. Which was quite hard to focus on anyway, considering they were half running.

I couldn’t sleep last night. I blame you.
Oh. Uh, sorry. I was just really excited. I mean, One Direction decided to release their single in the middle of the night, and how can I not listen to it, y’know? It’s really nice. Wanna listen?
“You’re late. Where have you been?”
“I know, but the girls, man. The girls. They keep asking for me to stop and take pictures. And, well, who am I to say no?”
You got a point there.
Of course I do. Anyway, wanna swim with me? The water’s not bad.
Alex had felt the sudden inexplicable urge to strangle him. He raised his hand, as if to silence him, but before he could inflict any bodily harm on the man, he caught sight of her, beautiful and determined, taking long and purposeful strides towards them.
He wasn’t ready to have a conversation with her right now, especially with Gino around. He wouldn’t hear the end of it. Without a moment to lose, he gripped Gino’s forearm and half-dragged him towards the exit. He briefly thought of leaving him there, but knowing Gino, he would only cause more harm than good if he had been left interacting with the woman.
“Hey, dude, what the fuck? Ow, come on, man, let go,” he half exclaimed, pulling his arm away from Alex’s grip. “Shit, I was just kidding.” Sort of. “What’s with the half run to the exit?” He looked at the hallway, at the girl who was heading towards them as fast as she could without running with an oddly determined look in her eyes.
“Wait. Is she--? Are you--?” It was quiet for a moment, and then. “Well?” He demanded. Amusement shone in his eyes as he waited for the answer. As far as he was concerned, the Great Pompous Alexander Rochester III, was running away, scared shitless. “Hah,” he laughed.
Okay, fair point. You’re already used to not covering up anyway.
Well, it’s not like I got anything to be ashamed of. Besides, what was that saying? If you got it flaunt it or something? Yeah. That.

“I understood perfectly.” He muttered, his features shifting to blatant annoyance. “And will you keep your voice down? You’ll attract unwanted attention with that loud mouth of yours.”
Gino rolled his eyes. "Oh, am I?" And then much louder, "Am I attracting unwanted attention? Gee, lemme think on that. Hey, what about you, lady over there, what do you think?"
bxrnthecities:
Don’t you have an extra pair? And a t-shirt maybe? You’re attracting plenty of attention with those girls over there.
A t-shirt? At a beach? Come on, Sera.
I really hope the ocean didn’t just happen to sweep away my shorts.
“Really? I was so sure your method of handling your problems involve running..”
“Among others. And not always literal running, y’know. Rich boy like you, I woulda thought you guys had better education to get taught about meaning things figuratively.”
Caitlyn baby, you make me want to cry.
