✧ Introduction Post ! (reworked)

Hey there! I’m known as Kherxy (pronounced as Cherry), or Chair as a nickname, and I go by any pronouns, though I suggest to not use she/her often.

My main fandom is Numberblocks, but I enjoy other pieces of media like anime and manga, video games, etc. Here is a more detailed list:

(Note: Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havac and Persona 5 Royal are the only games I’ve seen from their respective franchises, so please don’t spoil me by talking about other games.)

You can find me on other social platforms such as Wattpad, Pinterest, and TikTok all under same username. I do want to clarify that I’m not so active on social media anymore.

✧ Additional Things About Me !

•. Kherxy is an alias I go by for interacting with Learningblocks content, which is separate from my main alias that I use to interact with non-Learningblocks content. I do this so I wouldn’t be bullied for liking a kids media at my age.

•. I’m too much of a grammar freak, so don’t mind when I’m taking the time to add the correct punctuation and using the appropriate tenses. Also, I know that I often speak too formally. I think I know how to stop it, but sometimes it’s just like that naturally.

•. I know I’m queer, but I’m still exploring my identity. For now, I identify with the aroace spectrum, and I’m at least genderqueer. I also suspect I might be neurodivergent, but I haven’t gotten a proper diagnosis.

•. Shipping is a big part of my fandom activity, and I consider myself a multishipper. However, I’m not a perfect multishipper. In other words, just because I’m multishipper doesn’t mean I’m satisfied with anything; I still have my preferences (~_~;)

Hi, welcome to my rambling session and today’s story is about how I accidentally made myself believed that there was a Numberblocks version of the “Thank you Chainsaw Man” image.

What I thought I remembered happening was that I opened TikTok, and the first post to come up was the Numberblocks version of the “Thank you Chainsaw Man” image.

What broke the illusion when I tried to recall what was actually in the image. I thought I saw NB1 in replacement of Asa saying “Thank you…” but after that I couldn’t even be sure if she even said “Numberblocks.”

Another thing is that, if NB1 replaced Asa, then who replaced Denji? In my mind, I think it imagined nobody, but I can vaguely remember that there was a floating orb which I suppose it was the What-iffer, but if this was an actual image, why is NB1 calling the What-iffer “Numberblocks”??? Wouldn’t it be the other way around???

Even though there were enough concrete evidence that my memory was fake, I decide to do a final confirmation by searching for “Numberblocks x Chainsaw Man” on TikTok, and although I didn’t finish typing out the prompt, none of search suggestions said anything about Numberblocks and Chainsaw Man at the same time, so I left it at that. Maybe the image actually existed and if I actually went through with it, I would’ve seen it and be relieved that I’m not crazy. However, I didn’t want to embarrass myself internally even further.

My guess on why this happened is that Chainsaw Man is currently a relevant piece of media to me because I recently finished watching Season 1 and the movie, and Numberblocks might be slowly coming back as a fixation for me.

That’s the end of my rambling session, and I don’t know if I will make more.

I can’t be the only one who realizes that the Learningblocks community doesn’t really have an official or generally-accepted way of distinguishing between the names of the Learningblocks characters and other characters with the same names from different pieces of media.

Because of this, I've come up with two proposals, and I want you guys to tell me which one you prefer, or if you think there are better ways.

Proposal #1: Using words like "Alphablock," "Numberblock," "Colourblock," or "Wonderblock" as a title for the Learningblocks characters.

E.g., Alphablock A / Numberblock 1 / Colourblock Red / Wonderblock Go

I'm going to be honest with you, I've only thought about this with only Alphablocks and Numberblocks, but when I pair it with other Learningblocks series, it sounds a little bit wonky, y'know? Then I thought about the human AU. Could they still be referred to as those even if they're not blocks anymore? Another thing is that I wanted to shorten the titles like "Numberblock" to "NB" or "Colourblock" to "CB," but then I realized that "AB B" or "AB C" doesn't sound all that good. That's why I have a second idea.

Proposal #2: I've noticed on AO3 that in certain fandoms, the canonical tags end with the names of the pieces of media for those fandoms.

E.g., [Character's Name] (Fandom) / [Relationship] (Fandom) / No Beta We Die Like [Character's Name] (Fandom)

So for Learningblocks, the tags (at least in AO3) would be like…

E.g., B (Alphablocks) / 2 (Numberblocks) / Blue (Colourblocks) / Stop (Wonderblocks)

I'd argue that this way is a little less creative, but hey, at least it's inclusive and doesn't sound too janky. The only con I can think of is that it'd be annoying and inconvenient to type out, especially if you've got a lot of characters to tag.

Going back to what I was saying in the beginning, I want you guys to tell me your opinions about this and feel free to say how much my ideas suck (that's an exaggeration; please don't be so harsh with me).
